Great bilingual preschool, full mornings including nutritious lunch. The coffee shop is beautiful, relaxing and family friendly. Absolutely incredible brunches on Saturdays and Sundays. Luus Muus is the place to host amazing parties for your kids and stunning events for adults.

Great place to have a bite to eat with kids.

I was there a few times because I live in Egg myself. Last week the quiche was a disaster (did the cook change it?) and once again there were mothers with screaming children who really don't know how to behave. Even if it's a place where the children can play, I think it's still the mother's job not to let it get too crazy! The prices are also on the limit for what you get. The staff is far too slow and always overwhelmed no matter who is there. Tables and chairs mostly full of crumbs. So it's only bearable when it's warm and you can sit outside, there are enough tables. It's actually a shame because there aren't that many coffees in Egg. When I read the other reviews it says the same thing, so I don't think anything will change.

Wonderful kids friendly place where parents can enjoy a delicious brunch while children can have fun and play. There is a play corner with a big variety of toys and books. Food and beverages are really good and the staff is nice and friendly. I went there for the third time with befriended couples who also have children and will continue to do so.

Nice play area for children, but that's all. On the day we were there there was no hot food. Reason: 'We didn't expect such a big rush'. It was December 27th. The bar employee was very slow Never again!

Great place to spent time here with friends and small kids. They have playing area for kids where the little ones can play and parents enjoy their coffee. The food is good and cake selection very nice. I recommend brunch here as it was full and nice. Staff is super nice and kids friendly. Very much recommending for the atmosphere for kids.

Well-located café and great concept with play opportunities for the children. However, on both occasions I visited there I found it quite dingy (of course - with so many children there are crumbs, but you have to be more careful about it...), stains on the armchairs and blankets etc. It's hard to know where to sit because of all the dirt on the surfaces (especially the textile seating). The toys are quite worn out. The toilets were also poorly maintained. And the service isn't really either good and overwhelmed - but small portions and rather high prices. Long wait in line as only warm food is brought. You could also work on more suitable foods for children - just a few more "healthy" things for children and not especially muffins (which aren't bad for us adults :-)) Would go again for a coffee, but some things could be improved to have a better experience there, as it is a very nice cafe with a good location and concept!

It was very dirty in general and had hair in the burger. Unfortunately the risotto wasn't good either. The prices are juicy... It's a shame because I've only heard good things so far... I hope it was a bad day

Great place for celiacs - they have gluten-free fries fried in uncontaminated oil (sweet potato fries are amazing), a burger option, quiche (also great), salad and two or three GF sweet options. They also have lactose-free and caffeine-free drinks. The service is always friendly, Caterina always makes you feel at home.

Unfortunately this cafe is, to some extent, quite out of date. We came here trusting all the pictures and the reviews. In reality there are literally no toys for kids to play. Some pieces of “lego” for children under 3 and quite dirty too. Some train tracks with no trains to play with. When we asked if they have some toys they asked for an ID 🤔 in exchange. So to sum up, not a pleasant experience.

Nicely designed but the service is more than a disaster!! I've been there 4 times now but I get upset every time. The play area is nice and big but unfortunately some mothers and children don't know how to behave. Rules are ignored, there are crumbs everywhere and no one cleans up. Brunch plates are minimalistically prepared and relatively expensive. A pity!

Great coffee with a family atmosphere. Delicious breakfast, juicy carrot cake, fresh teas and great coffee but also drinks, tasty burgers and beer. A place to stay! Everything was clean and well-kept for us, and the decoration was very creative and appropriate for the season! Always happy to go.

LuusMuus is a home away from home! A Moment to exhale, with great coffee. Normally we go for a relaxing moment, coffee, croissant or full brunch and the papers. Our granddaughter loves it! She meets other kids and they love to play/cycle/scooter on the large, safe square or cuddle on a sofa with a book. But LooseMoose also does ‚quick’! Last week we went for a pit stop lunch and had a fabulous quiche and crispy fries with salad served in no time. 👍🏻 Parking in the building. 😉 Forchbahn just outside.

Breakfast was average at best (you would definitely expect more for the price). Self-service, even though there were 6 of us in total (at least bringing it to the table would have been nice). For the children's milk you pay an additional CHF 1 for half a spoonful of chocolate powder... you can do that. Pleasant atmosphere with a children's corner.

Very child-friendly furnished. Nice and cozy to linger. Tables beautifully (autumnally) decorated. Unfortunately, reordering (Sunday brunch) didn't work out so well. We were 8 people including 2 children and 3 men (good eaters). Small portions of cheese and cold cuts but lots of different fruits. I think for the hefty price charged per person, the selection should be more varied and the portions larger. Yes, you can reorder, but since there is a lack of staff, it will be forgotten or it will run out of "bacon". That's why I "only" give it 4 stars

I give maximum 5* to this place, yet too few croissants are made in the morning. You can hardly find a good choice of whatever by 12-13 hour. And don't ever try quiche with pears and salmon.

