Absolutely beautiful food in a beautiful location.

Very accommodating staff, the food was excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Since I was a child, I often spend time here in the summer with my lovely mother, eating ice cream or other dishes. The best time is in the evening, just before sunset, when you have a beautiful view of the lake.

Absolutely fantastic! I can't recommend this restaurant enough! We enjoyed both lunch and dinner during our stay at this hotel. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the flavors were simply amazing. Our server, Sandro, was cool, charming, attentive, professional, and incredibly funny! He's definitely the best waiter I've ever met. We already miss Sandro and will definitely be returning to this restaurant

Great food and very nice location. Always my pleasure. A year later there again, I have to say best beef tartare ever and I've already eaten a lot.

Nice decoration outside. Probably too much pre-Christmas stress inside. Not very polite reception with seniors accompanying them. View of the lake and Niesen is very nice

For lunch we found a menu of the day which offered 1 starter out of 2 and 1 main course out of 3 to choose from. A glass of sparkling water was offered for the menu. The meal was very very good. The meat and fish with their accompaniments were prepared and we felt that a real chef was working in the kitchen. In addition the menu was displayed at 29 chf. Unbeatable value for money. To recommend. I forgot the waitress who completed everything with her professionalism.

Delicious food and super friendly service

Excellent location for this restaurant with its feet in the water of Lake Thun. In a stylish place, a stylish restaurant with a nice menu. The problem begins upon receipt of the plates where it is very visibly and to the palate the different components of the dishes are not cooked on site, apart from the cooking of meat and fish. The difference is notable when you opt for homemade spatzli. Magnificent wine list which gives pride of place to Swiss and local wines. To try the white wine from Lake Thun

The location of the restaurant is beautiful. But when we sat at the table, his employee " the blond women" was very rude and racist and gave us provocative looks! You must respect all tourists from all over the world and serve them with a smile ! This is the simplest thing to do!

I don't know about the hotel, but the restaurant is bad and their treatment is worse, especially the girls, and I would never recommend trying it

If there was the possibility of giving 6 stars I would: In such a beautiful place one could fear the tourist trap, and on the contrary we had an exceptional time. Magnificent location, very smiling, very friendly and efficient service; fine dining; and more than reasonable addition.

Yesterday's visit was an absolute disappointment. The service was totally uncoordinated and stressed, even towards the customer. An older couple said they had been waiting a while to order, whereupon the waitress said there were only two of them and couldn't be everywhere (the terrace was only about 1/4 full). In our opinion, totally unprofessional. We observed how 3 tables were occupied by new customers and the service employee preferred to spend time wiping out ashtrays and disappearing again and again without even taking an order. We asked for warm food at 3 p.m. and while the employee told us that she would get us the menu, she turned away again and disappeared without taking drinks or anything. Real beginner level. In the process, a menu was left at the pick-up table, which was not picked up and stood outside during our entire visit of around 1.5 hours after a while in the storm until the wind took care of the French fries and made them ready for the birds. When we arrived inside and ordered our food, the wind was so strong through the entrance gate that a bouquet of flowers that was standing there quickly fell to the ground. After the employee noticed the event, she placed the pot again in the same place, whereupon we (several guests) recommended that it would be better to place the pot on the ground to prevent it from falling over again. When the food finally came, despite saying yes to the offer of ketchup, we waited until the end and didn't receive it. We were no longer interested in asking. I definitely expected more than frozen crispy fish. It was edible but I can easily prepare the menu at home and don't need to go to a restaurant. We're definitely not coming back.

Everything is perfect, welcome, service, meals, cleanliness, atmosphere.... Just the plates of perch fillets with very little garnish for the large portion too bad. But we will come back like every year Thanks to Sandro 👍

Good cappuccino with a beautiful view. The atmosphere is stylish and cozy and the coffee is strong. The perfect stopover on a bike tour. The waiter was friendly. Unfortunately there are no bike racks.

I only had fish soup (yum) because I still wanted to swim. The lunch menu looked great. Right on the lake with lots of shade and beautiful views. Everything looks perfect inside. Incredible.

