Pasta & More in Lauterbrunnen

Centrally located in Wengen. But there are definitely far too few pasta menus for “Pasta & More”. The organization takes some getting used to. At least we were able to order a fondue at 5 p.m. The cheese was ok so far, but the fondue wasn't hot enough. We had to get it really hot with the table burner. Something special in the evening is that you don't take the seats at the window facing the street first, as that could attract other guests. People don't seem to understand this. So for half the evening you have the feeling that the restaurant is empty. Actually modern decor, very bright during the day with large windows. But somehow not so comfortable. In fact, as others have already noted, the staff speaks German poorly. Some try to speak well and you can feel the motivation to want to learn something. Others seem more “deleted”, which is a shame. Well, conclusion: You don't have to have been here...

Nice experience at Pasta and Moore. The service is very nice and takes care of the guests. The dishes arrive quickly, very good advice about the wine, the pasta is perfectly cooked. We will come back with great pleasure!!!!

Awful restaurant! We went there with a group of six people and not a single dish was decent. The pastas were blunt with too much oil and rather low quality ingredients. Soups were heavy with cream. Extremely disappointing, specially taking relatively high prices (even for Swiss standards). Service was also poor (wrong orders, missing utensils…)

Good evening, I went to eat at this restaurant three times, the food is appropriate for the price. The service is OK (nothing more). However the third time I went there with my pregnant sister. She asked if she could eat the cheesecake and the waitress replied "you should know what you can and can't eat" instead of saying "excuse me but I don't know". Working in catering myself, it is disrespectful to answer this kind of thing. In addition, the cheesecake, which was very good and very beautiful the first time, was botched today. The restaurant is therefore correct but be careful with the choice or the mood of your servers. The place is quite pleasant and well located.

It's actually a shame about the time I'm wasting to write this review, Mc or Kebab would have been better.. Pasta was really bad.. and the shop is called Pasta&More.. However, the wine was good, probably because they didn't make it themselves.

The food at this price is really good, and for those connoisseurs who know about cuisine and cooking, I recommend going to a restaurant where meals are priced at 100 francs - you will be able to enjoy the fantastic flavors there. Best regards and thank you for your nice service. I recommend

Restaurant Pasta & more; Five of us had dinner on a Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. Three dishes were already sold out. Starter the purest disaster! Smoked goat cheese with salad. Goat cheese was inedible! Looked rotten and tasted rancid. Salad with canned beans and ready-made dressing, definitely not enough! Main course pasta. Carbonara had no taste, was oily and had nothing to do with a good carbonara. Spaghetti with tomato sauce was also very poorly seasoned. The sprouts (deco) had a foul taste. Unfortunately, service wasn't really attentive. It's a shame, a shame, because the ambience looked promising... Rarely have I had such a bad meal, no thanks!

We were there twice. On the first day we had something to eat. The food was OK, but it's a shame that when you pay with a card you have to pay different tips starting at 10% and going up. In Switzerland they are Tipper included and mostly only rounded up or if it was very good. You give something voluntarily and you are not in the USA where tipper has 20%, 25% and 30%. That's where you start with this rip-off. On the second day at 4 p.m. we had something to drink and ordered something again. Since we were still waiting for our friends to order food. Then the waiter came to us twice and told us to order something to eat, otherwise we would have to leave again asked the boss because we had already spent over 150 Fr in the restaurant the day before and wanted to complain to him that something like that was an embarrassment. People who drink something want to get rid of it straight away. This restaurant is one of the worst restaurants in Switzerland. Boss has don't let yourself be seen either. It's better to go to another restaurant where the service is better and also speaks German.

