Millennium in Zürich

As the name suggests, the restaurant has been around for what feels like forever. First the negative: The interior looks like the cheapest from the 70s (and it is). It's not particularly comfortable. Since I have lived about 3 minutes from here for 38 years, I know the staff and the food relatively well. The kebabs are OK, if you eat them at all. The kebab meat is as bad as anywhere, but sometimes it's not even grilled. It then tastes like failed meatloaf. The chef doesn't even know how to prepare a carbonara (it has to be said that the menu, i.e. the pictures that show around 100 dishes (mostly Italian), portrays it correctly). But he simply cooks two fried eggs and two Strips of bacon in the pan and then on the pasta). OK. I really like it that way too. But if you ask for bacon and eggs, they say we don't have that. And I know the “3 brothers” and they know me. Sad. But it gets worse: I saw a finished salad that looked like a Greek salad. I asked one of the bosses if that was it and he said yes. It turned out that the white cheese is the cheap white cheese from Turkey and not feta. When confronted, the guy said no several times and then didn't look me in the eyes for weeks. That's very sad. The pizza is just horrible. (Considering the 20 pizzerias in the area). The meat is boring to bad (no beef, no pork, the veal is bad). But now quickly to the positive. The location is great. If you can sit outside at Limmatplatz in summer and sip a few beers, great. The prices are cheap. You can order anything all day long. The pasta is pretty good (available with 4 different sauces). Turkish specialties that I don't know. Service fast! And there are Tagi and NZZ! It has no hipsters. You somehow feel like you did 20-30 years ago in District 5, simple and multicultural. There's even bratwurst, but not the best. (I don't know how far they're going with the pork boycott here). I'm only saying that because, as far as I know, there aren't even any sausages left in District 5, see Josefswiese. You actually have a large selection at Limmatplatz, but in terms of time and culinary diversification (e.g. there are no Asians or Greeks or Swiss) it could be larger (also applies to Josefstrasse etc. I deliberately forgot Migros) For me, the main advantage is the consistency and availability of all dishes throughout the day at fair prices.

Pide 10 out of 10 + staff very friendly. Cevapcici, however, not so good. Therefore only 4 stars

No more quality!! Last Friday we were in this kebab house with 3 colleagues at around 1:00 a.m.! Unfortunately the meat wasn't fried properly and the next day I had a stomach ache and two other cases of diarrhea. I think the boss thought we were drunk so he made a kebab like that!! I just think it's a shame

The man at the checkout was very nervous and rude and unkempt. The food was ok but I'll never have such a disgusting boss again.

Found 1 hair in my Spaghetti Millennium. They don't pick up the phone. I want my money back. I didn't order spaghetti with hair.

Huge selection, fast, friendly and perfect if you want to eat well and inexpensively with little time.

Cool spot, reasonably priced,good portions, and they have free wifi.. when you are a traveling abroad, wifi will help you so much to get by and get threw to your next destination.. not having wifi in 2024 at your establishment is a no no..!!

Delicious food and nice service!

A wonderful spot for something delicious in between or for a cozy dinner when your wallet isn't looking so rosy. The staff will be happy to help you with your order. And for me the highlight is still: the food is brought fresh to your table. Clean, good food quality and a large menu. I recommend Millennium as it is open 24 hours on the weekend.

used to be one of the better kebabs in zurich but doesnt taste the same as 10y ago. nonetheless if youre looking for a kebab id still recommend this place

Price performance is getting worse and worse. Actually, the whole thing has been around for a very long time. Currently you are asked with everything (both sauces, tomatoes, onions, lettuce&&&? You can't see how it is prepared. There were no tomatoes, lettuce was extremely light. All I can say is Ararat is something completely different, but unfortunately not on the way home

Eating catastrophe, the meat is catastrophic and I'm there twice today and wanted to give it a chance, but he gets diarrhea, catastrophe, the meat is so abnormal and looks bad, never again

Great chicken doner. The bread puts it above all others. Expensive for what it is, but it is Zurich so it is what it is.

The meals are very delicious and satisfying. It is also affordable in price. Even if you don't pass by, it's worth stopping by.

Food is good, prices are fair in in general. Had an incident where I ordered 9 chicken nuggets take away, but only received 7, once I checked and was on public transport. So yeah... Check what you receive.

Maybe it was because it was late at night (around 2 o'clock), but the Dürum kebab was just pretty bad. It was prepared in the back of the kitchen with no request for sauce or salad options.

How can it be that this place has this many stars. It happened to be that I had a few times Kebab and the meat wasn't fresh or hot. Apart from that the Dönerbox was always full of fries on the ground and on the top with the more expensive meat. The price is also ridiculous. Just never again... Better go to Ararat or Memo Bar (best Kebab in town, promise)

I had a doner kebab pizza and it was easily one of the best things I ate in Switzerland. A country full of excellent one off restaurants!

Their dishes are super fast and exquisite, without failing to comment that they have excellent service, I loved their pasta and they have a wide variety of dish options, I recommend them, the owner speaks Spanish and his staff, despite speaking German They make every effort to serve and make themselves understood by their Spanish-speaking diners... congratulations for their efforts.

First I would like to address the "Bro". I walked into the lounge and was immediately greeted with “brother”. Such rudeness from a new customer is not very good. In addition, the kebab was terrible. I come from a small village in Germany, even there the kebab is better than in the big city of Zurich... Embarrassing

Top! We went here for the first time for lunch. Were served very quickly and friendly. There is a takeaway at Limmatplatz where you can also eat and drink on site. There is a very large selection and there is definitely something for every taste and budget. I had a "Pide", very tasty! The place is excellent, it has great prices and the staff's attention is wonderful. In fact, I write this review in Spanish because the guy who helped us even spoke Spanish. Nothing more than adding an excellent, good, pretty and cheap b3 option if you go to Zurich

Today Friday to Saturday (6:00 a.m.) it was open all day, but it was closed. Don't trust them!!!

This place is a great fallback for breakfast through dinner. The food is decent, healthy, and they are open from 7:30 am to 12:30 am, basically a lifesaver!

+ Good assortment of food + Most food is decent and somewhat freshly prepared + Good seating options + Is open nearly all the time + Friendly customer service - Too high prices, 5 years ago was okayish but they have increased since then - an example: Cola 0.5l = 4.50 CHF, meanwhile at the Denner next door 2l = 2 CHF! - Me and my friends didn't feel good after spaghetti carbonara - though we have tried many foods here, this was the only time that we had trouble - We suspect most of the food is at least partially pre prepared (bought from food industry) - And as soon as you know that, you notice that some of the food is not tasting good. But i.e. Döner & Dürüm are really good, because they are prepared freshly.

Fast food, large selection of pizzas, pasta dishes and kebabs. The pizzas are tasty and a good size. The staff is friendly. Prices are correct. Please note that the tables are carefully cleaned after each customer.

I'm very rarely in this part of town but when I do I always like to go to the Millenium, the friendliness of all the staff, the toilet is clean and has all the disinfecting measures and of course the homemade apricot tart is a real treat with a really nice coffee... ..👍👍👍
