Wir waren zu 10 plus Hund fürs Mittagessen. Die vorgängige Reservation war einfach per Mail möglich. Die Bestätigung ist leider nicht angekommen, aber telefonisch auf Nachfrage wurde es dann bestätigt.Die Stühle waren aufgrund des kälteren Wetters mit Fellen oder Decken ausgelegt und gegen den Nieselregen waren wir durch die Markise geschützt.Auch der Hund hat einen Wassernapf bekommen. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und gut bedient. Das Essen (Burger, Pizza, Walliser Rösti) und der Wein (Johannisberger) waren sehr fein.

August, Hochsaison. Wir waren zweimal dort. Die Terasse ist beliebt und Reservierung daher empfohlen. Das klappt prima, einfach anrufen, entweder persönlich oder auf den Anrufbeantworter aufsagen, beides probiert und hat zuverlässig funktioniert.Die Karte ist vielseitig, mein Rahmschnitzel war beide Male lecker, mit der traditionellen Frucht oben drauf. Wie in den 70er bereits dort serviert!die Portionen sind groß und die Preise für uns arme Deutsche ;-) angenehm.Wartezeit extrem kurz, fast schon zu schnell...Bedienung erfolgt freundlich und aufmerksam.Passt!

My friends and I stayed here in May and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It goes without saying that Lauterbrunnen is the most beautiful town in all of Switzerland and this hotel made us enjoy it even more. The service was exceptional, Stephen and all the staff there made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious, I had the schnitzel which was huge and some friends had the fondue and said it was the best they've ever had. They have a very nice selection of alcohol as well including local stuff! Beds were super comfy and the rooms all very spacious. I would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone planning on staying in the area!

We were in Hotel Oberland in Lauterbrunnen from the 19.09-20.09 for a little Weekend chillout. The Food was like from another Planet. Absolutly delicious. I will always have the Pumpkinsoup in my mind. But just like i said, i want to say it again, the Food was crazy!! The Team is just perfect. Very Kind, always happy, very courteous, like a good team has to be. The Hotel is right at the Mittle in Lauterbrunnen with a direct look at the Jungfraujoch, the big Waterfall and all the other Mountains. The Rooms are clean, nice decorated and they're inviting to stay longer. We will definitely come back again. Hopefully sooner as planed.

We visited for a dinner having the fondue and it was great. Big portion, variety of stuff to dip into the cheese. Staff very nice and friendly.

Achtung Anfangs 2019 gab es einen Besitzerwechsel, die Neuen sind nicht mehr so gut. Wir waren zum Essen da und leisteten uns 2 teurere Flaschenweine weiss & rot es wurden nur Weissweingläser milchig trüb serviert. Wir wiesen darauf hin. Antwort es hat keine Rotweingläser wir müssen zuerst abwaschen! 5 Minuten später fand man plötzlich Gläser. Das Fondue war im einen der beiden Caquelon angebrannt, was sich im Geschmack bemerkbar machte. Die Serviceangestellte lief jeweils schnaubend weg und klopfte sich wütend auf die Beine, wenn wir sie auf die Mängel hinwiesen. Man stellt deutlich fest die Kunden sind nur kurz in Lauterbrunnen da muss ich mir keine Mühe geben, morgen kommen ja Neue.

Nous avons dîner à ce restaurant pour quatre personnes. Le service est très rapide. La nourriture est simple, délicieuse, et de belles portions. Tout le monde a apprécié ce qu’ils avaient commandé. En plus, les prix sont très très corrects par rapport aux prix habituel en Suisse. Nous reviendrons certainement !

Delicious food, great service, and one of the best mountain views ever, especially during the last one hour before sunset when there is a light show happening along the mountain. Rosti - potatoes fried to perfection and topped with options of delicious cheese, beef sauce or bacon. Absolutely delicious. Shrimp Asian rice - no idea how the shrimps are so fresh high up in the mountain, but tasted gorgeous in the perfect thai like sauce

The dining atmosphere is grand, we ate both on the front patio and in the garden, and the food was wonderful. We were there for a full week so we got to try almost everything, the fondue, the rosti (traditional Swiss dish), the pasta dishes the salads and the desserts and all of it was great. My son particularly loved choosing from the vast dessert card and my personal favourite were the rosti! The place was packed every night it was open and it's easy to see why! Bravo! We will be back!

