Went spontaneously to the Mürset restaurant yesterday and at first just wanted to have a drink. But then we ordered soup and focaccia. Both were good and the service was also very friendly and attentive. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

Excellent restaurant experience I recently visited the Mürset restaurant with a friend. The quality of the food was outstanding, every dish was a delight. The stylish ambience and attentive service also contributed to an all-round successful evening. There is also a very distinctive wine list, which would go perfectly with the exquisite dishes. Fully recommended for connoisseurs!

I had an appointment at the Hirslanden clinic over lunch. My wife and brother-in-law drove me there for treatment. You spent the waiting time in Mürset. As soon as they arrived they said they weren't going to eat. After they picked me up again, they were full of praise and enthusiastic about the service. Many thanks to the service staff. We will be back.

Great improvement in the brasserie (it has several catering concepts...it's best to look on the website). Gone are the days of boring pasta lunch menus. Refined and reasonably priced offers. For the first time in over 20 years as a guest, 5 stars. The new assistant and her team have also made significant improvements again. Bravo!

We were a party of approximately 20 people and all had the same menu (funeral feast). The meat was almost raw and very tough. We asked for steak knives to better be able to cut it, but it was still hardly edible. Service was very good.

I would like to share my impressions with you: This evening we were spontaneously able to enjoy a great evening at Mürset. There was fine quiche, a delicious beef tartare with cognac, a casse croute (platter with various delicacies). Accompanied by a great Bordeaux 2016. The service team is very friendly and charming. Dear Murset team, valued kitchen team When classic French cuisine meets modernity in an appropriate Basserie ambience, you find yourself in Murset. The escargots de Bourgone, the homemade cheesecake and the moules were from another planet! The exquisite wine list and the extremely friendly service from Hungary make the positive impression perfect. Congratulations!

Although we have been living in Aarau for 8 months, unfortunately we only discovered this restaurant yesterday. I lived in France for 2 years and here you really feel like you are spending an evening in Nice. The food and ambience are fantastic. Only the service is clearly better than in France 😉 We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Let's start with the wine list: clearly the No. 1 Bordeaux wine in the Aarau area and great vintages. The menu ranges from typical Swiss cuisine to French specialties. The Mürset team is professional and always in a good mood and friendly. I always feel warmly welcome. What I also really like are the numerous parking spaces in front of or around Mürset. The meat was good, but the side dishes are a no go to the chataue-brian. Normal as shown on the menu, that wasn't the case. I can't recommend eating out over the holidays 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♀️

The Mürset restaurant convinced us for lunch on December 18, 2023. There were three of us and we chose the venison schnitzel twice. The dish was not only very tasty, but also perfectly fried - exactly medium, as we ordered. A special highlight was that we were served free rolls with pumpkin butter at the beginning of the meal and even a coconut curd cake at the end of the meal. This really made the visit to the Mürset restaurant a special experience. The waiter was extremely attentive and polite. He always made sure that we didn't lack anything and also gave us good recommendations for wines to go with the meal. The interior of the restaurant was very comfortable. You immediately felt comfortable and could enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. However, we would have liked a little more Christmas decorations at this festive time. This could have made the stay a little more atmospheric. But even without these additional Christmas decorations, it was a nice stay in the Mürset restaurant. All in all, we were completely satisfied with our lunch at Restaurant Mürset. The food was excellent, the service was top and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will certainly come back and can only warmly recommend the restaurant.

Yesterday we had our Christmas business lunch at Mürset. I was really looking forward to the evening, but was disappointed by the food. I expected something different from hearing this. No salt, neither on the vegetables nor on the pasta. The noodles were overcooked. And there was a lot of fat on the meat. When we said this to the gentleman from the service at the table, he replied that everything was organic....🤷‍♀️ The start with an aperitif outside had started so nicely...The starter was good. The soup was ok. I also thought it was a shame that the soup cup was served without a saucer. The espresso was cold because it was served in a large cup. I know these are small things. But they shouldn't be there with around 90 invited guests.

In my opinion, the customer is not the focus! We wanted to order pickup because we couldn't come because of a sick child. We made compromises on the menu, but were told that you couldn't order for pick-up at all. It was possible about a year ago. Very disappointing!

Just amazing! The food, the atmosphere, the service! We have been served twice by a blonde woman, she is one of the best waitresses I've ever met, she made our experience in the restaurant even better.

We went to the brasserie for dinner. Pleasant atmosphere, service was friendly and competent. The food, however, disappointed me - the menu promised more than what was delivered. *The soup had too much salt (just about ready to give it back for me) * The main course (lentils) was bland and uninspired, so seasoning didn't help either. A pity; I went there for lunch a few years ago and thought it was very good. But this time the price-performance ratio wasn't right.

We went to the wine bar for dinner on a Saturday evening. The service was excellent, very accommodating and unobtrusive/unobtrusive. The food (veal cheek, prawns and seasonal dessert) was also very good. Only the fish soup wasn't entirely convincing due to the quantity. But the service, which can be highlighted as positive, makes up for everything else. Thank you!

For the celebration of the day in Mürset It was my first time at Mürset and I will definitely come back! The ambience in the wine bar was FANTASTIC, the food was simply delicious. Good portions, great quality! The service was very friendly and so attentive that I even received a surprise dessert with congratulations at the end. Thank you Team Mürset for the evening!

I have never been to such a hospitable restaurant. The waiters are all very helpful. Our waiter was called Jan and served us so well and gave us very good advice on our choice of food/wine. I can only recommend it to everyone!! Saturday evening candle light dinner is a perfect date. 🕯️🍷🍴

I did enjoy my time over there with my friends, we did enjoy the meals and the service. Waiting time was near to null, the service was good, the meals were good, the service also.

