Excellent restaurant with great cuisine, informal but very pleasant service and a modern environment. I went with my wife and we both ordered the classics menu accompanied by a few glasses of red wine and champagne. All the courses proved to be excellent but the pigeon and the capa santa deserve special mention. The meeting with the chef was also much appreciated. Overall a delicious gastronomic journey recommended to anyone who has the opportunity. Prices from a starred restaurant, as expected.

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant experience. Very nice place, overlooking Lake Lugano, highly qualified and courteous staff. We chose the menu of great classics and enjoyed all the various courses. The only note is that the reductions make some dishes (rabbit ravioli and Iberian secreto) very tasty, perhaps a little too much for my personal taste but I must add that the other ingredients that make up the dishes expertly help to balance everything. A heartfelt thank you for the sweet gift for our anniversary.

Extremely positive experience. We tried the menu of great classics, the courses are numerous and varied, refined down to the smallest details and in the balance of flavours. I found a couple of dishes (the rabbit ravioli and the pork secreto) slightly too tasty and bland. Honorable mention for the Gragnano spaghetti and the small pastries, with a surprise for our anniversary. Impeccable and extremely helpful waiters.

Friendliness and hospitality accompany the customer on a journey of Mediterranean flavors and an extrovert and original look, starting from the fun and delicious amuse bouche such as the bloody mary in a test tube or the stones of the meta. In every dish you can feel the freshness and authenticity of the product, the care and research of the raw materials, from the butter from the Ticino Alps to the very tasty pachino cherry tomato that accompanies the spectacular patanegra. Throughout my time in Europe, I’ve tried 20+ tasting menu & Michelin restaurants. I tend to like the ones that balance being innovative and edgy with serving good food that’s filling - this restaurant did a great job of that. Not only that but the service was great, the wine was wonderful, and the views were amazing! (We visited several months ago)

Me and my husband chose this restaurant to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We came all the way from USA and I can tell you this place didn't disappoint us. Very nice location, close to the lake and easy to find. We started our 5 course chef's tasting menu from appetizers by chef. It was mix of cheeses in different variations - deep fried, cream cheese, cheese truffle and refreshing gazpacho soup. 1.Our first tasting dish were amberjack ceviche with fresh mint, peach and lemon sauce. It was absolutely delightful. 2.Then we had poached egg in creamy pea puree and shaved with Belèer Knolle cheese. It was also one of my favorite dishes because it was so creamy and egg was a great addition to this dish. Also there were Bona crumbles - sweet to balance the pea puree. 3. Next - Paccheridi Gragnano halves with oriental veal ragout. unfortunately this pasta wasn't my favorite. It was too al dente and I am not used to such a thick uncooked pasta. We ask waiter and he confirmed that's the way it should be. Also too much peanuts overwhelmed the sauce and it felt you are eating sneakers. But I absolutely loved veal ragout sauce, it was rich with flavors and very nicely done. 4.Then our next dish was Red Mediterranean tuna with charcoal, teriyaki mayonnaise, cucumber and puffed rice with seaweed. It was the best cooked tuna that I ever tried. It was so tender and melting on my tongue. 5. Next was perfectly cooked Duck with cherries. I absolutely loved duck, it was cooked to perfection!!! 6. Pre-dessert - strawberry basil puree to refresh tasting buds and prepare for the dessert. 7. Vanilla cheesecake with apricot and carrot sorbet with prune compote. 8. And complementary truffle selection from Chef to congratulate us with our anniversary. Absolutely best anniversary meal. I also loved that service here was very open and nice. It was my first Michelin star experience and I didn't felt any snobbism, like in other restaurants in Milan for example. Nice presentation, and all dishes were properly described in English for us which is additional plus since my husband doesn't speak Italian. Absolutely worth the trip!

Worst place. Went there at 6:55pm. Google says they are open. They claim they don’t open until 7 and they are fully booked. Place is completely empty. Pretty sure they are racist or just a front and not an actual business because 90% of the time the lights are off and it is actually closed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. food probably sinks too.

The opportunity to take advantage of the cuisine of a starred chef in Lugano. Very welcoming and prepared staff. Cozy place with appropriate and comfortable furnishings. The menu is not very long, but offers dishes that combine local products with quality raw materials. The prices are indeed "high", but if you compare them in Lugano with pizzas that cost 25.-........then the quality/price ratio is not low at all. The visit to the room by the Chef was appreciated. In the splendid setting of the Mantegazza palace in Paradiso, a restaurant that finally gives credit to the Lugano square which is a little lacking in gourmet proposals. A location with a clear modernist impact, accompanied by a young and talented chef who prepares fusion cuisine without forgetting its Mediterranean origins. A small flaw is the cellar which is a little subdued and has significant mark-ups.

We popped in casually for a quick lunch at Meta, without knowing its importance. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. We tasted pappardella and various appetizers proposed by the chef, all delicious. All the staff who welcomed and pampered us were truly impeccable and superlative.

I was here tonight with my girlfriend. I really got to say this is the best restaurant in Lugano, hands down. There is no comparison in service wise and food quality wise. Starting from the fingerfood and going through the first, second and desert there was really nothing to complain about, on the contrary my tasting buds were simply craving for more and more!! Everything was tasteful and very well prepared. The attention to details is simply marvelous. I can advise to any food lover to visit this place at least once in a life time. Simply magnificent!!! Also big thanks for the carrying staff and the wonderful chef! Will be back soon!!!

Very nice and welcoming place, I give 4 stars only because for reasons of my own I was unable to taste the paired wines. We took the 6-course tasting menu and in addition to being plentiful they were all very, very good. The chef managed to sublimely blend different ingredients coming from very far away without ever causing the flavor to be lost as a whole. The egg is something exceptional, absolutely worth trying!! He was also very kind to stop for a chat after the meal. The staff is very kind and attentive, the only flaw is a boy who, in addition to having served first me and then my partner, when changing my cutlery, put it on the table in a crude way. We will definitely be back!!