I don't think the price-performance ratio is ok. Especially with “Build your own pasta”

spaghetti carbonara??? spaghetti con aqua, parmigiano e guanciale...absolutely not worth mentioning and cannot be enjoyed without additional cheese and that for 24.-...👌

Failure! Food tasteless, salty. The cutlets are burnt, hard and small (an adult man cannot eat enough). The bread for Founde was so hard that it was difficult to stick it on a fork. Hard fries. The service doesn't work. We didn't get any drinking glasses. The quality is completely inadequate for the price. We will definitely not go back there and we do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Waiting time was faaar to long, there were 3 tables, including us, altogether 15 people. It took them at least 15 minutes to bring menus and then another 15 to come back for the order. We ordered only desserts and they came in about 10 minutes, they tasted very good. At the end we didn't receive the bill, but the price which we paid was correct (we had time to count it because we waited for so long) Ambient is very nice, service was very slow, but polite. I can't give more then 3 stars, there definitely is a room for improvement.

The sparribs were burnt and the fries were soggy. The sauce for the pumpkin ravioli was not edible; it had such an extreme honey taste, much too sweet and rose to the nose. The spaghetti with tomato sauce was just spaghetti with water. The carabonara was tasteless and the parmesan costs extra and you could search for it. The venison schnitzel had hard burnt pieces in it and the spaetzle was almost raw, the red cabbage was not red cabbage but a red cabbage puree and stuck to everything and was covered in sugar. Chicken breast was ok but the sauce was a ready-made sauce, cold and the spaetzle came out of the package almost raw on a cold plate. There was no response when the problems were raised.

I ordered Spearips, it was cold, burnt and only fried on the pan and then put in the steamer...not recommended. You have to know.

We visited the restaurant and unfortunately, many things went wrong. Staff was stressed (but friendly once they had time for you), food was ok but one dish was completely cold, so we gave it back to the kitchen, it never came back until we asked the waiters after 15 mins, when the dish finally made it back it still was not warm. Many guests at the tables had similar problems (were not served, wrong dish came, etc.). When we complained, the manager was very cooperative and deleted the cold dish from the bill. They probably had a very bad evening, but I cannot recommend going here.

By far the worst pasta I've eaten in a long time. They have a build-your-own pasta menu and ask for an additional 3.- to add cheese, kind of a rip-off to be honest. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. When the waiter asked me if I wanted to add cheese I told him I didn't need any since I assumed there would already be some in the sauce. The food then came out very quickly. But the spaghetti seemed completely unsalted, slightly overcooked and the carbonara ended up tasting like there was just some cream and some surprisingly bland bacon bits. Maybe I should have decided to pay a bit more for some cheese. But I doubt it would have made the food any more edible. My coworker's truffle "pesto" looked more like a chunky tomato tapenade and was according to him quite horrible too. The more expensive dishes may be better but I wouldn't bet on it based on the fact they can't cook the one thing that's clearly mentioned in their name. I really hope that the people who booked a half pension in the attached hotel get something decent to eat. Otherwise, this might very well ruin someone's vacation.

We had booked half board, which would have been in the other restaurant of the hotel. But since there weren't enough guests at the moment, we had to eat at Pasta and More. The ambience and service there was good. We were able to order a starter, main course and dessert from the menu. Starter salad was ok. For my main course I had Wienerschnitzel with fries and some vegetables. Now plates were cold, vegetables weren't really warm. On the plate there was a ketchup bag like in McDonald's. My wife ordered an Entercote price according to the menu at 49.50, with a really very small gratin and no herb butter, which would be usual. For dessert I ordered a vermicelle which was really very little, 2-3 spoonfuls at the bottom there was more air than anything else. It's a shame you could do more with it because the rest was ok. Table water e.g. Free.

It's not just a hotel but a restaurant too. Not that many people. Food was good and tasty 🤤. Very nice service. Go and enjoy 😉

There are vegetarian options available as well. The staff was friendly and the ambience was amazing.

I had given this restaurant 5 stars four years ago but unfortunately it is no longer worthy of that rating. Okay service, mediocre food. The fondue was awful, it tasted like it came straight out of a prepackaged bag.

