Manora in Basel

Needed a coffee and couldn't resist the food. And : what a view and huge rooftop. G8 place to eat and rest.

The breakfast buffet has a large and good selection and the coffee tastes very good. It's a bit loud and hectic, but that's the nature of a busy self-service restaurant on a Saturday. And the fact that it is well attended speaks for the restaurant.

Good place, decent selection even though it does not change over time. Usually no waiting time, just grab what you want and pay at the counter. 2 floors, terrace available so you can eat on the roof with a nice view. Service is polite. Reka card accepted here. Also there are 2 'kitchen corners' one is from Lebanon - also not bad to have that from time to time.

Really satisfied, I was looking forward to the dessert, the round one with Nutella, but unfortunately it didn't taste good, the croisson bread was hard, inedible, I took a bite, that was enough for me, I think it's a shame

My wife will only hear from me that she should shop at Manor, please... I'm still single

We were very pleased with the large selection of fresh dishes. Ultimately we decided on bowl, raspberry fig and chestnut cake with orange juice, Rivelli and finally coffee. Everything was delicious! Employees are very nice. On the terrace you can enjoy the view over Basel. We'd love to come back.

Nice restaurant on the 5th floor of the Manor department store. Food is delicious. You can eat on 2 floors on the 6th floor in summer and there is also seating on the terrace. ☺️👍

Had a great turkey and orange salad It was nicely prepared and tasted good.

Wonderful restaurant. Totally worth. So much tasty food and not very expensive. At least you can take a piece of fish or meat and all additional salads will be free. Possible to spend only 15fr and be full. Also there's free water.

Great food. The selection is good. A little expensive but good accordingly. Great also the freshly made areas, like the the Poke Bowls. It even has a wine machine where you can "tap" wine from the bottle.

I always like to go to the Manora Restaurant because the food is always varied and inexpensive. I used to like to go to the Rhine Bridge with my mother, as it was called back then, it was a nice time that I will always remember becomes.

Super Restaurant, with a roof terrace, view of Basel from the heights. Friendly, smiling staff. The chocolate cake that I had was not very good, why, one star less for that. But I will return to enjoy this beautiful terrace.

There used to be crispy croissants, Weggli, which were a good size. 6 things for 6 francs, anything more is 1 SFr per item. more. Today there were shiny, shiny croissants, the Weggli have shrunk by half and if you take more than 6 things, you pay 1.20 SFr per item. more. One star is too much... First visit, first impression and last time when we come here. We encountered a very serious attitude problem. One women from the personal of the restaurant(Evalina we think) was very rude with our 8 years son. After my son tooked twoo glasses of juise, also one for his syster, she started to argue with him and told him he must payed if he wants extra juise. She has interrupt our meal for good. This behavior is not normal, professional and ethical in relation with a 8 years child. First of all, we didn't knew that for 2 children we can't have more than 2 glasses of juise. Anyway this lady should spoke with us first , as parents, not argue with a child. From that moment my boy was very imppressed and he couldn't eat anymore... same with all of us. We returned the third glass of juise anyway... because she insisted in a very inpolite way many times that we have to pay... 2.4Chf... For sure we will make a petition to the cantonal administration. I request officcially to this restaurant administration to take measures against this type of rude, inpolite, without good sense and poor behavior!

Great restaurant 🇨🇭 on the top floor of Manor. The very interesting children's menu, the very friendly staff and it's the first time in a restaurant in Basel that the staff is so friendly. They speak both German and French well.

I've always liked Manors, but this time it wasn't so great. That's why only 4 stars. The offering was no longer fresh, half a chicken looked dry and not really appetizing. Just like schnitzel. The Asian counter was completely closed even though there were advertising displays on the tables. Salad bar was good and plentiful, but if we hadn't hurried, everything would have been cleared away in front of us. What was really tasty were the sweet Italian specialties. Yummy! Overall OK.

Delicious food with a large selection at fair prices.

Fine food, great staff, play area, clean toilets, only access to the lift for mothers with strollers was very difficult due to the double doors. Otherwise highly recommended.

