The successful mix of modern ambience and natural elements creates a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. When it comes to the food, I can only rave. The creative menu presents a variety of dishes prepared with attention to detail. Every bite is a revelation to the taste buds. The selection ranges from delicious starters to exquisite main courses, and the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the products and the sophistication with which the dishes are presented. The service at Lido al Lago also deserves the highest praise. The staff is attentive, friendly and competent. The waiter's recommendations pampered our taste buds every time. The service is unobtrusive but always present to ensure that we don't lack anything. A special highlight for me was the house wine recommendation. The selection of local and international wines is impressive, and the sommelier impressed us with his expertise and passion for wine. Every sip was a journey of discovery in itself. All in all, I can fully recommend the Lido al Lago. This restaurant is not just a place for excellent food, but an overall experience that appeals to all the senses. Whether for a romantic evening for two, a festive meal with friends or a special occasion - at Lido al Lago every meal becomes an unforgettable experience.

I visited the place for a family dinner. We were surprised that they bake pizza in a wood-fired oven, which makes pizza taste especially good. Other dishes were great too! We loved the service and we even met the owner who was really friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a nice evening! 😊

Went there 2 times because it was so good. Foie gras, lamb, duck and shrimps are Michelin star level food. Valentin is a god.

I asked for delivery of two pizzas. One had a completely burnt bottom and was inedible. The other was edible, but still with several burn marks. It's a shame because we understand that the flavor would be good if it wasn't burnt

Food and service were off the charts. We stayed at one of the highest ranked hotels in Lugano, just 800 meters up the road and this meal was every bit as good at 1\2 the price. Not only that, David gave me a pizza dough recipe I can't wait to try when we get home. Try the rack of lamb or gamberoni. Delicious!

Went with 11 people following our niece's graduation from college. After several days in Lugano, I was wondering if there just wasn't good food there. This place blows away the others. Everything from their wines to desserts and everything between is wonderful. The host, David, and all the staff we interacted with were attentive, knowledgeable and made our celebration special. If I am ever in Lugano again, this may be the only place I go out to eat.

We happened to stumble across this place on the way to downtown and I’m extremely thankful that we did. Everything about this restaurant — the food, the service, the decor — was exceptional. Easily the best restaurant that we’ve tried in Switzerland in our week here. Everything we had from the appetizers to the desserts was prompt, delicious, and presented to us beautifully. Our server David was very friendly and made the experience more memorable. All this plus one of the most reasonably priced locations in an otherwise pricey country. This is an absolute must-try for any foodies visiting the Lugano area.

Excellent service and great food at a reasonable price! We ordered 2 mains to share and we were delighted that they served us in separate half portions. The octopus starters were not divided into 2 as it was difficult to portion out but we were given an additional plate. We'll be back the never time when we're there.

Me and my boyfriend had dinner here and it was amazing. From the ambiance, the super friendly staff to the delicious food, everything was awesome. We were also allowed to have our dog with us, which is important for us since he is very old. We really enjoyed our evening here and definitely recommend it. We will return here anytime we are in Lugano.

This was our last dinner in Switzerland couldn’t have been the better place than Nido al Lago. The ambiance was great with good menu options. Wine was subtle and good match to our mains. We had Seabass and healthy option of pizza and Ravioli. The most sumptuous chocolate mouse I have had so far, the service staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you 🙏

We went here following the very good rating on google as well as the very well looking pizzas shown on the photos that were previously uploaded by the restaurant. Unfortunately, these Neapolitan style pizzas were either cooked in another places, or were cooked only once. We and the other few clients there got some tasteless, hard pizzas (please see the photo below. One can appreciate that they do not look similar to those uploaded by the restaurant. The taste meets the view. The service was nice and attentive.

A bit outside of the city but definitely worth a visit! Great food, nice interior and nice stuff, especially the manager David was very friendly! They offer pizza with three different pizza dough, choose the brown one, delicious. Had great time and will definitely come back if in Lugano. During the summer time you could sit more or less outside with a tiny view of lake Lugano.

Everything top, fantastic location, creative menu with quality ingredients but still honest prices. The fusion of more Central European and Mediterranean cuisine is interesting, you can see that the chef has extensive experience in different culinary worlds. Very kind and attentive staff. Excellent food, I had an exquisite pizza, (which is difficult to find in Lugano) as the competition usually makes high quality, Neapolitan pizza. This one was just the right amount of thin, with plenty of toppings. My husband had a first course that was not only beautiful as presented on the plate, but also very tasty. All served in the right time. As for the price, it is average for Ticino restaurants. It's difficult for me to give 5 stars, but this place deserves them all. I will be back soon!

We discovered this gem on our short visit to Lugano this weekend. The wood fired oven pizza was absolutely phenomenal! Our picky eater 18 month old daughter finished her sea bass before moving onto my lamb chops which is the biggest indicator of how tasty everything was. Highly recommend trying tortellini and getting the passionfruit cheesecake for dessert too.

Nido al Lago is a fabulous new place that new Owners have done their best to refurbish and create an welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The menu is excellent and offers a wide range of choices to satisfy all tastes. The Chef is making wonders offering a high quality of fresh ingredients and exquisite flavors. The presentation of food is absolutely stunning and extremely impressive. I have had diner at Nido al Lago few times now and always have been impressed by the fresh and high quality of food and the cosy atmosphere. It is also worth mentioning that there are new items on the menu to surprise and impress the customers. My high recommendations and very well done for the great work to Nido al Lago!!!! A place where I will definitely come back to experience again incredible flavors and amazing ambiance!!!!

Great place with fantastic views and cuisine. We had pizza and steak . Delicious. Attentive approach of the waiters and reasonable prices. My recommendation is that you visit and taste the dishes. As for the wines, the choice is wide and interesting. I had the best Amarrone ever ! Next time in Lugano, I want to taste the other dishes. Surely many other gastronomic surprises are to come !
