Really fantastic food for a canteen! There are three varied menus to choose from every day. Otherwise there is a cold and warm buffet. The prices are also completely reasonable. I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

I think one of the best company canteens around. Single dishes starting from 12 francs. Good and accessible even to those who are not PSI employees. Perhaps they could improve the offer for vegans/vegetarians in terms of variety.

Canteen food with canteen ambience. Very loud. No soundproofing measures visible. But definitely one of the better ones.

There are three different menus, one of which is vegetarian. Or you can put something together from the great buffet - particularly recommended if you follow a gluten-free diet, for example. In summer you can also enjoy your meal in the sun on the terrace. The Oasis staff ensure that everything is always tidy and are very friendly.

Bei unserem Besuch im PSI nahmen wir Senioren/innen unseren Lunch in der Oase ein. Wieder einmal das Gefühl, ein Personalrestaurant live zu erleben hat wirklich Spass gemacht. Die Qualität meines Menus, Suppe, Salat, Braten mit Kartoffelstock und etwas Gemüse hat perfekt gepasst. Auch das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist meines Erachtens absolut in Ordnung. Dies zeigte auch die Frequenz in diesem Betrieb, kaum ein Stuhl war leer.

It belongs to the category that swiss people call "Mensa". I give it 5 starts however, because I've been there 4-5 times and every single time I'm positively surprised by their offering. They'd have some more special dishes, which you typically don't find in mensas. Taste is also good, price also fair.

Expensive, but good for a workplace canteen. I removed one star because you have to pay cash and there is no ATM close by (the closest is more than 30 minutes walk away).

Quality restaurant with good choices available daily. The prices are slightly high but that is typical of Switzerland, especially considering there are hardly other options around. The 3 daily meals offer good variety and when nothing suits, the buffet and salad selection is there too. the location is quite good with option to eat outside and play ping pong afterwards.

Food is quite cheap, but if you bring your own, there is only 1 microwave

This place is a canteen of quality in a very nice building. The employees were quite friendly and some of them speak english. I recommend this place when working at PSI but the opening hours have to be check especially during the weekend.

This is the personnel mensa of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), a large research centre employing thousands. However, it is open access - you may eat here even if you have nothing to do with PSI, paying the same price. They offer several fixed menus as self-service (tray and pay) but also a "business lunch" menu - with table service. The quality of the food has nothing to envy to that of most restaurants in the region, the prices however are much lower (around 10 to 25 CHF). Only snag - it is closed in weekends and after 8 pm. In summer, two ample terraces looking on the Aare river make the place particularly pleasant. If you happen to be in the region, it is a good option for a lunch or early dinner.