AVOID at all costs? Oct 2023• We had a very unpleasant meal here. The order took forever, they completely forgot our appetizer, they brought the wrong drink for BOTE my wife and I. My wife's broccoli casserole was pureed and terrible (slop ona plate) and my order of spaghetti bolognase included a piece of meat which I literally couldn't cut with either of the two knives at the table. They charged 15 Franks for that chunk of integument and I left it untouched (slightly damaged in my initial effort tc cut it before giving up). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Came in looking for a decent meal. First off no fondue available even when it’s all over the menu … no vodka either…. We tried the worst bruschetta we’ve ever had. Terrible stale bread with mushrooms thrown on top. What??! We explained we didn’t like it. And didn’t want to pay for it. They didn’t offer to remake it - and our server decided to just try and make us pay for it at the end, after we had already asked to have it taken off. All we got was 20% off the price of it. No wonder this place is empty. Sad cause it’s a great location. Hopefully the owner does something about this place. It won’t last long operating this way. Gross. And I get the sense that food safety compliance is not a priority. Be careful here

Went here later in the evening on a weekend as most places were closed. It was quite busy so I assumed it would good. Service was decent. We ordered the pasta with truffle pesto and shrimp and the short ribs. The pasta had no flavor, was just oil, and diced tomatoes. No hint of pesto. Short ribs were soft, but insanely salty. Would not come again. Not worth the price.

Today we were served very competently and courteously on the terrace by the serving lady. Please let me know!

Service staff does not speak German. English, Italian, French are main languages. I took a seat at a table for four. Waitress asked if there were four of me. Just me alone said no. She really wanted to sit me at a table for two that was in the blazing sun. Sonnenstore was already fully extended. To eat: Ordered spaghetti with fried giant prawns. Spaghetti was served with 5 unfried small shrimps. Restaurant not recommended in my opinion😩

I visited Pasta & More at the end of a 3 week trip in Austria and Switzerland, so I had already come to expect high prices, but this place was still bad enough to prompt a review. Having hiked for 12 miles throughout the day, I got to the restaurant hungry, and was eventually able to flag someone down to get seated. $30 for a bowl of spaghetti (carbonara) seemed outrageous, but I ordered it believing that at least, for that price (a month's supply, at least), it would be filling. It was not. Instead, I was served a child-sized portion... in fact, it wouldn't have filled me up at a 12 year old. Service was acceptable, by Swiss standards, and the restaurant itself was actually nice an peaceful inside. Still, I'd never go back, if I were hungry.

Waited a very long time for our food, to the point where our waitress was surprised that it hadn't arrived yet. I have a feeling that they completely forgot to put the order in, as we had to continue to wait to be served. The food was fine but nothing special, especially given the prices we paid. The spaghetti with pesto/shrimp was basically swimming in olive oil. The menu on the site is out-of-date and has lower prices than reality, so bear that in mind. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing. Nice spacious restaurant with modern decor. Limited menu. Salad included very dirty lettuce leaf. Spaghetti with prawns had 5 small dry over-cooked prawns on top and non in the body. Service was soon overstretched even though they weren't even half full. Could be so much better.

Wandered in for a meal. Old fashioned was slightly sweet, but still good. Caesar salad was amazing (ask for light dressing). Would come again. A friend recommended it AFTER I had already been, so I knew I was in good company. Ask to sit outside — better ambiance. I had to sit alone inside (waiter forgot about me until others had to start to sit inside.)

The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice view. The dishes are quite good. The staff are smiling and there is no hope of them smiling. I don’t know if it is a habit to count them or not. The day I came to pay, I had 5 francs left for me. My beloved withdrew it from how he wanted it with a tip. The day I told him I had money left, he returned it to me and he started smashing into the German 🤣 If you are in a hurry, do not sit down because the order is so late that you will forget to eat

The staff seem run off their feet but are quite friendly. We arrived at 7 and ordered within 10mins, but it was 7:40pm before we asked and they realised they hadn’t submitted the order and had to do it again. Somehow adding an extra 4 drinks to our order and not removing it before we asked for the bill delayed us even further. Thankfully the food came out quickly after we had ordered. The carbonara sauce seemed to have separated and was a bit pasty, the bacon bits had no flavour to them. The pesto with prawn was also bland and didn’t have much of a pesto taste.