The restaurant is beautifully located, right on the lake. On the terrace you can not only enjoy food and drinks, but also the view of the lake and the mountains. The fish fillets in dill wine batter are recommended.

I had dinner here with 13 people. Everything went very well. Sandro handled the reservation and pre-ordering of the menu very well. I can highly recommend it. Thank you Sandro.

A very nice place right on Lake Thun. The scheduled ship also docks there. Service was very friendly even though it was busy. The food was very tasty. We would love to come back 🤗

We came to the restaurant spontaneously without having known it before. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and served quickly (despite the high occupancy!). The waitress was very friendly, had a lot of fun and also gave us some insider tips for our next vacation in Greece. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and given a bowl of water straight away. The food was fantastic, no long waits. The price-performance ratio as well as the location are top! Again any time!

We had the funeral meal there at a funeral with close family circles. Despite the sad occasion, it was a successful meal. The Hotel Restaurant Neuhaus zum See was not only prepared to hold the funeral feast at very short notice; It was also possible to respond to our unforeseeable number of guests as well as individual requests. The children were also treated to a particularly friendly welcome. Many thanks to the Neuhaus team! We'll be back on a happier occasion...

very beautiful view. A big disappointment that the food was not tasty, we ordered fish and the Caesar salad came out of the salad with a big hair, and the fish was so not tasty that we didn’t even touch it, but they still charged us 120 francs

Spontaneously stopped by the restaurant. We were quickly given a friendly welcome and served quickly. A small misunderstanding with the map 😅 was quickly resolved. 🥤🥤 We chose a tomato soup with cream, which tasted very tasty and powerful. The view is of course amazing, especially since the boat dock is just a few meters away 🛳⛴️. A visit, highly recommended when the weather is nice 🫡😍👍

ÜWe had asparagus with hollandaise and boiled potatoes. Unfortunately the boiled potatoes were still almost raw. We ended up complaining to the waiter. There is a very beautiful view of the lake in front of the restaurant.

The best place to enjoy Lake Thun. The dishes are relatively expensive, but the service is no problem. Although I didn’t order the set meal, I still served a pre-dinner meal. Thank you! The fish platter is well worth a try, 4.5 points, shared by 2 people, and was thoughtfully given a small plate. The dining environment and surrounding environment scored 4.8 points. The attached parking lot requires a parking ticket.

I had a cozy evening here with friendly and courteous service. The food was excellent - the vegetables were a bit overcooked. Overall, a good overall package - I would go there again.

The presentation, food, and environment are all pretty good The reason for the negative review is that the small portion of food is considered to be the price of a large portion. It happened to be 70 francs for the Easter set meal. When checking out, the dishes in the set meal will be charged according to the a la carte price!

I wanted to have a drink there on July 13th, 2022 with my visit from D and then maybe something small. Eating.One of the 3 men turned us away and said everything was reserved.One asked me if we wanted to eat too, I said, drink something first. I think it's so mean that you're turned away as a local, even though there weren't many people there. You only hear bad things about the unfriendliness and arrogance. SAD, SAD...

We left after waiting for a quarter of an hour. One waiter was overwhelmed, the second didn't want to help...

Great warm and welcoming place. A top-notch waiter from Provost (black beard), very funny, who gave us a great time, thanks to him! The dishes were delicious, lots of choice, for all diets. I recommend :)

The food was quite nice but what really stood out was the exceptional service. The French-German speaking gentleman was super friendly and made the experience exceptional. The views are great and make sure to take a stroll along the shor of lake thun.

Slow and not exactly friendly service

Never again. I am or was regularly in the rest. Neuhaus. Today it was 14 degrees with many people out and about. Unfortunately there were hardly any tables on the large terrace. When I asked if they had run out of tables, the employee walked past me without saying a word. This event was actually just a confirmation that this restaurant would no longer be considered. There have been various incidents such as; Once you pay for chips at the aperitif, the next time the chips were offered... etc.

