Namaste India has a large menu with many options. The food came out quickly and the chicken tikka masala had a nice flavor. Their online menu tells you what is gluten free but it seems like not all of the dishes are marked yet. The waiter was able to help as well. A good gluten free Indian option in Bern.

The presentation of the food and the atmosphere are very nice. The food is tasty and spicyness is adjusted to individual wishes. However, the curries are very oily. A bit less oil and it would be amazing!

Two years ago I was satisfied. Big disappointment today. Average food, very poor service.

I came to dinner one of these evenings with my boyfriend and food was delicious, nice and big portions. Price is correct! Place is beautiful, harmony and Indian culture from food to decoration of the place. Majid, the guy serving us is so attentive, kind and simpátic. I want to come back soon as possible and I recommend it for sure ! One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been so far.

My expectations were exceeded! The food tasted very good, especially the butter chicken. Price performance is very good and it's worth it for this price. I also think it's very good that special requests are taken into account. I will certainly come by and eat here again! :)

Very delicious food. We went on a Saturday night and got lucky with a last minute reservation, I highly recommend making one because they were packed. I got a paneer dish that was labeled as mittelscharf and my husband got a lamb dish that was marked as very scharf, while both were incredibly delicious we did wish they were spicier. The gemüse pakora and rose lasse were also great.

Not bad, but too expensive and the sweeping at the end of the service is not very professional.

We ordered butter chicken garlic naan Dal makhni and butter naan. Service was very slow. Even drinking water was given 20 minutes after order. Food was spicy but tasty. Rice bowl was given complementary which could not be consumed as we were not prepared for that. We could have ordered less no of naan if we knew before hand that rice will be served complementary. Ambience was good. Overall you should give a try

Slow, inattentive service coupled with tasteless food. The interior feels like it was stolen from a cheap Bollywood film. The lentil soup had no salt, the garlic naan tasted like nothing and was burnt, the butter chicken was also seasoned in a completely boring way and the meat was too dry. Plus everything took far too long, and that on a Sunday evening when it was completely empty... OMG. The worst "Indian" I've ever been to. The only thing that was really tasty was the mango lassi... My suggestion: Try harder people or your doors will close soon.

The food is really very good, BUT the waiting times of 1 hour and 20 minutes for coconut chicken, tikka masala, rice and naan for 8 guests at the same time is way too much! Not again.

Ordered food home. Went almost 2 hours. The food was delicious but the original price of 2 Garlic Butter Chicken + 1 Naan was supposed to be CHF 78.70 and with the daily offer it was still 41.80. I would have expected more food for the money.

Best Indian Food in Bern. If you wish to try Authentic Food and Best Environment with Awesome Hospitality, Namaste India is the only choice in Bern.

The food tastes very good but the price varies from morning to evening. I bought takeaway food three times and the price was different each time.

I really enjoyed the Butter Chicken and the Naan bread! I've dined in a few times and thought that the restaurant looked beautiful, it definitely makes you feel closer to Indian culture. Plates are very hygienic, and everything is very nicely spiced. One small tip, maybe the waiters can be more attentive to the customers as sometimes you have to wait quite a long time to be noticed - but that's just a minor issue! I definitely recommend this place and will most definitely come back :)

The restaurant has a magnificent decor, we were at a table near the entrance and unfortunately the door did not close properly and the coming and going of smoking customers forced us to get up to close the door (eat in the drafts are not pleasant). If you go with children, bring a children's chair, the restaurant does not have The food is good for me it wasn't spicy enough

The food is very good but the delivery time is absolutely unacceptable! We were told we would get the food in 20 minutes and waited over two hours (happened the last two times). When I called the guy did not even apologise for the wait. This means I am sorry to write this bad review but really not acceptable - will never be there again!

Too few staff, long waiting times and an empty buffet, ok for takeaway

Over an hour until the starter and then another 25 minutes until the main course and the order wasn't even complete. The reason they gave was that they had a lot of food orders from home today. There were only 8 tables occupied in the restaurant. It's a shame because the food was good. But the prices are very high.

