You feel like you are in a prison, the orders and every claim must correspond to the expectations of the innkeepers, otherwise you will be met with withering looks and iron cold. It's gotten to the point where other guests are also noticing it and showing their solidarity with us. The thing is obvious: the innkeepers want their guests so that they can have peace and quiet in this otherwise beautiful place. Everyone else is shown that they are only welcome if they spend a lot. P.S. Can confirm a previous report: Families with small children will only be accepted if the children sit in the chair!! Of course you can set your own rules in your own economy, but that is simply discrimination.

I'm shocked... Today I was with a friend at the Liegehallenbeizli. At the very edge, two tables away, there was a family with a small child, about 2 years old. At some point the child gets up and plays quietly with a stick. Then the waitress (I assume the boss, otherwise she should be fired straight away) comes running to the family as if bitten by a tarantula and shouts something about the child having to sit on the chair. The boss was so upset that I was afraid that she would attack either the parents or the child. How can you behave so badly as an innkeeper? Even as a mother, I like to be among adults only and without children. But when it's enforced like that, it completely ruins your day. There are some of these comments here and so far I have dismissed them as exaggerations. But it's the opposite, they're still expressed politely! I will definitely not set foot in the store again and will also share my experience with my friends. I don't know anyone who would tolerate such behavior. Apparently only old people are welcome here, but of course definitely not with grandchildren!

On September 5th, the three of us were at the Liegehalle-Beizli. We received a very friendly welcome and had a nice table under the trees. The salad buffet was fresh and plentiful, the meat and bratwurst were perfectly grilled, and the service was very friendly. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back.

We took a medium salt from the salad buffet. I usually only eat a little. Two pieces of meat. The food was fine. The bill came at the end. Fr. 3.50 surcharge for the salad as it is stated on the menu per person. We were not informed that there would be a surcharge if I eat a little of the salad. The rest can be thrown away. We were the last guests. Answer from the boss: It's called per person because it comes from the buffet. She can't have ONE breakfast from the buffet with her husband, she drinks a coffee and eats with them. Was very rude, annoyed and ran away. ……You get breakfast from the buffet a lot and several times. The salad with the matching plate only once. Or could we have drawn from it? The gods know that. So no appropriate answer, just petty and embarrassing. There are other restaurants.

A small quaint restaurant in Baldegg. Very nice seating to enjoy time with friends and family. The menu is limited but each of the items are very nice and tasty. The wine selection is nice as well.

You would think that you should be happy about every customer (at least I also depend on customers and the customers pay my wages and those of the employees). At this “restaurant” the motto is “eat or die” regardless of whether you have children or without! Absolutely unfriendly dirty shop, exusez for the choice of words, but please close the shop. A good tip for a good stay. Please don't talk, please don't bring children, definitely don't stand up, read all the prohibition signs in the entrance, order the overpriced drinks and meet the tip expectations. Cozy atmosphere on the Baldegg. Fine homemade cakes, Mövenpick ice cream etc. Easy to reach by bus and then a short walk from the restaurant. Even more comfortable than the restaurant, much friendlier atmosphere! Maybe I enjoy it here because it's so quiet, without screaming children. 😁 Unfortunately, when the weather is very nice, there are also a lot of visitors. 😋

This restaurant is a place for childless adults who want to spend time without shouting, there are also sun loungers available. Not suitable for parents with small children, this is also pointed out at the entrance, but the Baldegg restaurant is available for this. I think that's absolutely legitimate. Great pub in an idyllic setting with good food. To all the complacent parents who think that everyone always and everywhere has to be understanding of children running around and being loud: No! The lounge area is a place of peace where you can escape from everyday life in a cozy atmosphere. This is exactly what visitors are looking for and what sets the restaurant apart. If you want Rambazamba and a children's playground, you will find it in the immediate vicinity. However, I have to deduct one point because the service is actually not always cordial in person.

We didn't receive a very friendly welcome when we arrived with 2 beating children. The staff was not friendly and just did their job without smiling or saying thank you and please. When my 10-month-old son woke up and started babbling something, we were told that it was a place of silence. I asked if I should cover my child's mouth and the lady said maybe we should leave then. I have never experienced such impudence. The guests behind us were also shocked and also left the restaurant immediately. I don't recommend this place to anyone, you just don't feel welcome.

We came here spontaneously at 3 p.m. because the Baldegg restaurant didn't have anything to eat. Here we were able to help ourselves to a wonderful, plentiful salad buffet and enjoy a freshly grilled sausage. A little insider tip if you fancy simple but delicious things.

After being ignored for 15 minutes (the waiter walked past the table several times without saying hello), you are spitefully asked about your order. When I wanted to order the syrup, the waitress opened the menu reproachfully, slammed it on the table and told me that she couldn't do anything with my order - an absolute impudence, not possible. Children and younger people are not welcome here, nor are two men together. An older guest wanted to pay with a card at the neighboring table, and the service immediately became abusive - there was no such thing up here, they didn't have such "boxes". It's a shame that such a beautiful place is being destroyed by such negative and unfriendly people. It's best to avoid this place. Really ruined my Sunday.

Sausages are grilled outdoors and home-baked cheese is served here. The rustic restaurant is popular with hikers and bikers. It is open from March to October in sunny weather and is located right next to the Baldegger water tower. I noticed that there are no bike racks. The cyclists had parked their bikes around the house and leaned against them.

Unique, in summer with lawn under your feet and possibility to lie down! After a hike, THE place to eat, rest, relax and/or simply enjoy the sunbath while having a drink.

Great excursion restaurant close to the city with public transport connection from Baden BHF (bus).
