North Wall in Zermatt

Extremely disappointed with the lack of attention to detail from the servers. I sat for approximately an hour, completely ignored while the servers were hopping around the restaurant. Granted, they were exceptionally busy since there were two servers managing approximately 100 people, but still outrageous. Please get more staff if you’re going to take on this many tables.

It’s hard to find a reasonably priced meal in Zermatt but here you can have pizza and beer for under 40 euros. Great service too.

Never actually ate here. Wanted to. But you’re not open in a tourist Mecca. If I come back and you’re open, probably won’t go. You’re seriously not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays? You have tourists year round. Every day of the week.

The atmosphere here was great; the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. The buold your own pizza option was not only better value than other pizza places in Zermatt, but also delicious! It's the perfect place for a relaxed, hearty meal and a drink after a long day on the slopes.

Pizza, beer. That's it. Both delicious and affordable for Zermatt standards. (Okay, maybe there's something else to drink too :D) Nice staff, overall a cool and down-to-earth bar away from the chic and apres-ski hustle and bustle :)

Hands down best pizzas in town however you might want to get there early otherwise you’ll have to wait quite a bit before being served. Great friendly staff too! Would definitely call it one of the hidden gems of Zermatt!

The pizzas were excellent!! You can make your own pizza, the idea is great. A little disappointed with the choice of beer for a bar. I was also expecting more atmosphere for a Saturday evening. I highly recommend for the pizzas!

Came here for the pizza, and it was amazing. You can choose, what ingredients you want, on top of Margherita pizza. Try their nachos also, turns out that the salsa taste is unique and tasty. If you got chance to talk with David, just hear his story about this place

The best pizza you can find in Zermatt!

Go here for pizza whilst in Zermatt! We live in NYC so are used to having great pizza. This was up there with some of the best. It’s a cozy restaurant and has a good drink selection. You pick your own toppings which is great and the cheesy garlic bread was a nice appetizer! If I was in Zermatt any longer I would definitely come back here.

MUST TRY pizza place. Delicious and they make it right in front of you. The weekly special, with ricotta and butternut squash and carmelized onions, was to die for! And the brownies were incredible too, even my fiancé (who dislikes chocolate generally) was a huge fan.

This place is a little off the beaten path so it’s not crowded! Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating, outside is a low key patio with views of the Matterhorn. Pizza is the main food option and it was really good. Prices were reasonable. The staff was attentive and the food was made quickly.

So accommodating fresh wonderful food best service fun and friendly staff most of all the food is top notch!!

If Neopolitan style pizza is what you're looking for, you must try North Wall. The neat pizza in Zermatt without a doubt. Service and atmosphere are great too.

Loved this restaurant…..such a fun and comfortable atmosphere. A throwback to the hippy 1960’s culture which was great and I figure pretty unique in Zermatt. The pizza and nachos were great. Would return in a heartbeat!

Popped in for a beer. Found an ace craft beer selection, good vibes, chill music, great smelling fresh pizza (though we didn't eat) and a team of lads from the UK just doing their thing in fine fashion. The fact half of them were from the same town we live in was a great small-world-moment. Highly recommend.

Top! There's pizza and salad - that's it. Two more small snacks. Pizza Margherita as the basis, you choose the other ingredients yourself. Simple, very nice staff and the pizza is GREAT!!! What I didn't like was that it seemed like the staff only spoke English. If someone doesn't speak English, it might be more difficult. On the other hand, you tick the ingredients for the pizza on a piece of paper. So it should work. Be sure to visit - reserve in advance

I’ve lived in Switzerland for 2 years now and this is the best pizza I found. The base pizza in margarita and you can customize to how you desire. They only do pizza and salad so if you want something else you’re out of luck. Decent service. We sat inside as the weather was bad but it looks like they have a nice outdoor seating area too. Good beer selection. Highly recommend.

Very tasty pizza. A lively atmosphere. They have only margarita pizza but you can customise with as per your choice toppings. We ordered Margarita Pizza with extra toppings. I also ordered ginger beer and nachos. There was some confusion and they brought us the cheese nachos but when we told them we ordered simple nachos they quickly replaced it. The salsa sauce is fresh, home made and delicious. Pizza is very delicious, freshly made, the sauce is yummy and the cheese is wow. Overall we had a very good time, The quantity was good and we shared one pizza between the two of us.

Coming from brewery lovers this was a perfect stop for us. We sat upstairs in the rooftop outdoor bench that did not require reservations. We enjoyed the specialty pizza and the green salad. Good selection of beers - some on tap with some local beers in a bottle. It was a perfect spot to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Chill vibes.

