Mandarin in Genève

Good and authentic Chinese cuisine. Definitely the best Dim sums in the town. The service is impeccable. A restaurant that one can keep on going back and never regret it

Fuimos allí para una comida improvisada con un amigo y nos fuimos para dim sum. A la brasa de cerdo, arroz y pasta de camarones, sopa de arroz, cerdo a la parrilla, brécol chino. Algunos precios pueden parecer caro (22 CHF por brócoli chino) pero la calidad es, sin duda.Todo muy sabroso, lleno de gente asiática, que era una buena señal, un servicio amable y eficiente, limpio y aseo y restaurante el lugar estaba a tope. Tipo me recordaba de Hong - Kong.Sin duda volveremos.

Este es un hotel excelente y el personal fue increíble. sabían por mi nombre en cuanto entré en el vestíbulo, inmediatamente nos ofrecieron bebidas y eran una delicia para interactuar con.

Muy buena experiencia con el domingo menú especial con muchas auténticos platos chinos. El día especial eran dim-sum y, con la ayuda de una atenta camarera, pudimos componer un muy buen menú a un precio razonable (para Ginebra por supuesto ... ). Demasiado malo la decoración y ambiente general es bastante antiguo un poco atractiva.Asegúrate de reservar con antelación, sobre todo en los fines de semana, ya que el lugar es un favorito de la comunidad asiática en Ginebra.

Das Restaurant sieht ok, aber das Essen ist schrecklich. Der Service war in Ordnung, d.h. , nur der Koch ist selber schuld. Ich nahm Peking Ente, Desaster.

You know it is good when you see many chinese people having dim sum on Saturdays and Sundays. Good service, reasonable price (around CHF30 to be full).

Sehr gute Preis-Kombination für 20 Euro pro Person. Sehr zentrale Lage. Guter Blick auf die Straße.

El servicio y la comida eran excelentes! dim sum excepcional, la comida estaba bien preparada. El servicio es estupendo y muy amable. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante!

sopa caliente y amarga fue muy bueno, fideos con carne buena, rollos primavera no recomendaría, dumblings con gambas muy bueno, Peking Duck bueno, con una buena selección de vinos incluye botellas

Ich war als Touristenführer mit einer Gruppe Geschäftsleute aus Peking zum schnellen MIttagessen ins Mandarin eingeladen worden. Das Restaurant ist sehr asiatisch eingerichtet und vermittelt das Gefühl, in China zu sein. Die Speisen kamen sehr schnell, heiss und ansehnlich zugerichtet auf den Tisch. Wie bei den Chinesen üblich, wurden unzählige Platten aufgetischt und jeder bediente sich von Allem. Die Suppe war schon ausgezeichnet und die übrigen Speisen köstlich. Auch wenn ich nicht bei jeder Speise wusste was ich verzehrte. An jedem Platz stand schon ein Glas heisses Wasser bevor wir richtig sassen. Das Wasser ist um den Organismus zu reinigen. So habe ich das jedenfalls verstanden. Trotzdem habe ich mir noch eine Cola bestellt ;-) Allerdings über einen der Geschäftsleute aus meiner Gruppe, da zwei der angefragten Bedienung doch tatsächlich kein Wort Englisch oder Französisch konnten. Vielleicht ist das schon ein Hinweis auf echt chinesische Gourmeterfahrung?! Ueber die Preise kann ich leider keine Angaben machen. Aber ich würde auch privat hierher zurückkehren!

We had a lovely meal here and I would recommend it. The menus have a lot of English translations on them and the staff were very accommodating.It was a little expensive - but Geneva is, and this wasn't any more expensive than anywhere else.The only downside is that when we paid our bill it had been automatically converted into GPB - with a poor translation rate and a 3% translation charge! A bit cheeky, I thought, but still doesn't detract from a lovely restaurant.And lastly, if you go, try the caramelised strawberry dessert - to die for!

This is probably one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Geneva, as I first ate there as a child in the late 1970's. Such longevity should indicate it has got the basics covered.This discreet, low-key restaurant's entrance is not obvious to find, nor is it at street level. On the other hand, its spacious square layout on the second floor of an office building means half the tables are window-side, and have more privacy than average, making for a very relaxed dining experience. That it is usually not particularly crowded also helps.The food is at the restaurant's image, not particularly memorable nor disappointing, and served by not particularly worldly but efficient staff. Foreigners will find the prices expensive, but they are par for course for a hygienic Chinese restaurant in Geneva, where most Asian sit-down restaurants are considered exotic and priced accordingly.

It's so-so. The duck was pretty decent, though some of the other things were mediocre. All-in-all it's overpriced, and I don't know about "Geneva" standards but based on all the Chinese restaurants I've been to in the US and London I would not go back here again.