Très bel acceuil et un personnel à l'écoute. Changement d'un plat et des bières trop plates à notre goût.Cuisine standard, rien d'exceptionnel dans les choix que nous avons fait. Peu de choix végétarien ou végan.Très occupé, même en semaine. Réservation recommandée, mais difficile à obtenir via téléphone.

Für mich ist das Essen gutes Mittelmaß. Gemäss Aussage der Homepage hätte ich mehr erwartet. In Lauterbrunnen haben wir bessere Küchen erlebt. Für gut bürgerlich ist‘s Ok.

Endlich nach Corona wiedereinmal Gäste würde man meinen ! Ja nun, falsch gelegen. Auf der Speisekarte an der Strasse wird die gesamte Karte gezeigt aber beim Platznehmen wird uns in gebrochenem Deutsch erklärt dass es heute Montags nur die ‘Nachmittagskarte’ gibt. Pizza und Salat also. Auf einer Schiefertafel sind die Restriktionen und was es wann/zu welcher Zeit gibt so kompliziert dargestellt dass niemand drauskommt. Nun ich habe zwar mit einer volleren Auswahl gerechnet und mich nach einer langen Wanderung auf was deftiges gefreut.... der Salat war korrekt aber die 4 Formaggi Pizza pampig. Ab 20:30h kamen sicher ein Dutzend Gäste die alle weggewiesen wurden - es sei eben Montag und man schliesse eben um 21h. Man kann über soviel Bequemlichkeit und Mittelmässigkeit nur den Kopf schütteln. Professionelle Gastronomie und Gästeorientiertheit sieht anders aus !

Das Restaurant liegt an der Straße und hat vorm Haus genügend Parkplätze. Die warme Küche gibt es ab 11:30 Uhr. Die Gerichte sind sehr lecker und die Portionen sind gross genug. Freundliches Personal und sehr empfehlenswert.

Popped down for dinner from Wengen on a rainy evening. We had a lovely table in the restaurant, which is cosy and has a nice atmosphere. We were quickly served drinks and we began our meal with salads, which were delicious. We chose a nice bottle of red and began our mains - lamb chops and veal. Both were delicious, but the lamb in particular was absolutely perfect - highly recommended.Service throughout the evening was impeccable, and when the time came to settle the bill our meal proved to be very good value for money. Thank you Oberland team, see you next time!

I am not a fan of mushrooms, but I even dipped them in the fondue, it was that good!!! Staff is very accommodating & seated us right away even though we had no reservation. Dessert was just as good!

I would just like to start off my review by saying, this is without a doubt the best restaurant I have ever been to in my life. The staff are beyond welcoming and kind and the food is incredible. I have been to this restaurant many times over the years, and they have never failed to astound me with their delicious food. I highly recommend the Oberland Rosti, Apfel Strudel and of course the cheese fondue. The food comes quickly and at a great standard. I ave been very fortunate on many occasions to get one of the many outside seating tables, which has just made my meals always ten times better, with that glorious view. Getting my meal is always the highlight of my day and I will definitely return to this beautiful village and restaurant ASAP.

We stayed in the hotel, and every night ate in the hotel restaurant. Not because it was easy, in fact we investigated the other restaurants around but nothing else was as outstanding as the menu at Oberland. The food was amazing and such a range to chose from. We loved it!!

Unsere Gruppe übernachtete im Hotel Oberland. Wir fanden die Speisekarte ziemlich gut für ein so kleines Restaurant. Das Essen war gut zubereitet, traditionell. Unsere Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Obwohl unsere Gruppe ziemlich groß war, hatten alle einen recht prompten Service, der Spaß machte. Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dem Frühstücksraum. Wenn Sie dort bleiben, ist die Auswahl großartig, sehr schöner Kaffee, der von der Tasse mit vielen verschiedenen Optionen zubereitet wird. Schöne frische Früchte, Müsli, Käse und Brot.