The quality and versatility was much, much better before Corona. We will stop elsewhere in the future!

After speaking negatively about the knowledge and treatment of regular guests here over a month ago, I was very pleased that the management contacted me personally by telephone and apologized. This prompted us to visit the Mürset again yesterday. This time with a reservation to be on the safe side ;-). The manager greeted us personally and the service with a familiar face was, as always, very warm. You can never complain about the quality and selection of food at Mürset. Many thanks again to Andi Weideli and Laura Valli and the whole Mürset team - of course also for the aperitif. Of course, I hope for future flexibility (whenever possible), especially in the brasserie, during spontaneous visits. In the past, this was an enormous plus for us from Mürset - when we were able to say spontaneously and at short notice on a Friday (sometimes Saturday): "Let's go and eat something small and good at Mürset." and we were almost always sure that we would get a table for two.

We enjoyed visiting Mürset often, but after this visit there will be no more. The service was friendly but tried hard and after the fifth faux pas we eventually just took it with humor. The menu has hardly changed over the years and, in our opinion, has worsened due to the lack of variety and selection. There was also a nasty surprise when it came to payment: the fact that the prices for the dishes have gone up is not surprising in these times. However, after the many previous disagreements, we found that we should also pay an energy surcharge of a further five percent as the crowning achievement of a wrong decision. We will no longer go to Mürset, which we supported by picking up the dishes during Corona times.

I am always amazed at how Mürset manages to convey something special. The kitchen (experienced management) shines with delicious, unusual dishes, the humorous service (professional) sweetens the special evening, as do the desserts at the end. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant if something special is coming up. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests again.

The staff there didn't really give you a friendly welcome. In my opinion, GDR service was “enough”. Every 10 seconds it felt like we were asked if everything was “good”. In addition, the service seemed very, very intrusive. You hardly had the peace to have any conversations with the person accompanying you. Sometimes you didn't even know what you had to offer on the menu and had to look again. I thought the food was good and the price was affordable. The location seemed very rustic, spacious and you felt comfortable. Conclusion: I would still recommend this restaurant because the quality of the food was good and the dishes were appropriate for the season. BUT: The service should certainly be more serious, more attentive and friendly!! Because you have an enormous influence on whether the guest feels comfortable - has a positive experience and has an unforgettable evening.

Incredible 20.- for a portion of plum cake - written large on the board with CHF 12.-, apparently asked when ordering (after a very long wait) whether with a scoop of ice cream and cream (no mention of that on the board), hence the 20.- would be appropriate. Price and performance are disproportionate.

A week ago we dined for the first time in the Brasserie Mürset in Aarau and were in the secluded garden. We have never eaten so well and deliciously in years. The meat was cooked perfectly, the salad was absolutely fresh, even the caramel head was freshly prepared and the coffee was excellent. Not to mention the service: a trainee served us very perfectly. For us, the Mürset is the best address in Aarau. We would like to come again.

We knew Mürset differently! Lovelessly a handful of rocket without any tomatoes or decoration for Fr. 11.-. We had to wait almost an hour for 3 tartars (the service staff were made aware of this twice), or at first only 2 came, one of which was bland (although ordered medium hot) and "warm". Was whs. been ready for a long time. Very different from the other two. A large mountain of toast was served all at once, which quickly got cold. Service mediocre friendly and not very attentive. A pity!

The first time in Mürset and you want to go back and get out! Very, very unfriendly service, something was forgotten and when it was brought to her attention she immediately became snippy and looked at us with a grim face! Absolutely unprofessional!! It doesn't work at all!! All I can say is that it's a huge mess. Never experienced anything like this! Mürset once had a good name, but it is definitely not the case anymore and will never be the same as long as you have such disastrous staff. But luckily there are great restaurants in the area where you are warmly welcomed and deserve to be supported!

Very unfriendly staff. If you click on the missing drink etc. If you draw attention you will be shouted at. Hygiene is not necessarily maintained; hands are not washed after sneezing/coughing.

The restaurant is nice and the food is delicious. However, the service staff was cheeky and arrogant, she forgot the water twice and when I pointed it out to her, she sent an unmotivated look at our table, then we heard at the bar: what's the problem... in one tone the impossibility, if at least it was said in good German. I have never experienced anything so outrageous and the restaurant should be a little better than the others but then the service should also be good. I will not tolerate this behavior and unfortunately I will not recommend the restaurant to others.

What a wonderful place The place is beautiful inside and the terrace has a great welcoming and peaceful charm. The service is extremely friendly and attentive and handles special requests with great friendliness and professionalism. The cuisine is worth the trip with these three offers (Gastronomic Restaurant, Brasserie, Weistube) offering among many others, the Hamburger Murset which is a taste symphony of perfect harmony or the Chateaubriand seasoned to perfection. We have been going there from time to time for years and appreciate its consistency which guarantees a good experience on each visit. THANKS!

The food was good I had trouble with the decoration. On the table there are two dry stems with withered flowers in a glass. The candle is wobbly on a thing with a hole. In the large pots (filled with palm trees in the picture) there is a dry bouquet, something like a dust catcher. It's a shame, a lot could still be optimized here with little effort

We were in the Mürset Restaurant, the service was pretty bad... Half of it was forgotten, my meat (veal in the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes) was tough, I was offered a coffee in return, which I never got. We were overcharged for a glass of wine on the bill. Unfortunately we won't be eating there anymore.

Very friendly service, delicious food and no problem even with celiac disease. We made reservations via email and communicated our needs. We then received a call from the restaurant asking if we would like a gluten-free Bernaise sauce with the Chateaubriand.
