We celebrated our son Dominic's confirmation this Sunday. We were allowed to have lunch in the old Venerable Lion. Everything was to our complete satisfaction. We would love to come to you again. Thanks. Lehmann family

Finally we have a restaurant again in Niederglatt where the food is very good and varied - the price is right - the service is nice and attentive - you feel welcome - the ambience is also right - it is pleasant in the garden despite the heat - great - I can only recommend it!!! Unfortunately, the food has become rather expensive in the meantime - a shame - unfortunately there are no Asian or international dishes on the weekly lunch menu anymore, only Swiss cuisine - a shame!!!

The best comes last - the landlady - is the icing on the cake - the "dot" of the whole restaurant! Hello, I went to Rest. Löwen Essen yesterday and was disappointed. We had to wait 1 hour for our Gordonbleu and then a fried Gordonbleu arrived that was absolutely dry and not edible. The home-made fries are great but they don't make up for the whole menu. I just think that's a shame... I also thought the staff was very stressed, especially when we brought this up, they didn't pay us much attention. Always the same long wait for dessert. For me once and never again.

Went to Löwen for the first time yesterday and even though the price was higher, it was absolutely worth it. Fresh ingredients, friendly service and nice ambience. Amazingly there wasn't anything going on.

The extra portion of vegetables for 7 SFR was unseasoned, practically uncooked and completely carelessly prepared. Dipped in butter, an empty promise! Leberli were ok, but already cooled down, Rösti was good. The tartare was ordered medium, but was spicy, and the toast came to the table cold. The friendly feedback provided was rejected; criticism is obviously unwelcome. Given the rather high prices, a little HOSPITALITY might also be possible. The boss seemed more aggressive than courteous. Conclusion: 7 SFR more earned, 3 guests lost. A win-win situation...

We had a beautifully decorated table in the garden, the staff was very friendly and we never had to wait long for anything. The tartare I ordered as a main course was rather small, mild and had an unpleasant sour taste. The toast that came with it was not very crispy. The wine “Primitivo de Manduria” we ordered was very tasty. For dessert I had the Toblerone mousse, which unfortunately wasn't really a hit either.

We were there for lunch on Sun June 25th, outside in the garden. There were practically no people, but I can ONLY recommend the restaurant.