Really nice place actually. There is a wide variety of different world food, the ones I tried were good (and the burger shop Black Tap is amazing!). Since this is on the top floor you have tables with a view on the roofs of Klein Basel. There are also comfortable couches where you can chill while eating some cake or whatever suits your tastebuds.bthere also is a nice terrace when the weather permits. For a food court, this is a well deserved 5stars. Only downside is that there can be children screaming and running around.

Great place for lunch. I really love the fresh cooked pasta, but also the salads, pizza, fish and the best are for sure the desserts! :)

No way, low standard amongst Manora restautants.

Este café era bueno, limpio, luminoso y ofrecía un descanso de bienvenida después de caminar por Basilea. El servicio de mostrador y la limpieza automática funcionaron bien. El chocolate caliente era bueno y también disponible con leche de almendras o soja. Una bolsita de chocolate en polvo le permite mezclarlo usted mismo para obtener la fuerza que desea.

Die Schweiz ist teuer und Touristen müssen vorbereitet werden, aber Manora ist eine sehr gute Option für Lebensmittel zu erschwinglicheren Kosten. Ich fand das Essen von guter Qualität und schön präsentiert. Es ist Cafeteria-Stil, also erwarten Sie keinen Tischservice.

A great selection of food that won't break the bank. We had their salad buffet that had an excellent selection and sat on the terrace in the sunshine. There were different hot meals on offer that looked fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. We finished off with a slice of cake that was made on site and waddled off full, content and happy to have found such excellent food without having to take out a second mortgage.

The top floor Manora restaurant continues to be a reliable spot for brekky, lunch, dinner, and in-between snacks. The various cold, hot, salad, soup, dessert stations offers something for everyone and all are very reasonably priced. I came here for lunch at least twice during my stay in the city. The seating area is set over two floors and an additional rooftop seating on nice days.There is a free water station, free Wi-Fi, and clean restrooms.

Llegamos a Manora dos veces: una para el desayuno (6 artículos para 6 chf) y una para un desayuno.Almuerzo tarde / cena temprana.El menú del almuerzo es amplio y hay muchas cosas para elegir. Comí una sopa de verduras (genial), ravioli (buena) y la tarta de manzana que está en la foto (deliciosa) y gasté alrededor de 21 pies por día, lo que me pareció una ganga en comparación con los precios suizos.El restaurante está ubicado en el sexto piso de Manor.

Las opiniones son muy variadas, pero nosotros subimos a la sexta planta del centro comercial y vimos un pequeño bufet con varias opciones.En general para ser Basilea era bastante barato y de muy buena calidad. El plato grande de ensalada (de muchos tipos) y acompañamientos (patatas, col, lentejas, pure, etc) 12,50 euros cosa que está muy bien porque no se te limita la cantidad a poner en el plato. Del mismo modo la pasta vale 8,50 un plato enorme de pasta napoli (salsa de tomate de muy buena calidad casera), con salsa boloñesa sube el precio pero vale la pena. Además puedes comer carne hecha al momento (de los 9 a los 15 euros) más acompañamiento (3,50 euros más) pero lo mejor son la gran cantidad de tartas (de 3 a 4 euros) que hay. Además hay sopas y pizza. El agua te aconsejo que cojas un vaso y lo llenes fuera en la fuente. Los cafés ya si que tienen precios desorbitados (3,40 un café solo). Pese a todo esto, el sitio es agradable hay muchas mesas y buenas vistas desde arriba. Se respira tranquilidad y realmente se aprecia la calidad de la comida. Es lo que más valoro.

Endroit très sympathique mais très, très fréquenté, et pas que par des gens patients et polis! Large choix de plats. Mais attention! Composer son assiette par des ingrédients proposés sur différents ilots revient vite cher! En effet, ils ont indépendants les uns des autres. Pour le coup, le steak haché, même seul, est presque à 10€! Alors si vous ajoutez les pâtes situées sur le stand d'à côté, la note explose! heureusement, c'est bon!

