Super nice place and very well located. Very accessible and great atmosphere. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is really good. Fondue is worth trying!

Came as a couple or as a group of friends, in both cases the welcome was great and the atmosphere was great. The staff is pleasant and super attentive to their customers. We even had the privilege of meeting the owner of the place and once again surprised us in a more than good way. Thank you to all the team, I highly recommend it! I would even say a sure value in Montreux, you can go there with your eyes closed!

Everything went fairly well except when leaving when a gentleman approached us asking us to pay even though payment had already been made to his colleague. We really did not appreciate this tactless approach and were very disappointed.

It’s a sports bar. Had fondue which was good but plain. Couldn’t see many options on menu and was offered nothing else after the fondue so left a bit hungry. Many choices for drinks though and staff was kind. Right on the lakefront.

Great place for fondue! Great moitiene-moitiene fondue still available for 24 CHF . Other options are walisian fondue at 28 CHF and with truffles at 32 CHF.

It was friday.. We wanted to introduce swiss fondue to our friends who came for honeymoon... they have only one option, which is moitie-motie.. Ambience and service was good..situated on the main road. but the fondue was super alcoholic and the consistency was not good.. only bread was served..no boiled potatoes were available in kitchen.. overall its 3/5

Decided to watch football at this place. TV’s are small and display quality like from 1980’s. Service is poor, waiters ignore you hand rising and even when you come to bar yourself, they can smile but still mind their own business. Food/drinks are nothing special.

A very nice place to eat. We ordered tomato fondue for two with potatoes and it was delicious. Very nice staff and the price (compared to what we saw around) was quite affordable. If one day we return to Montreux, we will definitely repeat.

45 minutes of waiting for a fondue, the bread was not served with it, we had to drink the tea which was basically hot, cold. The waitress was extremely incompetent and very unpleasant. For a fondue at the Christmas market it’s great!

The bar is nice, but the services and products offered are less and less good. For hookahs, you have increased the price but reduced the quality of the product. Each time I have to remove the molasses which sticks to the stove (caloud). If I don't do this the hookah becomes intractable. In short, it was my favorite bar for a long time but that's no longer the case...

I say we haven't chosen yet but since I have the card open, the waiter stays near me until I choose. The table is shaky, we ask for a solution and we are told “that’s how it is, sorry, there is no solution”. I took 2 towels and had to fix the situation myself. Because of this table, a beer fell. I gave a 5.- coin to make another beer, they never gave me change (50ct) In short, there are other places in Montreux to have a good time.

During our short vacation in Montreux we were looking for a gin bar, the recommended one from Google was the Mayfoir House. We went there and found out it was an amazing Shisha Bar plus good Gin Tonic AND AMAZING service from ALVARO (the waiter)

To avoid ! We arrived at 10 p.m., we were served at 10:35 p.m. The order was wrong so the waitress sighed and left but hey... At 11:20 p.m. we asked to take another round, she told us to wait but she still took the order from a table next to us which arrived After. Around 11:30 p.m. she finally came to take our order and the order from the table behind, then after 25 minutes of waiting, she served the table behind us who had taken the order at the same time as us then came to tell us that she was not serving more then she leaves and avoids us. We decide to go inside and ask to be served and we are told: ah but it's not me who took the order, I can't do anything. Unfortunately, whether it was the waiters or the boss, everyone avoided us... Given the comments the boss made, don't expect compassion! Moral of the story, if you want a drink and you arrive around 11 p.m. don't expect to receive an order.

The “Mayf” is an institution in Montreux. It used to be a tea room in the 70’s, same in the 80’s, became the place to be in the 90’s where all the teenagers would go for a night out and witness the birth of the House Music movement, kept on rocking in the 00’s where the next generation of teenagers would spend their weekday nights chillin’ with friends, their weekend nights dancing/drinking and their Sunday night playing the famous quiz, transformed itself in the 10’s in a more spacious bar with a New York chill atmosphere where you can enjoy a few drinks with a Chicha while watching a football game and will surely keep on going in the 20’s with the same success. They have a restaurant on the second floor serving good daily specials, one of the nicest terrace right on the lake in summer time and a Chalet, also right on the lake during the winter season to enjoy a great fondue. Montreux’s history right there!

Shisha really sucks!! I took 2 shisha... one of which, the coal was barely lit. I could take it in my hand. I called the server several times with their machine. He came 30 minutes later! I asked for a refund for the one I couldn't smoke because I had to leave. The waiter replied to me like in kindergarten, "It wasn't me who did it... it was the other waiter... I can't do anything." Not a word of apology! However, we were 14 friends at a time. They could have made an effort. The first 30 minutes we were trying to start the shisha, the other 30 minutes we had to wait for the waiter to arrive. The refused refund is not a problem for me, but the way your employee responded, I couldn't accept it. I certainly come here with my people and can rely on impeccable service. I think my colleague and I have already ordered up and down the entire menu. The food was served very quickly. The table decorations on the tables and throughout the restaurant are appropriate and aesthetic. The toilets are always clean and overall the place gives a harmonious impression.