Chef Luca Bellanca, the new location on the ground floor with lake view, the friendly and incredibly professional guys, the highest quality products such as the red prawn from Mazara del Vallo, the veal tartar, the Black Cod... and then dishes delicious like Carbonara, Amatriciana, Ravioli di Pata Negra... that place is poetry!

Étant de temps en temps à Lugano, je suis retourné au Meta. Accueil toujours sympa et classe, même pour une personne seule. Ai pris le menu découverte, à 6 plats. Amuse-bouche, deux entrées, 1 poisson, une viande, 1 pré-dessert et un dessert ! Tout était très bon et très fin. Je relève l’œuf en entrée, avec son contenant original et le contenu fin, et la joue de bœuf, un régal... quand au dessert, à se relever la nuit.Merci au Chef pour sa visite en fin de repas très appréciée ainsi que l’équipe du service, sympa et très professionnelle. Merci en particulier à la jeune fille, qui parlait français et m’a permis de mieux comprendre le menu.A ne pas rater...

Desideravo da tempo cenare al Meta e devo dire che le aspettative non sono state disattese. Bella la location, elegante ma non pomposa. Personale attento e molto gentile. Interessante sia il menu che il fuori carta. Ho assaggiato là tartare di fassona (fuori carta) che ho trovato di ottima qualità. Come piatto forte ho ordinato le linguine al nero, apprezzatissime. Buono anche il dessert.Non è un ristorante a buon mercato, ma la qualità della materia prima e la realizzazione giustificano ampiamente il prezzo richiesto.

Very good food and extremely friendly service. We received very competent advice and the wine was particularly good. A family member had a bit of trouble finding something in the complex menu and the kitchen didn't want to go against us by giving us something from the somewhat simpler take-away menu. Unfortunately, a salad was also forgotten, so one star was deducted overall.

Magnifique terrasse, face au lac, au pied d’un immeuble moderne en verre. Super accueil, malgré le fait que j’étais seul (merci !). Personnels très compétent et sympa. Et on ne m’a pas parlé allemand, alléluia! J’ai pris une salade verte et un tartare de bœuf. On m’a amené huile et vinaigre pour faire ma sauce salade même, très apprécié! J’ai également apprécié l’amuse-bouche, très fin, de trois pièces différentes. Et, avant l’amuse-bouche, on avait placé de l’huile d’olive, du beurre, des tomates olives, des grissinis et un superbe pain foncé maison ! Le tiramisu 2.0 maison était un régal ! Et lorsque j’ai demandé « il conto », on m’a re-rempli mon verre de grappa...J’y retournerais!

The ingredients are fresh And locally sourced, however the prices remain low. No waiting around, a great new spot to try for supper. The food arrived to the table actually quickly and was in fact delightful, certainly getting excited about visiting again. Waiters always Waiters always enthusiastic, can always find something I want on the menu. Waiters were definitely eager to help us with this menu selections.

Unglaublich - das Essen ist super fein und die Kinder (der Gäste) schauen Filme auf ihren Smartphones! Die Stimmung ist alles andere als entsprechend. Wir haben den Kellner aufgefordert, dass er die Filme und natürlich den Ton ausschalten lässt. Leider ohne Erfolg. Schade. Wir kommen sicher nicht mehr! Fas Verhalten ist unangebracht und frech!

Cena con mia moglie per il nostro anniversario di matrimonio. Location bella, servizio cortese, puntuale, attento. Cucina superlativa, attenzione nei nettagli, materie prime freschissime, piatti ricercati. Un complimento particolare allo chef Luca, che è passato in sala a salutare gli ospiti, veramente bravo. Consiglio alla guida Michelin di passare a visitare il ristorante perche’ la cucina merita la stella Michelin. Bravi

Siamo stati a cena in 5 il 12 aprile 2019.Abbiamo optato per un menu degustazione da 5 portate il quale é stato davvero eccellente.Il cibo buonissimo, lo staff attento ad ogni dettaglio e veramente molto disponibile ed infine abbiamo potuto scambiare anche 2 parole con lo cheff.Un'ottima scoperta in quel di Lugano con cibi provenienti anche dalle nostre bellissime valli. Complimenti a tutti, ci torneremo.

Fast service, excellent quality of the dishes offered

Sono stato qui per una cena di lavoro il 22 dicembre 2018, dove é stato tutto molto bello, e buono.Se non fosse stato per un episodio al quanto spiacevole. Verso le 23:00 ho chiesto a più colleghi dove avessero preso la birra alla spina, la risposta è stata sempre la medesima:"all 'entrata vai li e ti puoi servire tranquillamente"... Detto fatto mi sono recato, e putacaso un altro collega si stava servendo, come avrebbe fatto chiunque visto che non c' era nessuno dietro la postazione ed èra come se fosse stato un self service... Ad un certo punto con modi sgarbati e maleducati, arriva il Maitre di sala che tirandoci i bicchieri di mano ha farfugliato delle parole a muso duro, facendoci capire che non avremo potuto bere quelle bibite. Fatto sta che mi ha fatto fare una figura pessima davanti agli altri commensali, anche perché ad un certo punto ha detto che avremo dovuto pagare 15 miseri franchi per avere quello che ci eravamo fatti da bere, che io ho logicamente ho dato a questo incompetente, che avrei chiaramente lanciato a quest ultimo, ma essendo io una persona educata ho lasciato spazio al buon senso... Un hotel ristorante assume queste figure professionali?Potreste avere la migliore cucina, la migliore struttura e le migliori camere di Lugano, ma senza educazione non avrete punti a vostro favore.