ランチで利用しました。ビュッフェ形式にしては、他国より高いとは思いますが、好きなものを選べ、お皿の大きさにもよりますが、お皿に載る限りたくさんとっても料金は一緒です。グラタン、本日のサラダ、ミラノソースのマカロニパスタで、12フラン程度でした。屋内の席もありますが、天気がよければ屋上テラスのパラソルのある席で、街並みを見ながら食べるのも楽しいです。

Very good spot on at the top floor of the department store. All fresh fruits, salads and freshly prepared daily menus. It’s like a big self service buffet restaurant. The seating area are big and in different levels/corners. Such is even outside in the terrace with beautiful view!

Sono stata al Manora sabato 9 giugno 2018 , il ristorante self service si trova all'ultimo piano del centro commerciale, con la possibilità di pranzare nella terrazza panoramica….ottime torte , cibo buono con vasta scelta e cuochi che cucinano a vista …..prezzi " buoni " per essere a Basilea. Al sabato chiudono alle 18.00 e alla domenica è chiuso.

Die Lebensmittelabteilung im UG ist gross, nett anzusehen und hat eine grosse Auswahl. Der Fisch scheint mir nicht immer frisch zu sein.

Wow, wir haben einen Platz in Basel gefunden, der eigentlich ein vernünftiger Preis ist. Frühstücksbuffet 6 CH und erhalten Sie 6 Artikel und einen Kaffee.  Die Umgebung ist angenehm und es ist ein sehr schönes Ambiente.

Antes de tudo temos que ter a noção que a Suiça é um país muito caro.O shopping Manor tem um restaurante que fica no piso mais alto do edifício (tem uma vista excelente da cidade de Basileia e com pátio exterior).Restaurante "self-service" que tem vários tipos de comida, desde saladas, sopa, buffet, menus, tudo a um preço acessível.Comi uma sopa de espargos com camarões, lasanha de carne muito boa e um doce "cannoli ricota" (doce italiano).Escolha acertada para quem quer comer minimamente bem sem gastar muito dinheiro.

Es ist mir ein Anliegen, bei jedem Besuch in Basel im Restaurant Manora zu verweilen.Sobald Sie durch die Tür gehen, sehen Sie eine frische Auswahl an geschnittenen Früchten, Getränken und Desserts und ich könnte einfach nur von dieser Auswahl essen, aber ich muss weiter essen gehen. Nach dieser Auswahl ist es nun an der Zeit, einige der leckeren Desserts auszuwählen und diese Entscheidung ist am schwersten. Ich treffe meine Entscheidung, gehe zum Kassierer, um zu bezahlen. Ich ergreife eine Tasse Wasser am Trinkbrunnen und gehe dann nach oben, um mein Mittagessen und Ausblick von den Fenstern der umliegenden Dächer zu genießen.Der Ort verfügt über kostenloses WLAN, saubere Toiletten und eine entspannte Atmosphäre.

Aus Zeitgründen ging ich im Manora zum Mittagessen. Wählte Kalbsleber, welche am Selbstbedienungsbuffet vor meinen Augen frisch zubereitet wurde, Rösti, einen Menusalat und ein Getränk für 23 Franken. Es war wirklich eine Freude, die auf den Punkt gegarte Leber zu geniessen. Bei Verlassen des grossen und etwas lauten Lokals hatte sich beim Leberposten bereits eine lange Kolonne gebildet. Gerne wieder.

Frühstück: grosse Auswahl für nur 6.-. Öfter sind wir auch zum Mittagessen hier, grosse Auswahl , alles zum selber nehmen. Es wird frisch vor den Gästen gekocht. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist hier Top. Ich hatte den hausgeräuchten Lachs auf Kartoffelpürree, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Manora has very decent prices and delicious food, perfect for lunch and dinner. The food in the picture is about 25 CHF. You can find this restaurant in every major city ( Basel, Zurich, Luzern).