Family coffee with large play area. Family atmosphere and good food. Great Sunday brunch but you have to make a reservation as there is a lot going on at brunch.

Perfect for families. It has a play area with toys and a large tarred area where the children can let off steam while the parents always have the little ones in sight and can still enjoy food and drinks at the table. Birthdays or aperitifs are organized with great care and the staff responds to wishes wherever possible. Syrup for the kids is free 👍 The toilets are very clean and a changing table is of course also available and is located in the disabled toilet. In winter there is a fire in the fire bowl outside. 🔥👍 An absolute plus for romantics and pyromaniacs! The staff is very friendly and knows how to deal with children.

Very pleasant since the author lives nearby. Good opening times, including Sundays. Attention, this is primarily a family-friendly place, there are a lot of small children there. When the weather is nice you can also sit outside, under a roof or completely outdoors. Better without a dog, as it can be really busy. If the children are outside, someone should always be watching, to be safe. The forecourt is relatively large and is bordered by the track of the Forchbahn Egg stop. The Luus Muus is family-friendly, you can have brunch on Sunday mornings (make a reservation?), otherwise there is a restaurant (opening hours are slightly shortened on Sundays. In addition to the Forchbahn stop, there is also an underground car park. You can of course go there without children.

This place is one of a kind! It was the first time we were hosting a birthday party for our sons friends from school as well as their parents. Consequently I was quite nervous about it and wanted everything to be perfect. Luus Muus not only exceeded my expectations but went way beyond. Ahmed and Nadia are absolutely wonderful people with a big heart, who adore their job and who will from day one give you the comfort that all will be fine. From decoration to food (cake and cupcakes were outstanding) to beverages, location, playroom. Everything was 100% perfect! We as a family, all invited kids as well as their parents had a wonderful time feeling super comfortable and cared for. Thank you Nadia, thank you Ahmed for creating this wonderful birthday experience for all of us!!!

A good cafe and I recommend you visit it

Today we were. Am back in the Luus Muus. And again it was very nice, highly recommended, the BeyondMeat Burger! Small point of criticism today, a Labrador in the restaurant. For a resti where children are constantly crawling on the floor, I would like "Dogs have to stay outside". From a hygienic point of view, I don't think this is ideal for the children, who usually come first here. Great concept, we'll always be happy to come back.

Basically a nice cafe with a good concept. Beautifully furnished and a place where you can spend a cozy afternoon with children. The children can move freely and have various play options. BUT !!!!! The toys are outdated and some of them are defective. The upholstery and armchairs are stained and the floor is dirty. The tables are also dirty from the guest beforehand. The toilets are not maintained. Paper is lying next to the bucket and you don't want to put anything down or let your child sit on the toilet independently. The service is nice and attentive, but also quickly overwhelmed. It is completely understandable that you are not allowed to have a picnic. But there is no choice to buy anything, especially for small children. The fruit salad is too coarsely chopped and the cakes are too sweet for small children. You won't find any crackers, muesli bars or rice cakes that are offered separately in other cafés. It would be nice if one or the other could be improved. Otherwise we would really like to come back more often.

Great location to drink coffee and chat. Unfortunately, the toilet and changing "table" are too dirty and inconvenient for a family coffee. There is still room for improvement here!

Great family frindly Café! staff is helpful and frindly and really much toys and activities for kids indoor. So a geat possibility when you search for a warm and nice indoor location with your kids. The choise and quality from the drinks and snacks are good. Even done healthy kid frindly opinions.

We had to wait 40-50 mins to receive: cold pumpkin soup, out-of-the-freezer blend and tasteless feta and spinach pie. Our girls received tasteless fries.We thought that the dessert will be OK, it was not! the children described the vanilla cupcake as: baked dough and refused to eat them.The damage costed: CHF 92, we will not go back to this place, oh yes the staff was not helpful.

Very nice cafe with great coffee, cakes, sandwiches and burger. Lovely ambience and family/kids friendly. And they provide infused water for free (which should be a normal thing but not a common thing in Switzerland). They also have a studio and activities for kids, perfect for mums with their young children!

Unfortunately the toys are very old and not well cared for and the books are broken. The toilet was very dirty and had pee on the floor. The food was carelessly prepared (a side dish of salad) and simply popped straight out of the pack onto the plate. NO thanks, if I am disgusted at letting our daughter play in a family coffee shop then that is a bad sign for a family coffee shop. GAME DATES are no longer available at LuusMuus from now on.

