Service leaves a lot to be desired. Very inattentive, bored, can't get a clean word out of his mouth. The hygiene also leaves something to be desired. While serving ramen, the young gentleman grabbed the guest's meat. Thumbprint was visible for a long time. Glasses are grabbed by the drinking rim and placed in front of the guest. Food was so-so, you could note that the portions were large, there was food waste and so on... The menu on the smartphone also leaves something to be desired. If you want to take a closer look at a dish and then more, you always go to the home page. Maybe I expected too much, but make up your own mind.

Was thrilled from the start, unfortunately after a while there were changes to the menu. Still very tasty, you just have to leave out certain things if you don't like something

We just tried shoyu ramen and were a bit disappointed. It does not taste like a ramen, broth was salty with no real taste, soy egg was not marinated enough but at least perfectly cooked, noodles were good - it was also lacking typical ramen ingredients (no spring onions or sea weed) - pork slices were really thick and tasty - the main disappointment is the broth and the small portion.

Good ramen place in town. Always packed so make sure to make reservations ahead of the time. The ramen can be a little bit salty but the port is delicious.

The meat and the other things in the ramen is perfect, but the noodle of the ramen is a bit too overcooked, the noodle was too soft and not the perfect taste of ramen noodle. But not speaking of the noodle, other things are perfect.

My first visit to MIRAI RamenClub. The staff was super attentive and friendly and the food was extremely tasty! The ambience with the open kitchen is very appealing, but the smell can easily get stuck in your clothes.

The service person with the pink hair was very friendly and helped us a lot with the choice of food, as it was difficult for us to decide. We would love to come back, especially because of the great service!

Delicious food but you definitely have to make a reservation. What was a bit of a shame was that you can only reserve one time slot and then you're actually asked to leave. Unfortunately, we only had enough for one round of orders. But definitely recommended

We were not warned when we made the reservation that our table would be given away a second time. We were still at the main course when we were told that we still had 15 minutes. The staff said goodbye to us in a very unfriendly manner and gossiped behind our backs. Sad and unpleasant experience.

Disappointing food. Mushrooms used are of the cheapest kind bottom mushrooms instead of Japanese. Broth tasteless etc. Much too expensive for what it is - you can get much better in Basel for less

the vegetarian tantanmen was delicious and i highly recommend the homemade iced tea (everyone in the restaurant was drinking it)

Actually the ambience is more than 3 stars and you are warned when making your reservation that you might be seated at the bar. Unfortunately, we didn't know beforehand how uncomfortable this would be... Why are the chairs screwed to the floor? This is terribly inconvenient! And there is a strong draft, especially since the entrance area is so narrow that the door is left open all the time. Food was great as always. Service slow but nice!

I've never eaten so badly. Zero taste. We had a bowl with salmon. Unfortunately the food was very bland. Sorry but that was nothing. Afterwards we had to go to the Italian restaurant 🫣

One of the top best Japanese ramen house in Basel Switzerland...The soup base ramen here are more Japanese than the popular authentic Japanese-Chinese soup base which is more popular in Japan, Taiwan and HK. Noodles, charsiou, eggs and other ingredients are authentic. The interior is well designed and service is excellent.

Went there on Friday evening and were understandably very busy, but we had 3 different ramens, the best of which was mediocre at best. However, the vegetarian miso ramen was absolutely inedible, totally tasteless and really disappointing (I've had a lot of very good vegetarian ramen in my life). The attempt to improve this with soy sauce was initially forgotten by the waiter and remained fruitless afterwards. The waitress didn't take the comment very seriously (if you notice it while eating, you could "add more seasoning") and the only compensation offered was coffee or dessert, which of course we didn't want after such a bad meal. For 26-28 francs you would really expect more in terms of service and quality. We're never coming back

I tried miso ramen, and although it didn't taste the way I know it, it was delicious. They gave me a reasonable amount.

Great restaurant in Basel. The food is worth your money. Tasty, different, well prepared, delicious! Would definitely recommend. We were two and had a couple of entres and two ramen bowls. Splendid. One of our top picks in the city.

Shortly before 12:00 p.m., showed up alone without a reservation. Packed full, got the last seat at the counter. Received quickly, ordered 1x shoyu ramen, ate excellently and paid in less than 30 minutes. Compliment, this is high-quality fast food, just like I want it to be. Busy work with a sure hand, the team knows what they are doing. would love to come back.

I have been to Mirai several times now and can say that the food, no matter what, was ALWAYS excellent. The service depends on who serves you - there are several very friendly waiters/waitresses but as well 1-2 who should undergo training on how to be “friendly” to guests. That is a basic attitude for me, which I partly missed. The atmosphere is clearly too busy in the meantime after the opening. Too many tables in a row and you basically have very little space. Leaving or approaching especially the smaller tables is hardly possible without accidentally touching someone from the neighbour table. Compared to Japan, where you have even smaller restaurants that serve similar food, this would NEVER happen as the table arrangements would have been optimised for individual space and approachability. Also the ventilation of the restaurant could be improved. I guess a removal of a few tables would help to get the restaurant more comfortable. Overall, the Mirai food is largely authentic, but the atmosphere has room for improvement in order to comply with a truly Japanese style.

The food was very tasty and good portions. The prices are rather high and what I find very annoying is that you have to vacate the place after 1.5 hours for new guests. This has nothing to do with coziness, but simply a food check-out, which I think is a shame because the food is really delicious. On the one hand, the staff seemed to be trying hard, but also somehow bored.