It is very nicely decorated. The food also tastes very good. The service is friendly but not always friendly.

I ordered vegetarian dishes and they were not good. Tandoori roti was way too thin, it had become crispy. The dishes were tasting like tomato puree.

Pros: ambience, customer service (staff and owner are excellent), food quantity is great. Parking was a bit hard to find, but the owner helped us here. Cons: Buffet does not have too much choices and the food served in the buffet does not taste great. Recommendation: Chicken biryani and paneer biryani (ordered from the Menu) are decent

Extremely fine!!!!!!! I ordered chicken masala. I was able to eat it twice for dinner. I've never eaten so good in Bern. I would love to order again today!!

We waited 2 hours for our food and in the end it didn't arrive at all! Very bad service. I would never order again and would not recommend it at all.

Butter chicken chicken way too dry

The restaurant canceled the order 5 minutes before the agreed delivery time. (45 minutes after we placed the order…) 😠 Never again.

Service extremely slow! 45 minutes to receive one dish and they forgot half of what we ordered, all the entries. Go with lot of patience and time. They only have one waitress for the entire restaurant.

Found a long black hair in my food. When I showed it to the very rude woman who works there she pretty much said that I put it there (the hair matched hers perfectly btw) I will not be returning to that restaurant.

We waited over an hour for our food, the starter even came after the main course (after asking, they said the Garlic Naan would be better with the main course^^). Yes, it was very crowded. However, for a long time there was only one waiter, who was friendlier at times, but was probably just stressed most of the time and hardly communicated, let alone greeted us and just handed out the cards. What a shame! Since the food was really good there is one more star.

From 19.03.22: we waited like 40min to get the food. The portions were small and not tasty at all. Service was really bad. One guy for the whole place. Just skip this "restaurant" and don't waste your time.

Hearty restaurant with friendly but somewhat slow service. My colleague ordered the vegi thali which was really delicious and the butter naan are also very good. My Mattar Mushroom, on the other hand, was bland and otherwise boring, with canned mushrooms ;(

Really good with really tasty dishes... but think about to stay there for long time till you'll be served..they have their own pace. Garlic naan is the best!

Super food ,testy and very good service ,clean and very good location

Restaurant was pretty busy. Unfortunately we were seated and then ignored for an hour. We couldn't even order something to drink. When we pointed this out, the waiter just said “coming, coming”, of course he didn’t come. After calling for the third time we were finally able to order the drinks and food. After about 2 hours we finally had our food in front of us. The dishes were hearty and extremely tasty. I can really only give it 3 stars because the food was so good! Lamb Vindaloo was great, very very tender meat. As a tip: next time you should probably decide in advance and order directly when you place your order.

Food good - service catastrophe I've ordered there online several times because the food is actually (very) good. However, the delivery service/service is almost always catastrophic. The last order was not delivered, but the credit card was still charged!! After 3 weeks and 5 phone calls, the amount has still not been credited to my credit card. An absolute no-go! It's a shame, but I will never order there again or visit the restaurant again.

Good starter but disappointing food. Very bad naans. Main course was not tasty. Very humid ambience. Too much waiting time.

We had to wait 15 minutes for a ticket. We ordered children's menu with our starter and only received the starter. So the children had to wait. There was only one waiter who had to run around and the boss just watched. We had to get cutlery and napkins from the other tables ourselves. We had to wait a long time before we could order the main course, but the waiter said we had to hurry up even though we were waiting. Never again!!!!!!!

After waiting more than an hour for our starter (only “one” starter) we received our main course even more late. Although we have already noted that we have been waiting for the main course for a long time. The waitress told us several times that the food would come in a few minutes, which was not true. Unfortunately, the vegetables weren't completely cooked through and the meat was anything but tender. For these reasons, unfortunately only 1 star rating.

The food was greasy and almost burnt! Instead of different chutneys, there was only 1 small bowl! Not recommended and the price is too high!