We hosted my son's 3rd birthday party at Luus Muus -- 15 adults and 9 kids (ages 5y - 5mo). What a wonderful day! Ahmed gave great guidance to help set up the day. The team at Luus Muus worked their magic to keep the day stress-free for the parents and magical for the kids. The cake was INCREDIBLE. Not only did it taste amazing (it was SO GOOD), but the decoration exceeded my hopes (we had a pirate theme). We were an active group, but they all managed to create a wonderful atmosphere for both kids and adults to enjoy the day. Thank you, Luus Muus, for all your hard work,patience, kindness. It was a wonderful celebration.

Perfect location to have breakfast / brunch or coffee with kids. Huge area of the restaurant is reserved for them to play.

Had the pleasure of meeting Nadia & her team at a work function in June19. They are super friendly, her cafe' and work space are so gorgeous, welcoming, comfy and easy to concentrate or relax in. And there's so many wonderful ideas for kids too. Hope to get to Luus Muus again soon, thanks for our time there, Lili G. Zurich.

Bad service. Wanted to organize a birthday party for my 1 year old son. I had to call several times to get the person in charge to finally call me. When I finally got a call, the employee was extremely unfriendly! Luus Muus NEVER

Very loud in the restaurant and after an hour you are asked to change tables. There are more guests coming who have booked the table.

Great location. Bright, modern furnishings. Here, drinking coffee and having fun with children are ideally combined. It's a shame because we went unnoticed with so few customers and had to order after a long wait at the checkout. If this is intended to be the standard, a note would be helpful. We would still like to come back. 👍

We organized surprise baby shower for our friend. Francy was very nice and helpful with the organization. We ordered the carrot cake which was delicious and we could decorate the cake how we wanted. All in all very nice experience. Thank you.

Ich habe nur tolle Erfahrungen mit Luus Muus/Loose Moose (tolles Wortspiel) gemacht. Ich gehe öfters mit der Familie brunchen. Das Buffet ist sehr gut bestückt, von Pancakes bis zu gebackenen Tomaten. Das Birchermüesli und der Speck ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Alles ist sehr modern. Es gibt eine Lounge Ecke und auch normale Tische um zu essen. Ebenfalls gibt eine Spielecke.Das einzige was mich ein wenig stört ist das Kindergeschirr, das für gewisse Sachen verwendet wird. Es wäre schön für alles eine "Erwachsenen" Variante zu haben.Ich war auch ein mal an einem Abend im Luus Muus und habe einen hervorragenden und saftigen California Burger, mit einem tollen Laugenbrötchen mit feinen Tortilla Chips gegessen. Das Craft-Bier dazu war ebenfalls gut. Zum Nachtisch gönnte ich mir einen sehr saftigen, nicht zu süssen und gut ausgewogenen New York Carrot Cake, sehr zu empfehlen.An diesem Abend gab es auch Live Musik von Solid Band (shoutout an die Band). Die Musik war wirklich toll.Die Präsentation auf Google Maps (mit allen Informationen), Social Media (Instagram etc.) und auf der Webseite ist sehr gelungen.Über die Kinderbetreuung und die Kurse kann ich leider nichts sagen, da ich noch nie teilgenommen habe.Das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis finde ich angemessen.Fazit: Ein tolles Café mit sehr leckerem Brunch und am Abend guten Burger mit moderner und angenehmer Atmosphäre.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Luus Muus/Loose Moose (great pun). I often go out for brunch with the family. The buffet is very well stocked, from pancakes to baked tomatoes. The Birchermüesli and the bacon are highly recommended. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Everything is very modern. There is a lounge corner and also normal tables for eating. There is also a play area. The only thing that bothers me a little is the children's tableware that is used for certain things. It would be nice to have an “adult” version for everything. I also went to Luus Muus one evening and ate an excellent and juicy California burger with a great pretzel roll with fine tortilla chips. The craft beer that came with it was also good. For dessert I treated myself to a very juicy, not too sweet and well balanced New York Carrot Cake, highly recommended. That evening there was also live music from Solid Band (shoutout to the band). The music was really great. The presentation on Google Maps (with all the information), social media (Instagram etc.) and on the website was very successful. Unfortunately I can't say anything about child care or the courses because I've never taken part. However, it must be mentioned that the café is designed for families and it can therefore be a bit noisy. But this doesn't bother me. Conclusion: A great café with a very tasty brunch and good burgers in the evening with a modern and pleasant atmosphere.