We had dinner here. In itself the dishes were ok. We had a salad, pasta and meat dish. Tasty but not really good. The portions are rather small and the food very simple. So in terms of price/quality ratio it was much below what we expected. For example a small plate of spaghetti with tomato sauce and literally nothing else for 26,50 is really overpriced.

Una gran sorpresa en este pueblito. La comida muy buena pero lo mejor del restaurante es el ambiente tan agradable y el servicio tan rápido y adaptado a familias. La comida de la niña llegó en 5 minutos y la trajeron además para pintar y tenerla entretenida. Esto salió de la camarera sin tener nosotros que preguntarlo.Tienen un pequeño sitio de juegos donde la niña pudo jugar al terminar de cenar.Estuvimos súper a gusto y volveríamos sin ninguna duda

Me and my partner visited the beautiful town of wengen the first weekend of October and luckily we found this exquisite restaurant in the middle of the village. The food was delicious and I must say the orrechietti and risotto were the bet we've ever had. Our Spanish waitress (didn't catch her name) was so welcoming and had a wonderful sense of humor that made us feel right at home!! We definitely reccomend this restaurant and hopefully will be able to visit again soon!

Von Anfang an fühlten wir uns sehr wohl im "Pasta & More". Dazu beigetragen haben natürlich die beiden Kellnerinnen Maria und Trin: Charmant, aufmerksam und witzig kümmerten sie sich um unser Wohl! Das Essen war frisch, sympathisch präsentiert und sehr lecker.Das Ambiente war angenehm und bis in die Details sorgfältig gestaltet.Dieses Restaurant ist unbedingt empfehlenswert.

The place is very nice and the waiter was really kind. But the pasta was really disappointing which is surprising for a pasta restaurant. It was way overcooked (italian, pass you way !) and the sauces were not to our taste. A lot of garlic in the carbinara sauce, too bad... and the pesto sauce was too salty and quite bad. Don't recommend this place.

Gute Küche, mit einigen Pastegerichten aber auch anderem. Sympathischer Chef, helles, offenes Restaurant auf zwei Halbstöcken (den schönen Garten konnten wir leider witterungsbedingt nicht nutzen, wäre es aber wert!). Preis / Leistung für uns tiptop.

Quand on rentre dans la salle du restaurant à 20hr et qu’on aperçois direct la serveuse responsable de salle regarder sa montre, ça donne la température ...Cela s’est confirmé dès les premiers contacts où j’ai dû la calmer car je n’ai pas l’habitude de me faire traiter comme un pestiféré surtout lors ce que je m’apprête à dépenser beaucoup dans un restaurant qui se veut « sélect ». Elle a alors essayé de contenir tant bien que mal son stress et ses réactions désobligeantes pour le reste du service.Un conseil à cette personne et à sa direction : n’oubliez jamais que c’est grâce aux touristes que vous vivez ! Je précise que la salle du restaurant était pratiquement vide, mais qu’est-ce que ça doit être en pleine saison de ski quand c’est bondé .

We had salads for lunch here. The service was great, our German waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The Heidi Salad with goat cheese was especially delicious. All in all a very good option for lunch in Wengen.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant while we were staying in Wengen on a walking holiday.The restaurant is located on Dorfstrasse and is easily found as you walk up this main road of the village. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who was exceedingly helpful to us. The menu has a good selection of different dishes and caters well for all appetites and tastes including vegetarian. We shared a beef carpaccio as a starter and this was delicious and well presented. For our main dishes my wife had a chicken dish with risotto rice and I had vegetarian ravioli which were excellent. These were well complemented by a Swiss Riesling. Finally for dessert we had a cherry chocolate cake and chcolate mousse which we shared as both were delicious. Throughout our visit the service was excellent and friendly. Medium sized restaurant with only 2 people serving when I visited so waited a while to be acknowledged and then felt they were not too bothered as I was just on my own. Food was nothing special and not particularly tasty, I had hoped that the local version of macaroni cheese would be much better than it was.

