Njørden Restaurant - Gastronomie Scandinave in Aubonne

Very disappointed with the bistro. Unnecessarily tiny portions for a brasserie. 2 of the dishes were bathed in cream (bisque and meatballs) to the point of drowning the taste. The foie gras contained more fatty jelly than liver. The bread was dry. The wine was very good.

Second visit to this fabulous restaurant, and certainly not the last. Incredible flavors, unforgettable textures, wines chosen with passion and remarkable service. Everything is there. Obviously worth a (big) detour!

There is molecular cuisine, fusion or all the national or regional variants but with Njørden we access meta cuisine! In a discreet partnership with the flat-pack furniture brand located not far away, we are offered HUVUDROLL, which in itself is not wildly original but it would be to omit that between the order and the serving of the dish we are offered the opportunity to read or re-read all of the IKEA catalogs from the 1950s to 2021, which marks the end of paper editions. I only have four words: Amazing Kult Extraordinary Admirable

A must-visit restaurant, the staff is attentive and attentive, the food is delicious and the owners manage to make this place a space where you feel good. I will come back for Brunch!

The atmosphere is nice and the menu has the merit of standing out from the competition, but it will not inspire everyone. The dishes are good but do not deserve 16 in Gault et Millau, nor 1 Michelin star. So disappointed. I don't think I'll come back.

After discovering this restaurant with an 8-course gourmet meal and brunch on a Sunday, I wanted to discover the weekday lunch version. It's just perfect. The welcome, the menu, the dishes, the service, in short it was just perfect.

13.01.2024 This time we tested the gastronomic side. Staff always great and friendly. There is the 6, 7 or 8 course version. We chose 6 services at 186.-. Everything was delicious, well presented, a treat. Amuse bouche, scallops, freshwater fish (Féra unless I'm mistaken), seawater fish (I don't remember which one...), cheeses, sorbet, dessert and sweets. On the other hand, 500.- for 2 people... it still stings a bit. Once things go well, the next time we'll go back to the brewery side :-) 23.12.2023 On the brewery side, it was a discovery and really not disappointed. The staff are friendly, a lovely setting and the food is excellent, a real treat.

Finally a restaurant with a real concept and one that sticks to it. The atmosphere and the menu are consistent and keep all their promises. We had a great time, we ate more than well and we were well served. The only downside if there were to be one is the price. But given the quality of the products, the development of the menus and the quality service +++ we can only find the bill reasonable! Thanks to the whole team.

Quite mixed and contrasting opinions. Opinion only concerns the bistro side. The specialties, dried meat chips and fish charcuterie are well executed. On the other hand, the carpacio are quite tasteless and full of water due to the meat being practically frozen at the time of slicing, I imagine. The meat is not even the most tender and too cold. They look good but it's not at all tasty. Dishes to avoid. The salmon is very good. Even the desserts lack a little indulgence. It's really very pure. The brasserie's wine list is quite limited, don't hesitate to ask for the gastro menu for more choice. Prices also follow... In short, at 400 euros with the wine, at less than 100.- per bottle, it's not the best experience.

We came there at noon. The waitress neither offered us the menu nor bread. So we asked if there was a daily menu which we took. It was a warm goat cheese salad. Honestly, as a menu and not as a starter, I was surprised to see the tiny quantity of elements that made up this dish, so much so that I remember precisely the number of each vegetable in the dish. All that to say that for the price it wasn't worth it especially since the dish wasn't transcendent... But very pretty terrace

One unique aspect of Njorden is its vegetarian and pescatarian-focused menu, which excludes meat but celebrates an array of fish and seafood options. While I am not a strict vegetarian, I found the absence of meat to be a refreshing change. What truly stood out to me was the impressive wine selection. Switzerland is known for its underrated and exquisite wines, and Njorden did not disappoint in this regard. The sommelier's knowledge and passion for Swiss wines were evident as they expertly guided us through the selections that would best complement our meal. we had the pleasure of discovering some hidden gems that perfectly complemented the seafood dishes and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The service at Njorden was impeccable, striking a balance between attentive and unobtrusive. The staff was genuinely enthusiastic about the menu offerings, and their recommendations were both knowledgeable and helpful. Njorden should undoubtedly be on your list of must-visit restaurants.

Very good place for a Sunday morning brunch. There is a large buffet (smoked salmon, cheeses, vegetable preparations, etc.) plus verrines served at the table (perfect egg, asparagus soup, etc.). There is also a very good selection of sweet buffets (crumble, madeleine, etc...). Everything we tasted was very well cooked!

Brunch is a real treat. A real trip to Scandinavia.

Good morning, 4 of us tried the brunch last Sunday. In terms of food, everything was very, very good, quality, full of taste, flavors...both the buffet and what arrives at the table, the salty, the sweet, the best, we loved it👍🏻 Small downside on the lack of information. We are told “don’t rush to the buffet, there will be table service” but we don’t explain anything 🙁a little flyer on the table would be nice 👍🏻 We also don't know what we can drink, for example. And the coffee, too bad the coffee maker is small, it's often empty 🥺 and for the price of brunch it's a shame not to have a real coffee 🫣😊 The same goes for apple juice, we ask for a second glass but it’s grape juice and we pay for it on the bill. Paying for my 2nd drink is ok, but the 1st drink is very small 😌 I think that that Sunday the 2 waiters/waitresses were a little overwhelmed but overall, we were satisfied. I recommend 🤪👍🏻 Thanks to the cooks 👍🏻

The Njørden in Aubonne, unforgettable flavors, improbable mixtures, fish and shellfish specialties cooked by a chef straight from the kitchens of Rochat and Violier in Crissier. He puts all his knowledge into his own cuisine, everything is homemade from A to Z.... Dining room furniture, covered in stoneware and gourmet meals, to die for. Highly recommended for fans of fish and seafood to enjoy completely revisited. It was a magical evening of discovery for the palate and the eyes. 🥰🥰🥰

Sober and light “Nordic style” decor

What an experience! Truly perfect from A to Z. The menu concocted by the chef was exceptional, combining finesse, flavor and originality. Absolutely great service with always a smile, a nice little word without forgetting an impeccable knowledge of the dishes, the wines, the history linked to each dish. The chef who comes at the end of the service goes around the tables to greet each guest and explain his background and his cuisine. And the least we can say is that he has understood everything about what customers now want: yes eating well is important but in the end what could be more profound and striking than finding yourself immersed in a culture, in a universe in its own right, in the childhood memories of a chef, in a colorful experience. All these attentions combined in this warm place at the height of the Nordic atmosphere, made this meal and this moment unforgettable which will certainly remain firmly anchored in our memory and our taste buds for a long time! Very nice restaurant in the center of Aubonne. Brunch at 58 CHF on Saturday. I just came for a coffee (4 CHF) and I was not very well received. We finally agreed to just serve me a red fruit brioche (4CHF). The service is polite but pretentious. I will not come back. (Price as of 9/24/2022)