This is a family run cafe and play place. It's absolutely wonderful with friendly owners, friendly staff, and plenty of room for kids to play while parents can chat. Brunch on the weekends and spielgruppe during the week.

Coffee, cake and crawling! Excellent! Unfortunately, burgers for lunch are neither good nor cheap. I won't eat there anymore. As a place to linger and play, we would be happy to come back at any time - we (two dads each with a child (9 and 10 months) thought it was really great!

Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately not good value for money. I've just had bad luck with the cake so far. It was always dry and 6 CHF for a chai tea latte in a small cup is definitely too expensive. However, the homemade ice tea is recommended.

Sehr Angenehmes Personal. In Deutsch und English! Ideal für Familien, Personen die nicht nur in ein langweiliges (und leises) Cafe gehen wollen. Preislich etwas höher, aber angemessen - dafür können die Kinder sich austoben / Spielen in der Spielecke und man relaxen und ausruhen (als Elternteil;-)). I LIKE it !! Sehr gut - macht weiter so!!

Das Konzept finden wir super, das Angebot wird immer erweitert, aber es ist definitive KEIN kulinarisches Erlebnis. Trockene Kuchen, verkochte Pasta, schlechte Sandwiches, Hamburger naja... Das was wir schätzen ist die kinderfreundlichkeit, das Restaurant ist gemütlich und hell eingerichtet. Das Spielzimmer (CHF 10 pro Std) ist vielfältig und die dortige Betreuung gut. Leider kein wirklicher Aussenbereich (lediglich 3 mini Tische). Wenn es warm ist, ist die Türe des Restaurants geöffnet, was zwar angenehm sein kann, jedoch für Kleinkinder auch gefährlich, da die Forchbahn am Ende des Platzes verkehrt. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist es sicherlich eine gute Option einen Morgen oder Nachmittag dort zu verbringen.

My 20 month old granddaughter loves the Luusmuus playroom! She immediately checks out the basin table with the rainbow rice, then looks for ‚her‘ Peter rabbit and prepares him tea in the house-play section, then takes him for a few runs down the slide. For her it’s a magical world, she can even paint with real paint and brushes. She also loves that there are much older, ‚cool‘ kids there too, at least 4year olds! ;-) While she’s happy playing, I can relax and enjoy a cappuccino from the café next door.

A warm and friendly bilingual place. Great coffee, good food and cold drinks. The pre- school and playroom are top notch and my children has plenty to do and many to play with. Two studios offer courses for children and adults. The play group looks interesting and I will sign my kids up for a trial session

Great kids friendly Café with a lot of space. Every time we visit with our daughter we can finally enjoy a very nice coffee without having her frustrated after short time like in other coffeeshops. Its an inspiring surrounding which our daughter is always delighted to discover. When she gets into the mood of playing we let her visit the playroom next door and she looooooves it!!

Wir haben nach einem Café gesucht, wo wir mit den Kindern hingehen können. Luus Muus hat gemäss Internet ein interessantes Konzept und einen Eltern- und Kinderfreundlichen Leitfaden: 'Sie können sich entspannen, denn Sie wissen, dass sich Ihr Kind in einer behüteten und lehrreichen Umgebung befindet'. Leider musste ich feststellen, dass ein wichtiger Punkt nicht beachtet wurde. Die Sicherheit der Kinder. Die Türe zum WC erweist sich als Gefährdung der Sicherheit für die Kinder. Hinter dieser Tür befindet sich ein Notausgang, welcher direkt zur Strasse hinausführt. Im Café gibt es keine Hinweise auf diesen Notausgang. Lediglich der Notausgang selbst ist mit einem Piktogramm versehen. Jedoch nicht die Tür zum WC, dahinter sich der Notausgang befindet. Laut Vorschrift muss der Weg zum Notausgang (Fluchtweg) deutlich gekennzeichnet sein. Es kam beinahe zum fatalen Unfall, als zwei Kinder die Tür zum WC aufmachten und dann aus dem offenen (!!!) Notausgang hinunter auf die stark befahrene Hauptstrasse rannten. Wieso die Türe offen stand? Laut Chefin werde der Notausgang manchmal absichtlich zum Lüften geöffnet (!!!). Die Werbung des Cafés verspricht Kinderfreundlichkeit, in der Realität jedoch mangelhafte Sicherheit. Der Fluchtweg sollte im Café klar und deutlich mit einem Piktogramm oberhalb der WC Tür angeschrieben sein. Zum einen, dass man als Gast mit Kindern weiss, dahinter befindet sich ein ungesicherter Notausgang und nicht nur ein WC. Zum anderen im Falle eines Brandes, damit die Gäste wissen wohin sie gehen müssen. Dieses Café werde ich nicht mehr besuchen.