Popped in for a light bite to eat in the evening. As a veggie, there often is not many options in Swiss restaurants, so it was nice that there was a bit more choice here ( at least 4 different pasta meals without meat). Service was a little slow, but the food was lovely and the staff were helpful. If time had allowed, would have returned for a more substantial meal on another occasion.

L’accueil est assez sympathique mais un certain stress est ressenti d’entrée.Le service continue sous le stress mais fait en sorte de ne pas trop le montrer.Les plats sont de bonne facture et répondent aux attentes.Un peu long mais bon pour résumer.

My 3 kids and myself we were all impressed by Pasta and More Restaurant- reservation was easy to make on the phone (very attentive and patient), once we came in we’ve got a friendly welcome and have been served rapidly. The ambiance is very pleasant - my teenagers were totally impressed! Thank you!

Leider waren die Gerichte nicht wirklich "ahmächelig", alles wurde sehr lieblos angerichtet. Dies verschlug leider fast den Appetit (schwamm teils im Fett, die Sauce war nicht wirklich identifizierbar usw.). Somit kann man fast von Glück sprechen, dass die Portionen nicht sehr gross ausgefallen sind... Preislich lohnt es sich somit erst recht nicht.

Le service peut être moyen car nous avons attendu plus de 30 minutes pour être servi et avec quelqu’un qui n’était pas aimable. La qualité du repas est ok si vous êtes pressé mais n’attendez pas l’expérience culinaire

Te pueden sacar de un apuro, no es el mejor ni el más auténtico de Wengen, pero está muy bien, sobre todo con niños,amplio, limpio y una mezcla de comida italiana y suiza muy correcta, el precio no es de los más altos, pero no olvides que estás en Suiza.

Wir waren hier auf einen Drink, weil wir was zu besprechen hatten. Freundliches Personal und angenehmes Ambiente

gegenseitig zur strasse befindet sich eine kleine, aber voll von der sonne beschienene terrasse, wo man herrlich zum beispiel kaffee trinken und sich sonnen kann, wenn sie denn scheint.

