This place is THE place to go for beer in Bern. Unsurpassed quality - these people know how to keep beer as fresh as possible, from supplier all the way to the customer. Nothing sits around too long and there are tons of choices on tap and in cans/bottles. They also have their own great house brews from their brewery Riot Act Brewing. Great music and atmosphere - cosy inside with great outdoor seating in the heart of the historic old part of Bern. The staff is friendly and speaks English fluently which is always nice for a tourist. Also extremely knowledgeable and can help you find exactly what you want to drink. Lastly, the food menu is pared down to the best offerings: meat and cheese boards, daily freshmade foccacia, a variety of amazing tartares, and the best Flammkuchen! No excuse to not try this place out next time you're in Bern.

Three sizes of glasses are available, so you can taste or stench your thirst. The atmosphere is nice, you're in a small cellar type bar.

Spitzenauswahl an Bieren - für absolut jeden was dabei. Auch die Lokalität vermag mit Berner Altstadt-Charme zu überzeugen. Allerdings sind die Preise derart überrissen, dass selbst für mich als Craftbier-Liebhaber und Hobbybrauer das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht stimmt. Es ist toll gibt es kleine Bestellgrössen, was gerade bei Craftbieren durchaus sinnvoll ist wenn man mehrere Biere probieren möchte (die Karte lädt auf jeden Fall dazu ein). Wenn ein 1,5dl aber 4 CHF und (meistens) mehr kostet, ist das schon ein ziemlich kostspieliger kleiner Schluck. Mit den Grössen 2,5dl und 4dl verhält es sich leider genau gleich. Ich unterstütze sehr gerne die lokale Bierszene aber nicht zu solchen Preisen.