Ich kam auf ein paar Drinks vorbei, fragte nach dem WLAN-Code und eine sehr hilflose Dame sagte, sie habe kein WLAN. Die Verbindung, die ich auf meinem Telefon sah, war ihre persönliche, das Hotel und das Restaurant haben kein WLAN. Sehr lustig, da sie auf ihrer Website werben, dass sie diesen Service haben, seien Sie also vorsichtig, wenn Sie WLAN benötigen, um es im Hotel Oberland zu bekommen, oder vielleicht auch, wenn sie in besserer Stimmung ist! !

Die Mittagszeit ist sehr gut mit einer entspannten Atmosphäre, das Abendessen ist ausgezeichnet und es ist am besten zu buchen, da es sehr voll wird, die Angestellten sehr hilfsbereit sind und obwohl sehr viel Zeit für ein Wort haben. Es gibt auch eine sehr gute Auswahl an Weinen.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Abendessen hier. Es war Mitte Januar und es gab nur sehr wenige andere Gäste, so dass keine Reservierungen erforderlich waren. Die Pastinakensuppe war großartig. Sie hatten auch genug vegane und vegetarische Speisen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist auch toll, wenn Sie im Hotel übernachten.

Zunächst einmal haben sie nur etwa 8 Tische. . Machen Sie also unbedingt eine Reservierung, da sie Sie ohne zu zögern abweisen werden. Der Service war sehr schnell und gut, aber das Essen war das gleiche wie überall im Tal, durchschnittlich.

We had two different Swiss "schnitzels," one of which was excellent and the other so-so (among other things, the meat was dry and a bit tough). However, breakfasts and the other dinner were excellent. Although the reasons for each are different, we would rate the Hotel Silberhorn Restaurant a bit higher.

Staying in Gimmelwald, we decided to head to Stechelberg to hike the Lauterbrunnen Valley. We went to Trammelbach Falls and continued to Lauterbrunnen. We stopped at Hotel Oberland for a Swiss lunch experience. It did not disappoint!I ordered the Goulash soup which came with bread. Both were delicious. Best soup I've had in a long time! Tip: If you want butter, you order it separately. My husband got a traditional Rosti which as far as I can tell, is an excuse for consuming mass calories! Our friends recommended the veggie Rosti but he got the traditional with ham, egg and of course the underlying hash browns. He seemed to enjoy it (licked the plate...)The waiter highly recommended the Black Forest Cake which my husband also managed to consume to a clean plate standard. He said it wasn't too sweet, just right.For a traditional Swiss outdoor cafe experience, I can't imagine a better place than Hotel Oberland!

The Oberland staff are great! They were so nice and helpful, all of them.The room was nice with a beautiful view of the waterfalls.One of the few places in Lauderbrunnen that was open for dinner late at night (be sure to make a reservation).There wasn't a lift, so someone with a disability might not be able to get to the rooms upstairs.The breakfast was good, plus a lunch was packed for us since we were leaving so early on our last morning

I really enjoyed my meal here, I got the vegetable curry and it was delicious! The inside of the restaurant was cozy and felt like a true Swiss experience. I wish I could remember our waitress's name because she was so friendly and had a welcoming smile! Would eat here again.

A very short distance from the train station in Lauterbrunnen sits an amazing little stop for dinner. We stopped after visiting Jungfraujoch, and it was absolutely necessary that we called ahead to make a reservation. Large menu with a wide variety of dishes from the area, greater Europe, and a fair drink menu as well. I had the Swiss menu option with salad, Rösti, and dessert. My fiancée had the raclette and pumpkin soup. We also enjoyed the glühwein, even if it is a bit early for it! I can not recommend stopping here enough. Perfect respite from train rides up and down the mountain while maintaining a scenic view in a quaint city.

My husband and I booked a table in advance, via email, at an outdoor table to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived at the appointed time and were delighted to see our table decorated with fancy napkin holders and a candle. It was such a nice touch! We ordered draft beer and had different platters of rosti. We did have to wait almost 40 minutes for our food which seemed like quite a long time. In addition, my husband received a different kind of rosti than he ordered. We were quite tired after a day of hiking, however, so we did not raise a complaint and the rosti he ate was very good. Overall we had a nice experience!