Wir haben letzte Woche am Montag Abend für 6 Personen reserviert. Zu Beginn waren wir zu viert und wollten uns einen Apéro gönnen bis die letzten zwei Personen dazu stossen. Am Tisch wurden wir leider während ca. 10 Minuten weder beachtet noch bedient. Jegliche "Kontaktaufnahme" mit der Kellnerin scheiterte. Erst als ein Herr kam (Geschäftsleiter?) wurden wir von ihm wahrgenommen und wir konnten einen Apéro bestellen. Als die Kellnerin die Bestellung der Hauptspeisen aufnahm äusserte mein Schwiegervater den Wunsch, anstelle von Reis Teigwaren zu erhalten. Dies wurde von der Kellnerin kritisch aufgenommen, da die Küche laut ihrer Aussagen nicht gerne Extrawünsche umsetzt. Als mein Schwiegervater darauf hinwies, dass Teigwaren kein Extrawunsch seien, da in anderen Menüs auf der Karte Teigwaren als Beilagen angeboten wurde, bekamen wir schnippische Antworten von der Kellnerin. Und welch Wunder: es war möglich Teigwaren zu bekommen (Danke an die Küche).Weiter ging es damit, dass ich während dem Verzehr meiner Vorspeise den Hauptgang serviert bekommen habe (als Einzige am Tisch). Ich wies die Kellnerin freundlich darauf hin, dass ich noch an der Vorspeise sei und der Hauptgang kalt werde bis ich ihn essen könne. Weiter fände ich es schade, wenn ich als einzige von 6 Personen bereits meinen Hauptgang essen müsse. Als Antwort bekam ich genervte Aussagen wie "Die Küche war zu schnell" "Sie könne jetzt auch nichts dafür" "Der Hauptgang sei jetzt halt schon fertig" usw. Als ich von ihrer unfreundlichen & unprofessionellen Art ebenfalls genervt war und ergänzte, dass das nicht mein Problem sei, verdrehte sie die Augen und stampfte wütend zurück in die Küche. Ich durfte danach beobachten wie sie sich mit dem Geschäftsleiter (?) über unseren Tisch auslies und darüber gelacht wurde.Mein Hauptgang wurde nicht neu angerichtet und so bekam ich verkochte Teigwaren. Den Rotwein "durften" wir dann auch selber einschenken, da dies vom Service nicht gemacht wurde. Ich bin mir darüber im Klaren, dass die Arbeit im Service anspruchsvoll ist. Ich habe auch wahrgenommen, dass die Kellnerin für den unteren Bereich alleine zuständig war, was sicherlich stressig sein kann. Wieso aber so unfreundlich (genervt, zickig, schnippisch) mit der Kundschaft gesprochen wird oder die Augen verdreht werden... dafür habe ich keinerlei Verständnis.

Accueil chaleureux, ambiance décontractée, bel aménagement, personnel souriant et efficace et bons petits plats, pour un prix raisonnable

Jolie salle moderne, bon service et plats mieux présentés que la plupart des autres restaurants. Dommage que les plats enfants à base de sauce tomate industrielle pour les pâtes par exemple soient hors sujet. Recommandé à condition de faire attention à ce point ou si vous n'avez pas d'enfants.

A few of us stopped in for happy hour. We all had some beer and wine. My girlfriend and I split a salad. It was absolutely great. Generous serving, very fresh mache and delightful food styling.

The pasta excellent and the test is great of spaghettis. All the staff very friendly and the locations that easy to find it.

This is a convenient place to stop for a drink or a snack when coming from the station to our hotel. The staff were friendly, the service efficient and the food good.

I do not see a particular reason to stop here for a lunch or dinner. The quality of the food (mostly Italian style) is average, the location is nice but pretty noisy and the waiters were pretty unfriendly. Nevertheless, the prices are good.

Very expensive family meal for three but we had a delicious evening meal. Soup and then veal main meals with mushroom sauce and Rösti potatoes, a bottle of wine and a coke. We paid around 156 Swiss francs. Very busy at lunch time and is cheaper. But worth it as the food was good!

Pleasant centrally located family restaurant with cheerful and friendly staff. We had an excellent cheese fondue served with bread & boiled potatoes. Prices are reasonable bearing in mind the high cost of holidaying in the Swiss Alps.

Stopped for a light lunch on out arrival to Wengen. Located on Wengiboden(main street) and a short walk from the banhof. Very nice dining room. Salads were excellent.

Location is nice. Service is good but slow. This alone would not qualify for the rating. But we ate there twice and I think this place needs a new chef. The rösti and bratwurst were both half cold and undercooked. In contrast to the spaghetti carbonara that was just one muddy pile of something with way too much garlic and no taste of bacon. The entrecôte was tough and served with some undercooked potatoes. Nothing to complain if a dish would not be between 22 and 42 SF.

Wir waren Anfangs Jahr zum Nachtessen in diesemSchönen Lokal.Das Servicepersonal wirkte sehr gestresst.Das essen war gut, aber nicht sehr grosse Portionen und vom Sauren Most und den Tomaten im Fondue merkten wir leider auch nicht viel.Wir werden dem Restaurant aber noch eine zweite Chance geben.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, wurde uns ein gemütlicher Tisch am Fenster zugewiesen. Das Essen war top, wie auch das ganze Team, welches super koordiniert ist. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Romy&Ritschi

If you want to experience great customer service combined with absolutely delicious food give Pasta & more a try! We enjoyed it very much, loved the atmosphere and the funny cow paintings looking down on us.We would highly recommend to rest and relax the snow and hiking tired feet while warming up the bellies at this location.