The best customer care at Zum See restaurant. Mr Chef de Service, Dark haired with beard who took care of our family on our holiday. We are very happy and will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family!. Thank you so much Mr. chef de Service!!👏👏👏👏

the entire team was very friendly, we were allowed to pamper our palate with a great 6-course menu of the finest on New Year's Eve with our dog, service, cuisine, ambience was great, great wine list... Sufficient time was allowed between each course, we felt very well looked after, was a great experience, not just for the palate🫠 Thank you very much for that😘

What a lovely restaurant, made even better by fantastic service staff, Sandro. We had just arrived in to Lake Thun, with hungry kids in tow, with no where to eat. We were given incomplete information and directions, and were stranded until the next bus arrived to take us to our eventual destination. Into the hotel restaurant we went, greeted by Sandro, who not only gave us a run down on the sights around the area, he also offered us a special menu that was kids-friendly! He made sure the food came out quickly, he was full of life, helped us take pictures, and even gave us a few recommendations on sights and restaurants at our eventual destination. And oh, by the way, the food was lovely too! All the best Sandro and the team at the restaurant. Auf Wiedersehen!

The view is fantastic. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in a deluxe room for 4 nights. CHF210 per night. It might not be a 5-star experience but we will definitely come back! Try the fondue as well best this winter! ❄️ (One issue is their bed is so soft if you have a back problem it might not be the best choice for you).

Well, being friendly is completely different. The staff argue among themselves where the guests should sit. We then left without eating. Prices are very high for average portions. I think this place thrives on the beautiful surroundings and not on the service. It's a shame it used to be different.

I was there for the first time yesterday and have never experienced such perfect service. The chef de service was incredibly attentive and fulfilled our every wish, no matter how small. The food was just perfect and I felt extremely comfortable. Would love to come back every day. The atmosphere was extremely pleasant as was the entire staff.

Just pass by to have a drink... No say hi No taking an oder..no nothing.. Avoid all Asian.. don't come to this place... Bad service.....oh no ..No Service

We waited at the table for 15 minutes, the waitress saw us and probably didn't want to come to us. We left, as did the table next to us. Weak.

This was our restaurant where we enjoyed eating for years. Last time we were the first guests out at 11:30 a.m. and weren't served for 20 minutes even though we called service three times. Meanwhile, other guests arrived and were served before us. We then got up and left. Unfortunately there is no place for us anymore.

Disappointment at our new visit, this August 31, 2022: meal clearly more "conventional" and less tasty. What happened, it’s a shame! Suddenly the value for money is no longer interesting. In addition, before, we received free mineral water... Shame!

Unfriendly, arrogant staff. When we wanted to sit down on the garden terrace at a table that had just been cleared (otherwise everything was occupied), we were chased away like dogs by a waiter (foreigner with a dark beard) across all the people!! You won't go there a second time!!!

It's quite OK but pretty $$$. I ordered steak and got not even up to 150gr and the mushroom sauce was probably made out of 1 mushroom and my plateooked like water thrown in the middle of a desert. They should do better.

My only bad experience so far in Switzerland! Beautiful surroundings but terribly rude service by the older blonde head waitress that never smiles and looks like shes permanently upset. Always amazing! I have been coming here since I was a kid as this was my grandmother's favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, with a lovely view of the Thunersee. We particularly enjoy the desserts.

The location is fantastic. We were there 3 weeks ago, the terrace was overcrowded, but we were allowed to take our ice cream sundaes with us to a place in the meadow. And of course we brought them back. The day before yesterday we wanted to do it again, but the chef de service refused. When I told him that this wasn't a problem 3 weeks ago, I received an unfriendly reply: if I do that to you, everyone will want it. Thanks, that solved it for me

We waited for more than half an hour for the food... Finally, we were given hot dishes that we forgot to serve along with the plates. There was not a single smiling face during the whole process. I think the guests are not obligated to wait for such a long time. They also need to understand each other... We waited for at least half an hour, and if you count from the photos I took, we probably waited for a full hour 😅 Just want to say dirty words 🤬

Honestly a magnificent place!! A great waitress (Christine). As much as she made the effort to try to speak French, I tried to speak English. To eat really, really good food too.