We were very hungry after the long Schilthorn trip we reached the restaurant at 6:30 pm, Ordered whisky and Indian chicken curry with Asian rice and my wife ordered the vegetable curry with Asian rice .... the quantity was sufficient and the quality was top class. I did not expect them to cook Indian food like that (as it was not an Indian restaurant) but they had prepared it exceptionally well and very tasty!!! Furthermore the prices are reasonable.

This restaurant is a must do but in season you need to book. The food was really good and the service the most friendly we experienced in the valley. A couple of places charge for tap water even if you drink other drinks but this restaurant sensibly states if you order drinks tap water is free. Such a simple thing.

I just wanted to say that we enjoyed our experience at the restaurant very much that we made a second visit during a few days that we were in the area. I could not resist and ordered the same dish for a 2nd time! and still cleaned up the plate :) Wife was happy with freshness of her fish dishes and adored the ice creams with fruits.

If you want to eat here, make your reservations early because it is always sold out by evening, and plan on eating early because everything closes at about 8:30 pm. The food is mostly local style which is filling but not spectacular. The service is very good and friendly though and was probably our favorite thing about the restaurant.

Food was good but when I got in the middle of my meal I found a public hair. When I approached a staff member they got very aggressive, and five males approached me. They were angry wouldn’t change my meal and when I asked for the bill they changed me for food I didn’t receive. I would never go there again I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant as staff are violent and made my kids cry with their aggressiveness they showed. They fretted me with the police if I didn’t pay for my bill which left me no option to pay.

Our family of four ate here once, and that was enough. When looking in Lauterbrunnen, this restaurants is listed as one of the best options, and accordingly was packed. The food was average at best, and did not live up to the hype considering the price. The pizzas were decent but the fondue was terrible. The service was mediocre - our waiter came across as impatient and snappy. We did note that he was much friendlier with our neighboring tables of German speakers. Overall, we found this place to be overrated and had much better experiences elsewhere in town.

On both occasions, the typical swiss german dishes were well prepared, tasty and the service was also good.The place seems to get busy in the evening so reservations might be worthwhile, especially if you want to eat outside.

不愧是Lauterbrunnen排名第二的餐厅，风景和食物都很棒！我们一家三口没有预约先被告知没有位置了。后来可能看我们带着孩子不忍心，一个男服务生说有一桌预约的8点，如果我们能在8点前吃完就可以进来，惊喜！而且是户外的景观位，太美了！并且上菜前还给了孩子涂色画纸打发时间，很贴心！菜品我觉得也很不错，不腻不咸热乎乎的刚刚好，我们刚从山上下来吃着觉得很满足。黑森林蛋糕里面是加了酒的。

The food here was very good and we decided to have dinner here twice because of the large variety on the menu. The food is mainly local Swiss options which were great - bratwurst, Rosti, schnitzel.

We tried this place and had to come back for a second meal (the next day). This is a great little establishment, bustling without rushing folks through their dinner. Make reservations for outside seating! We tried Swiss traditional food here and really enjoyed it. MUST (take a pill if lactose intolerant and) save room for the ice cream or desserts. Definitely include this restaurant in your stay here.

Service here at Hotel Oberland restaurant was just brilliant. All of the waitresses & waiters, including the owner were so attentive to all of our requests & helpful. The food was of a very high standard and they had a fantastic selection of Swiss dishes. Especially loved both their Salmon & Veal dish.

This is a nice restaurant with a nice offering of Local Swiss food and good Fondue. Nice beers on tap. Large group for dinner and a crowded restaurant resulting in slow service. The wait staff was nice but very busy. We dinned inside and the room was extremely warm. The Rosti was good. I would recommend dinning here on a less busy night.

We rewarded our 12 mile hike with a dinner of Fondue. The food and service was great. We ordered the extra creamy version on recommendation of our Rick Steves tour guide, who spoke highly of this restaurant experience. You definitely want to make a reservation. I was surprised with the number of non-tourists eating here. It was good enough that we made a reservation for the following night. My wife had the Rosti special... amazing!

The title says it all. Get a reservation! This restaurant sold out 2 if the 3 nights we stayed. We enjoyed the Rosti dishes, the Caesar salad and the Swiss Chocolate Dream dessert that we shared.