The best part of our dinner were definitely the noodles in the ramen. The bread from the bao buns was oddly hard and the filling was over sauced. The fried eggplant was drenched in some premade sweet sauce too.

I'm a huge ramen fan, but this ramen was really bad. Broth way too light and salty and the noodles sticky and not very tasty. Much overpriced for that. For 30 francs you can expect good food... not very authentically Japanese.

Was a little disappointed with my ramen. It was bland, looked too “creamy” and I was disappointed, even though I was looking forward to it for two weeks.

The Ramen is good gerneral. However, the service should be improved as a waitress told us to give the table away for the next reservation with a push and aggressive attitude.

Honestly, this was the first time our order was forgotten. We usually go there on our lunch break with my wife. We were really looking forward to eating ramen for lunch yesterday. But either because we complained about the wrong water being served instead of still water, or for some other reason, we waited 45 minutes in vain. After lunch we had an important meeting. So we finally asked for the bill and were told that we would be going to the meeting without food. Luckily we at least had our drinks. Don't get me wrong! The food is fantastic!!! Really great chefs. Only the service sometimes lags behind...

Although the restaurant - vs. Otherwise - only moderately busy, there were very long waiting times for starters and main courses. The existing parasols could have been aligned better.

Unfortunately, the food and service did not meet my expectations. The Japanese pancake was really sticky and heavy. I asked for a knife to cut it, but I didn't get it. The best part of the visit was the Mirai Aka drink.

Service was excellent, but the ramen was too salty. Maybe the Shoyu Tare was too strong, or too much of it? The chashu was very tasty. All in all a very good choice!

The choice of dishes has decreased since our previous visit (in 2022). For example no more ribs. Now the dishes are basic but expensive

A Swiss friend highly recommended it, so I visited with three Swiss friends and two Asian friends. I ordered vegetarian shoyu ramen and it tasted clean because it had mushrooms instead of meat. It's not that it doesn't taste bad, but... well... ^^ Among the places I've tried Asian food in Switzerland, there were many places that failed, so compared to those places, it's a pass, but it's a bit disappointing~ But the atmosphere was good, and the staff was very friendly, so it was nice. . I think I'll go again if someone asks me to go, but I don't think I'll ask to go first. If I go again, I want to try other foods besides ramen. The friends I went with all seemed satisfied except for one friend who was trying ramen for the first time, so they finished their meal in a good mood.

Service was good and relatively quick. The food was good and the price/performance ratio was right for the city center. The ambience is nice and dark, but the two tables are rather cramped. Privacy is a bit difficult with the limited space. But otherwise definitely recommended and would happily come back.

Long wait & nothing special about the food.

The food was great. Unfortunately the service was very poor. 2 wrong dishes were served even though we were only 3 guests and we waited over 1 hour for the Raman soup. Then the bill was wrong and we had to discuss it. We had to leave at 8 p.m. because the table was booked again. We were served unfriendly.

Short and sweet (best first) - The service was friendly and accommodating. There was definitely a star for that! - The ambience is convincing. That was also the main reason why we chose the restaurant. - Visually (see picture) the food is a real eye-catcher. Really nice. Now to the negative points, which unfortunately only resulted in 2-3 stars for me. - my frame was maximally tasteless. I was shocked how something so beautiful could have so little taste. My companion confirmed this. A pity! - the okonomiyaki was definitely not like Asian cuisine. There was so much wrong with it that it would go beyond the scope here (this supposed beetroot/sauce alone was a red flag for the eye). The mayonnaise didn't taste "fresh" either. Bottom line: "If you want to go there for the ambience and good service, you can't go wrong here. Unfortunately, in terms of taste, 0 stars from me."

Hey , the best ramen I ve tasted in Zürich and Basel : Rich broth, perfectly boiled egg, nicely cooked noodle.!!! Service is just lovely! Forgot my stuff after payment, lady ran cross a street to catch up and give to me.

The bao bun special with loaded fries is very good. The tantanmen ramen were really good. Good cocktails🥂 The servers are really friendly! but it took a while to get our food. The outdoor seating area is nice but keep in mind that it’s just next to a street. I will go again for more ramen:)

This Japanese restaurant specializes in ramen (noodle soup). The meal was excellent. You can watch the chef preparing food, the atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly. The menu isn't very extensive but everything was fresh and good.

I ate here for the first time shortly after the restaurant opened and was very impressed. Everything was very finely and elegantly prepared - typically Japanese - and also tasted very original. Yesterday I had the impression that the initial quality was unfortunately no longer the same.

The taste of the food isn't bad but what they offer doesn't have anything to do with Japanese food at all. The waitresses were incompetent and inefficient. Edamame with olive oil... really?

After we ate there in the evening, my friend had to sit on the toilet all night and vomited. In the morning it was my turn. Since we hadn't eaten anything else that day apart from breakfast and a roll, we could say with 100% that it came from here, a very bad experience and we wouldn't do it again. It disappointed us whole evening and deprived of sleep.

The food was delicious, albeit expensive (but I think that's a problem you will find everywhere in Switzerland). To give you an idea, 2 drinks + a starter + 2 ramen bowls were 70 CHF. The quantity of the starter and ramen bowls was very generous and the taste was incredible, so I think it was worth it. I take one star off because the staff urged us to pay and leave, something that had not happened to me before elsewhere.

Ramen was alright, not much flavors and i’ve tasted better in the past. Don’t get the ginger lemon tea, 6 francs for 2 tiny pieces of ginger in the tea that you can barely taste. Way too expensive. Don’t recommend