This Manora is located at Greifengasse and on the top floor of the Manor Department store. I do go to these types of department store dining restaurants often, but this Manora location could certainly convince me to change my ways.As soon as you walk in the place there is a large selection of freshly prepared desserts and pastries, a salad bar (prepared or buffet serving), snacks, meats/fish, pasta, soups, breads and so much more at the many cooking/prep stations.The food is fresh and impressively displayed around the room and you basically make your selections then head to the counter to pay. All the food articles are nicely displayed with prices, so there are no surprises when you pay for your selections at the counter. The portions of desserts, pastries, and pasta are very large and still inexpensive. I opted for the pasta Napoli (8.50CHF), which was a large serving with sauce and grated cheese and a slice of plum dessert (3.70CHF). The portion sizes were large and the food tasted very fresh. An exceptional deal for the quality of food and price! There are two large dining levels inside, and an outside terrace that is very nice on sunny days. The place offers free, secured Wi-Fi, and clean restrooms This visit was definitely an exceptional choice for lunch. Highly recommended!

Once in a while we have lunch at the Manor Restaurant on fifth floor. There you will be served freshly made food at different cooking islands and there's also a large salad buffet sometimes with salmon and tuna fish ... Personal is very friendly and helpful. There's also a dining room on sixth floor as well as a balcony overlooking the roofs of Basel... I can highly recommend going there even for coffee or tea various cakes available...

A moins de 30 € pour 2 et très bon avec des produits sains. C est vraiment la bonne solution dans cette ville où tout est hors de prix.

Das Buffet ist immer reichlich und preisgünstig. An Bewunderern mangelt es nicht, weil so manche hübsche Frauen nach dem Shopping dort sitzen. Neben mir war ein Gast beim Nagelkauen aufgefallen. Das Essen blieb bei mir! Ahoy!

Das Restaurant der Manor ist ein Ort, wo man eine wertvolle Mahlzeit bekommt, auch wenn man nicht viel Zeit hat. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und die Küche ist offen und sichtbar. Da man sich am Buffet selber aussucht, ist man frei, ob man Vegan, Vegetarisch, Frutarisch, Low-Carb, Paleo, Traditionell, Mediterran oder sonstwie speisen möchte. Neben einem Grillbuffet mit wechselnder Auswahl gibt es ein umfangreiches Gemüsebuffet, Rohkost- und Salatbuffet, Alforno, Pizza, Pasta, Suppen, Beilagesalate, Desserts, Glacé etc. Die Vielfalt besticht an diesem Ort. Die Funktion ist die Kantine, die Qualität eines guten Restaurants. Einziger Nachteil: Um die Mittagszeit gibt es eine Rush-Hour mit sehr vielen Leuten, da wird es manchmal eng.

Ich war mit Rollstuhl unterwegs. Meine Freundin und ich haben uns an einen Tisch gesetzt, der ab 18.00 Uhr reserviert war. Plötzlich kam eine Bedienung und meinte, es wäre jetzt schon eine Stunde früher reserviert. Damit wir trotzdem einen Platz hatten, hat der Angestellte schnell einen zusätzlichen Tisch für uns geholt. Super!!

Die Self Service Restaurant in der obersten Etage des Manor Einkaufszentrum bietet eine große Auswahl an warmen und kalten Gerichten zu guten Preisen. Der Außenpool mit Terrasse ermöglicht es Ihnen, genießen Sie die Aussicht auf die Stadt. Es kann recht voll werden aber um die Mittagszeit finden Sie immer einen Ort, um dort zu sitzen. Zu empfehlen, wenn Sie eine Suche nach einem unkompliziert hin, um die ist nicht verkaufen Fast Food. Kostenloser WiFi ist ebenfalls vorhanden.

Il est bien connu des touristes que se nourrir en Suisse est très cher... Les Manora sont une alternative relativement bon marché pour vous nourrir de bons produits frais rien à voir avec les classiques cantines de grands magasins :)Bon :)

Kann meine Portion selbst bestimmen.Saucen selbst auswählen, nach meinem Geschmack würzen.Fast wie zu Hause, nur ohne Abfall und daher auch günstiger !Die Köche und alle Helfer immer sehr freundlich, komme halt auch meist früh...über Mittag zu Stosszeiten ist das vielleicht nicht immer so.