We dined here after a lovely day of sighting in Lauterbrunn, Mirren and the Trummelbach falls. We had the special fondue with 5 different cheeses as an appetizer and then ordered the Rosti and Spatzel. The fondue was delicious! The best dish was the spatzli with sun dried tomatoes, peas and Gruyere cheese. It was creamy and very flavorful. I wanted to try the Rosti as I had never tasted it before so I ordered the one with bratwurst and onion gravy. Rosti is basically hash brown potatoes. It was good but not something I would order again. The waitress was very nice and recommended the chocolate dessert with cake, mousse, ice cream and whip cream. It did not disappoint and the plate was left spotless! I would definitely recommend having dinner at Oberland while visiting Lauterbrunn.

The restaurant has a great food - specially fondue - and the service was excellent. For families with kids is best place as the kids receive a paper to draw. This means adults has time to order food and have conversations. Up to 4 people is recommended to book a table.

We visited this restaurant because of all the Gluten Free Fondue reviews on Trip Advisor. Perhaps it was our fault that we didn’t call ahead but the server seemed shocked we even asked and it did not seem to be a thing. I am celiac so we were very excited to find a spot that would accommodate my allergy and a place I could enjoy authentic Swiss Fondue, but no such luck. I ended up with the Rosti, which was fine but I could’ve gotten it anywhere in the area. We were disappointed in the lack of gluten free options. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, however it was not the one we ordered - the server realized almost immediately after it was poured and apologized for the mistake, which we appreciated. The bottle was less expensive than the one we ordered so of course she charged us less. The service overall was fine, servers were friendly and kind. I would recommend making a reservation here, as it certainly gets busy- we lucked out and they were able to seat us despite not having a reservation. There were several families enjoying meals so it seems it would be a good spot for families.

Guest card provided for a discount on the dinner special and we were not disappointed in our choice. Both the rosti and bratwurst were well prepared and hit the spot after a day of hiking. Service was most friendly.

My dad didn’t like the fondue because they used Swiss cheese- no surprise there! We lived it. Location was right on the main road centrally located with parking just across the street. They also had English speaking waiters.

This place is situated in the Main Street in Lauterbrunnen and in peak season you are advised to book a table. The staff and food are faultless, I have nothing but praise for this establishment. The owners are more than accommodating in making your dining experience special. I requested a chicken curry with Rosti which wasn’t on the menu... They obliged. If you have an adventurous side, ask for Marks’ special chilli sauce, but be careful as it’s so hot and gorgeous. We’ll be returning next year to Lauterbrunnen and The Oberland will be top of the list for places to eat.

After walking through the Lauterbrunnen Valley with all the beautiful waterfalls my wife and I were looking for a quaint restaurant to eat for lunch. The Oberland Restaurant was just the ticket for a bowl of soup and sandwich. The service was excellent and our waitress made us feel right at home.

They have seating on the patio or inside the restaurant.Staff are very friendly, food is excellent and do try their beer very highly recommended.Kids menu also available, price is moderate but with the food and the service given, it is the best option in Lauterbrunnen.

Lovely little restaurant in lauterbrunnen (apologies for the wrong spelling) . Situalted on the main road between the station and out hotel, camping Jungfrau we ended up at this restaurant simply cause... It was still open at 6:30pm :)We were a group of 8 that had to split up indoors and outdoors Cause the tables were small and were OK with that. The food was decent. Regular Swiss meals at regular Swiss prices (read expensive) but the dessert... Cheese cake was great. Had a good choice of risottos... We went in for the ones with a pork sausage and were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and told us stories about him being from London earlier and Hence was accustomed to large Indian families :)

Had a couple really nice meals at this tasty spot. One lunch and one dinner. The traditional dishes were hearty and large portions. Beer was cold which was great after a long days hike! Definitely recommend! Make reservations for dinner!!

Ursula and Mark are wonderful hosts - we stayed in one of the chalets, and had dinner at the hotel our last night in Lauterbrunnen. We enjoyed a couple of delicious Rosti's - they have a great selection and you'll find something pleasing to any palate. Reasonable prices, good service, and nice views down the valley from the patio. Suggest reservations during the peak season as this place can fill up quickly.