Supper down to earth place with amazing pizza!

Pizza were cooked perfectly, however I ordered a Hugo and the drink was very weak, it tasted like water. Wouldn’t recommend the mixed drinks but the pizza was delicious.

After reading so many reviews I visited the place , nothing exciting, prices were slightly high , quality of food was basics .. Not hygienic, waiters were wiping there hand on their jeans , the chef preparing pizza was using the broom to clean the floor and without washing the hands he started to prepare food , no gloves used by anyone..The pizza served was burned on the sides .. after such a high price of a small basic pizza ,19£, you have to pay for extra for each add ons.

Not nearly as expensive as some of the other places in Zermatt but still AMAZING pizzas. The atmosphere and vibe of the roof upstairs is just unbeatable for sunset!

My lodge was down the street from the North Wall Bar & this was a life saver for me during my 4 day stay. The pizza is made fresh and is ready in less than 10 minutes, I can't rave enough about how amazing their pizza is. They make a Chili pepper oil that is out of this world & even shared the recipe with me so I may make it in the States, "Thank You". The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. If you find yourself in Zermatt this is a must, plus the prices are great especially when everything in Zermatt is, well expensive.

A really nice place, very different from Zermatt Paillette. It's chill, the pizzas are really good and the pints are 7Chf with a view of the Matterhorn on the rooftop.

After Khaikin, 16 km away, there was only one thought, to find cold beer, or better yet, a whole brewery) passing by this establishment, it just caught my eye that they have good beer, we decided to Google it, it turned out that in addition to beer they offer pizza and good emotions. There is a great atmosphere on the terrace, pleasant music is playing, and the pizza turned out to be excellent. Beer is also good. But the atmosphere itself, as well as the presence of a ping pong table... It was great! Our legs found a second life in 10 games!!! You guys are top!

We were there for the second time. The food is great, the service is very friendly, the price (for Zermatt conditions) is more than OK. But you have to be aware: The only main course is pizza, which you can put together yourself, plus a small selection of starters and desserts. The restaurant is a bit alternative. We really liked it and can only recommend it. Again and again.

We visited The North Wall Bar on our last day in Zermatt, and what a tasty dinner it was! It’s a simple place with only pizza in the menu and some starters that I would love to try some other time. I loved that they only offer Margherita pizza and then a wide variety of toppings if you want or valid also if you don’t. We ordered one Margherita with spicy salami, arugula, onions and black olives. The other one with cherry tomatoes and goat cheese. I was really surprised with the tomato sauce, so tasty! The dough was also airy and with a nice thickness balance between edges and the actual pizza pie. They also offer the spicy oil which in fact was spicy. We had a lovely time, they have nice wines, beers and definitely a nice vibe, the staff is super nice and will definitely recommend to anyone reading this review.

Fantastic pizza! Ordered the mixed green salad (very good…for a salad), the garlic cheesy bread (fantastic), cheesy nachos (fantastic), and the pizza (totally loved it). The crust was soft and fluffy and a little bit crispy at the same time. It’s about a 14” hand stretched pizza. We added spicy sausage and shaved parmesan cheese. Excellent all the way around.

I’ve been lucky enough to eat pizza at two of the worlds top 10 pizza restaurants in Italy and the time we spent eating at The North Wall was honestly just as nice (especially the service). The dough is fantastic, the sauce is sensational and the simple ingredients are perfect. Don’t be put off by building your own, ask the team here to help you. We were exhausted after a full day of hiking and sight seeing the Matterhorn and the massive beers, pizzas and Nachos were all top notch and the service was beyond amazing. Would recommend 10/10 and I when back in Zermatt will visit again.

Delicious make your own pizza. We were looking for somewhere to eat on the first day we arrived in Zermatt and most places were closed. The kind bartender here helped us get some pizzas made even though their kitchen was closed!

It has a really homey, unpretentious feel & doesn’t feel touristy, which for us was ideal. The staff are very friendly and offer great suggestions. We may have had the best cheesy garlic bread ever. Making your own pizza is unique & fun and you’re bound to love it considering the dough it comes on. Extra bonus? Super affordable! A must visit

This place was great! Very warm and welcoming service. Felt family owned and run. The nachos was a surprise hit, loaded with cheese and fired in their oven. The house made salsa was also unique and tasty (filled with toasted mustard seeds, cumin seed etc.). The pizza’s were great and fully customizable. Would recommend the Margherita.