Das Hotel und das Essen ist sehr gut in allen Aspekten, angenehm überraschend angesichts seiner Lage in einem Einkaufszentrum. Es ist auch sehr günstig für Schweizer! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Spesso quando sono a Basilea trovo che pranzare da Manora sia una ottima soluzione , in centro città, ti permette di non perdere tempo e continuare a fare le tue attività o spese prima e subito dopo il pranzo, ed il tutto in un ambiente assolutamente confortevole, una qualità del cibo sia a buffet che preparato all'istante più che soddisfacente , un servizio cordiale e sorridente.Il prezzo è "svizzero" ma comunque accettabile viste le diverse possibili scelte che ti vengono presentate.Tenetelo presente durante le vostre visite in questa città svizzera caratteristica e piena di musei !

le centre de Bâle est un haut-lieu pour le shopping et pour rester dans l'ambiance rien de mieux que de faire un arrêt culinaire dans un des grands magasins de la city. Le Manora au dernier étage du Manor Bâle est là pour régaler petites et grandes faims. Tout est frais, tout est préparé devant vous, le choix est grand et les prix sont très abordables, le tout en libre service. Donc le bon endroit pour se restaurer avant, pendant ou après votre shopping.

Man muss hier sehen - es ist ein Restaurant in einem Warenhaus, Selbstbedienung.Daher nur 4 Sterne.Aber alles ist frisch, die Köche und Kassierer/Abräumer sehr freundlich und informiert.Das Essen ist lecker und auch wenn man jeden Tag hier essen würde, Abwechslung ist geboten. Sehr zu empfehlen!

War schon öfters für das morgenessen oder ein mittagessen dort. Man hat eine grosse auswahl und kann sich die menüs selber zusammenstellen. Die speisen sind frisch und sehen apetitlich aus. Das meiste kann man sich selbst schöfen. Giebt drei verschiedene tellergrössenwelche man bezahlt.

Die Lage war sehr gut. vergleichen Sie mit Ihren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ;) Gut verschiedene Speisen. In der Mittagspause ist sehr viel los. Sie haben einen kleinen Spielplatz für Kinder.

Die Manora-Restaurants bieten eine grosse Vielfalt an Gerichten aller Art. Alles wird gleich vor den Augen der Kunden frisch zubereitet und schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Preis-Leistung stimmt auf jeden Fall!

...das Personal wirkt meist gehetzt und manchmal unaufmerksam, aber es hat ja besonders über Mittag zu tun mit den vielen Gästen. Die grosse Auswahl macht die Selbstbedienung zu einer Freude und ich gehe gern auf die grosse Dachterrasse, wo eine interessante und charmante Aussicht auf die Stadt wohltuend wirkt.

Servono un grandissimo buffet, che varia da insalate e zuppe del giorno, piatti caldi squisiti e centrifughe di frutta freschissime. Il tutto spendendo pochi Franchi svizzeri e se è bel tempo puoi pranzare nella loro bella terrazza e goderti la città di Basilea.

Manora bereitet alle Ihre Mahlzeiten vor dem Kunden zu; frischer geht es nicht. Die Auswahl an Speisen lässt keine Wünsche offen, Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert, wird alles angeboten, was das Herz begehrt. Für kleine Budgets wird hier wirklich viel geboten. Einzig die Frischluftzufhur wäre noch stark verbesserungsfähig. Die Dachterasse bietet eine attraktive Aussicht auf die Stadt Basel.

Nach MANORA-Besuchen im Wallis,Berner Oberland und Fribourg ( ? zu lang her) kann ich auch das Schnellrestaurant dieser Kette in Kleinbasel empfehlen. Ein weiteres (allerdings weniger heimelig im Untergeschoss im " St.Jakobspark ") hat weniger Auswahl als das hier bewertete.

Das Manora ist im oberen Stock des gleichnamigen Warenhauses. Grosse Terrasse mit fantastischer Aussicht über die Stadt Basel. Das Frühstück ist grossartig und kostet nur 6.- Grosses Salatbuffet , Anti pasti Auswahl und Fisch- Grill Artikel. Wurde im 2015 umgebaut. Immer ein Besuch wert.