The Trucker Rosti was VERY flavorful & filling! Service was very good. It was quiet when we were there. Prices are very comparable to the area.

They do a very reasonable set menu here with good portion sizes. Husband ordered the carrot & ginger soup off the main menu which was delicious. Waiters speak English and have a good sense of humour! Quite accommodating to squeeze people without reservations in if they can but outside dining needs a reservation as it's very popular.

My husband and I ate here twice in our short time in the Bernese Oberland. The restaurant is located a short walk from the train station in Lauterbrunnen. I called ahead to let the staff know that I eat gluten free, and they provided me with two varieties of gluten free bread to enjoy with the delicious fondue. The rochti was very good, especially the pesto variation. The staff was very accommodating to my dietary needs, and it was much appreciated.

In unserem kurzen Aufenthalt in Lauterbrunnen sind wir am meisten in dieses Restaurant gegangen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Beide Tage habe ich mit der Möhren-Ingwer-Suppe angefangen, und so sehr ich mich auch bemüht habe, sie haben mir das Rezept nicht gegeben. Obwohl das Wetter nicht perfekt war, aßen wir gerne auf der Veranda. Rick Steves war vor ein paar Tagen vorbeigekommen.

Ich bin froh, ein wunderbares Restaurant in diesem schönen Schweizer Dorf direkt an der Hauptstraße zu finden. Sie können die Leute beobachten, während Sie Ihr Fondue oder Raclette oder andere Vorspeisen eintauchen. Die Angestellten sind sehr hilfsbereit und sprechen auch Englisch! Sie müssen ein wenig die Straße runter parken, aber nur einen kurzen Spaziergang. Wir haben hier die andere Nacht gegessen und haben jetzt wieder Reservierungen für heute Abend. Wenn Sie einen Tisch am Gehweg wünschen, müssen Sie eine Reservierung haben.

Wir haben dort jeden Abend für 8 Nächte gegessen, es war so gut. Das Personal war super und sehr freundlich. Alle sprachen Englisch

Wir kehrten nach Lauterbrunnen zurück, da es so wunderschön ist und wir in diesem schönen traditionellen Restaurant gegessen haben. Wir probierten die Schweinewurst in Zwiebelsoße mit Rösti und es war sehr lecker. Gepaart mit einem schönen Bier und was für ein tolles Mittagessen.Guter Service und ein schönes traditionelles Ambiente. Nicht billig aber gut.Sehr empfehlenswert.

퐁듀 대박이라큰 글 보고 왔는데 양주향이 너무 쌔게 났어요. 음식들은 그럭그럭 먹을만하구요. 폭포가 보이는 전망은 아니예요. 개인적으로 카레와 당근 수프는 괜찮았어요.

엄청 추천합니다 그런건 아니고 그냥 동네들렸을때 편하게 먹어볼만한 식당이에요. 주변에 2시넘으면 문여는곳이 없어서 들어왔는데 소소하네요

Seit meinem ersten Besuch in den frühen 1990er Jahren hatte das Hotel Oberland immer das beste Restaurant der Stadt - und glücklicherweise änderte sich dort nichts. "Silvester und keine Tischreservierung, oh was für ein Unglück!Ta der. . . Restaurant Oberland zur Rettung. "Als wir unsere offensichtliche Zwangslage sahen und alle anderen lokalen Betriebe geschlossen oder geschlossen waren, zauberte das Personal sehr schnell ein Essen zum Mitnehmen für uns, und wir waren unterwegs.Wir kamen am folgenden Abend zurück (Neujahrstag und wieder ohne Tischreservierung) und diesmal schafften sie es, uns zwischen den Sitzungen zu drücken.Neben dem offensichtlichen guten Essen und den angemessenen Preisen, ist es der exzellente Service, der das Hotel Restaurant Oberland von der Masse abhebt.Auf die Gefahr der Verallgemeinerung können die Schweizer Außenseitern eher streng und abrupt wirken als in den Talgemeinschaften (wie Lauterbrunnen). Das Personal im Hotel Restaurant Oberland war jedoch alles andere als streng und standhaft. Sie waren tatsächlich das genaue Gegenteil.Danke und beim nächsten Mal. . . Ich werde sicher ein Abendessen reservieren!