The restaurant is closed, I ordered online to pick it up myself, I had already made the payment, when I got to the restaurant I saw that it was closed, I had to drive 20 klm for nothing, I don't know what happened to my money.

Everyone deserves a second chance. The first time I ordered something here, it took about 1.5 hours for the food to be delivered (the stated time was about 40 minutes). Now I've been waiting again for 1.5 hours. My lunch break is over - I've eaten a sandwich by now. The phone isn't picked up and the delivery page has been saying "Your order will arrive soon" for an hour. Never again!

Useless customer service. Ordered food through Uber eats and it took nearly 2 hours and arrived smashed up in the bottoms of the bag. When I contacted them Direct the answer was “we are now closed so what do you want us to do about it”! Not all Uber eats fault. Took the forever to make the food even though they said it would be delivered in 35-45 mins

The food tasted awesome every bite here and the ambience was exquisite💕 We felt we were taken to North India itself. From Dhal makhni to fish curry and tandoori chicken, the food was perfectly cooked and tasted authentic😍. Highly recommended for people who visit Bern🥰

We waited outside for over 20 minutes to order and were completely ignored, even though I went inside twice to get the menu and ask if I could order. Terrible service and intense feeling of two-tier society. I ate here once in the summer and it was delicious, but to be treated like that is beneath anyone.

We've dined at the restaurant here once and ordered home delivery many times. The food is good, but the service has gone down recently. We pre-ordered with a specific delivery time, and still got the order 10 minutes late. The food was cold, but the deliverer's attitude was colder - no greetings, no thank-you, not a word. I assume that the restaurant has their own delivery guy (no uniform, no eat.ch bag, even though it was ordered through eat.ch), that's why I'm writing a review here instead of on eat.ch. Last time it was more than half an hour late. So sorry guys, but we won't order home delivery from you anymore. It's quite anti-climatic to eat cold food when you've been starving.

Very unfriendly and rude staff. Don't let excuses be made. Food didn't arrive. The phone wasn't picked up for a very long time. After a long wait, the reason that the food didn't come was that their delivery truck had a problem and that's why they canceled our meal...

Plastic in rice... It started well, nice chairs and decoration... but then the charm deceived us. Not only did we have to wait almost 2 hours for our food, we also had a piece of plastic in our rice. No more!

Never again! I ordered vegetarian samosas in the evening on July 30, 21, with naan bread. Below the samosas there were still rotten lettuce residues in the aluminum packaging! As if that wasn't bad enough, the main problem was that I puked up the frass that same evening! The work was not done cleanly! I am no longer a guest with you.

For Indians, the food is Pathetic. We planned our dinner on Friday evening and it was a disastrous experience. And Service, it’s complete mess. We waited 30 minutes to give order and just serving drinks took 25 minutes for them to serve. If you can afford very long waiting time, then it’s ok. NOT recommended. And yes, this was our second visit, but we decided to give it second chance, and it was the same as our first experience.

Decent food and nice decor but very pricey, and very slow and sloppy service (forgot to serve multiple items we’d ordered, no water refills, we had to go to the kitchen multiple times to remind and ask for things). So definitely not worth the prices they’re charging (average entree is $30).

It was disappointing. The food wasn't particularly tasty and wasn't authentically India. The typical feeling of still feeling India on the palate after eating was definitely not there. In addition, the food wasn't really hot, rather lukewarm to room temperature. The service was not very friendly. There was a lot going on and probably not enough staff on site. They probably won't be able to welcome us there anymore.

Nice food and lovely terrace. The service, however, is completely disorganised. You often have to wait 15 minutes to be able to order and another 30 to get the food. The waiters rarely come to the table and you have to look for them if you want any attention.

Very good experience! We eat very well. And they have a pretty, quite quiet terrace, further from the center. We ordered okra masala, paneer makhani, 2 naans and 2 lassi with some onions. It cost us 75 francs if ever. A little expensive, but it's the city of Bern!

Delivery is fast and food is amazing and main thing is taste of Curries is real as like in India.
