Madeleine - Café, Livres & Co in Lausanne

Very nice place, the drinks are of superior quality However, there are few places inside, and the hours on the site do not correspond since they close the café at 4:30 p.m. (which is quite early and which is a shame, but it's a choice)

Bad service. After a really long wait, the barista made me the wrong coffee, didn’t apologize and only grudgingly replaced it with another after his colleague asked him to!

I can't go as often as I would like, but I have always had a very warm welcome. Thank you 🙏 🙏 🙏

It's good to stop at Madeleine! As soon as you enter, there is a smiling welcome in a unique, peaceful, timeless atmosphere. Their choice of books is interesting with often deep subjects and the staff is great at answering questions. My iced coffee was excellent. I recommend !

Good coffee but there are only 4 seats, and to sit upstairs they don’t give you coffee in a mug just in paper one… even if you ask for a normal one. Not really ecological from them.

Wow, this little café located on rue Madeleine near the Lausanne market is simply chic. The atmosphere is joyful, relaxing and very good discussions take place. I don't like coffee that much, their other drinks are all unique and their 1.- syrups are great for a hot day, thank you Café Madeleine!

Nice third wave coffee shop with an interesting choice of coffee beverages. I recommend the affogato with pistachio ice cream and the Matcha latte.

Favorite place for morning coffee. Too bad they closed the upper floor, it was very nice.

This is a place that I highly recommend! The place is cozy and extremely well designed to make it pleasant and friendly. The service is complete and cordial. The staff is fully capable of guiding your choice as well as helping you to fully benefit from your experience. The madeleines are good and out of the ordinary which makes the moment a little more special! The coffee is good and the prices are in line with the quality of the products and service!

Little nugget in the center of Lausanne, cozy place and nice concept. Order at the bar and possibility of reading/working on your computer for a maximum of one hour. Very good coffee, I will come back!

Nice cute cafe in the middle of Lausanne. Number of seats are limited (5-6 tables) and need to order before seated. I appreciate the attentive service, they deliver the order to your table and even pour it for you (I was observing the other table that ordered canned and bottled drinks). For the drinks, the cold brew was OK and the hot tea can be refilled. They also provided free water dispenser. For the madeleine, get tea madeleine or enjoy the free mini madeleine served with your coffee order.

Cozy cafe to enjoy a good cup of coffee and spend some time. Highly recommended

Great atmosphere, there are 5,6 tables, coffee is good(-ish), several rules are expected to be followed (order first before you sit on a table-computer usage time is limited etc.)

The place could be nice but the service is approximate and I don't subscribe to the concept of ordering at the bar to be served at the place (mega wait to order then to be served). Too bad because the coffee is good and the Galata madeleines are delicious

Warm place where you can stay all day tasting delicious madeleines (a big favorite for the bergamot one) accompanied by a carefully prepared “Flat White”. The welcome in the bookstore or at the café is with good humor and a smile. Very popular freight elevator for going upstairs with a stroller. Thank you very much for this quality time.