We ate at this restaurant the three nights we stayed at Hotel Oberland. Service on the three visits was excellent; attentive and welcoming, with each server speaking very good English.Amongst the meals we ordered were: Australiana pizza, pork schnitzel, grilled pork sausage, golden rosti with seasonal vegetables, and chicken breast. I don’t normally like pork but decided to try the schnitzel anyway and I really enjoyed the dish; I would recommend it. I also had the crème brulee and apple strudel and these were also excellent. The home-made chocolate cake was first class. The ice cream menu is vast, as is the drinks menu.

You need to book at this restaurant but well worth it. We enjoyed 2 nights dinner here. Food excellent, service excellent. What more do you need.

18 of us ate in this restaurant for an evening meal. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and we all had a super evening. We will back later in the year

Visited this restaurant whilst on holiday with our family, and couldn’t have had a better experience. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, the kids were well looked after and the host made us feel so welcome. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Hotel Oberland for 5 nights and ate in the restaurant each night, food is delicious and service is great. Restaurant is quite small so would definitely recommend reserving a table.

Highly recommend the Hotel Oberland Restaurant if you are after traditional Swiss food when in Lauterbrunnen. We were a party of 10 (inc 4 children) looking for somewhere to celebrate a milestone birthday on Boxing Day. After some research, we emailed ahead and Mark, Ursula and Beverly were very accommodating. They looked after us brilliantly, making Mum feel very special for her birthday. The food was delicious; we all went for traditional options including various types of rosti and schnitzels, with sides of spatzli (Swiss pan fried noodles). The “Lauterbrunner” - pork bratwurst and rosti was superb! Despite what other reviews have said we found the serves huge, hearty and very filling. Desserts were all great as well, loved the strudel which we shared between two after a big main meal. The kids were well catered for from a special kids menu and kept happy with spaghetti Napoli, spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets and lots of ice cream options for dessert. Finished off with a Cafe Luz (lutz) to warm up for the cold streets, superb!

The restaurant was convenient as we stayed at the hotel too. The food was okay but portions were small and expensive. But ALL of Switzerland is expensive!!

this is a nice little patio style place... not many in lauterbrunnen. so id recommend... nice views and tasty beers..plus very good deserts... a good place to end your day ... id recommend the local dish..Rosti... ill include a picture.. basically hash brown type potatoes smothered in cheese.. a egg.. onions ect... pretty dam good..haha.. check this place out while in town....

Wir waren im Mai in diesem Hotel und es war wunderbar und urig. Das Restaurant war ausgezeichnet! Das Personal war erstklassig und das Essen war sehr lecker. Ich würde beide wärmstens empfehlen!

Food is excellent quality. The carrot ginger soup was flavorful and had good texture. Good vegetarian options as well. Try the Rosti with Vegetables and Pesto. They made it for us and we loved it. Would visit again if in that area in the future.

Queríamos ir sólo por un café, y nos dijeron que no podíamos sentarnos en el restaurante, sólo en la terraza, en medio de un clima frío, y a pesar que el restaurante estaba vacío... Preguntamos por el internet y nos dijeron que era sólo para la gente que se hospedaba en el hotel, todo esto de mal modo. Servicio pésimo, tuvimos que esperar demasiado sólo por un café y un chocolate, y el precio no lo vale para ese servicio... El punto negro de nuestro viaje a Suiza, donde la gente es demasiado amable

We ended up going to the restaurant every night of our stay in Lauterbrunnen. There was a lot of choice on the menu so you could have a traditional meal if you wanted but there were also options like curry and pizzas. The view from the terrace is really special and the staff were always lovely and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend to other travellers.

We went 2 nights in a row because it was off-season and this was the only place open, however, we were not disappointed. Service was helpful and accommodating. Food was really good. I had the Wild-Sau Ragout (Beef Stew) and the wife had Schnitzel on the first night, and we both had versions of rosti's on the second night. I loved the Ragout, but the wife was all about the Rosti.