Pasta & More is a great restaurant located in Hotel Victoria near the train station in Wengen. The restaurant serves a mixture of traditional Swiss meals as well as a wide variety of pasta dishes. My wife and I both had the wengener kalbsgeschnetzeltes veal in a mushroom cream sauce.

Food was good staff was friendly. Everyone spoke English very well. Desert was my fav part. Decent options.

Disappointing. Not worth the money. I was pretty sure of this going on, but I tried to stay optimistic because all the restaurants I wanted to go to were closed, so I didn't have options.25 CHF for bad pasta. I felt sad eating it. I know plenty of people who'd be fine eating here, especially picky eaters who like to eat what they know, but if you're someone who likes to eat good food, don't go here. The only reason I don't give it one star is that the staff was really nice and fast, and I knew what I was getting myself into.

Die Küche war nicht überragend.Man konnte es Essen ,aber war keine große Kunst ,zum Sat werden hat es gereicht.Mein Kollege und ich hatten einmal Pasta und ich hatte Risotto ,mit Steinpilzen und Datteln.Der Teller war kalt und das Risotto auch.Der Service war ausgezeichnet.Die Dame war sehr nett ,und sehr professionell.Ich habe in Wengen im Jahre 1975 im Hotelfach gearbeitet.

We ate here twice during our 5 day stay in Wengen. I actually had the same meal twice as it was so good (orecchiette la quattro) My wife enjoyed her meals as well. Service was great as well. Totally enjoyed our meals and would love to return one day.

Restaurante muito bem decorado, aconchegante..com uma vista incrível das montanhas...e um atendimento maravilhoso....os pratos espetaculares, todos que pedimos estavam perfeitos. Carta de vinhos excelente

Wir saßen draußen in diesem Restaurant, tranken ein paar Biere und teilten uns einen Teller Pasta. Es war wundervoll. Der Kellner war erstaunlich, huschte von Tisch zu Tisch und schien ein halbes Dutzend Sprachen fließend zu sprechen. Guter Service, gutes Essen, gute Atmosphäre.

So on our 2nd night at Wengen and after an extremely tiring day hiking the Kleine Scheidegg Panorama Trail, and going up the Jungfraujoch— we decided to have dinner at Pasta & More. The restaurant after all looked very decent from the outside. I immediately noticed that they had very junior staff who looked like interns and when I called one of them, I was conveniently ignored. We ordered with the more senior staff and was really looking forward to a quick dinner because we were so tired. I noticed that this restaurant was understaffed by skilled waiters. The disappointment began when we noticed that our order was not properly taken down, and when food for at least 2 tables that we were ahead of were served first, I complained. Food finally came and I ordered the truffle pesto pasta. It was not worth the wait nor the price that I paid for it. It was bland and I did not taste any truffle at all. They did offer to not charge me for the soup that they missed which upon another follow-up was served eventually. Overpriced for the kind of food taste and quality. FYI, they charge for serving tap water for CHF 3.50 (ironic). It looks impressive from the outside plus resto is located along the main street but their service and food is very disappointing. Not worth the price you will pay.

From the first moment, the waiter and waitress were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.

Lovely dinner tonight, traditional Alpenfondue with potatoes and bread, and a glass of Riesling each. First time we’ve had a cheese fondue and it didn’t disappoint, delicious. Lovely staff Marieke and a charming gentleman who smiled and made us feel very welcome, both helped to make two Aussies feel at home in their lovely town. Thoroughly recommend!

After arriving in Wengen we had a delightful lunch here. Our server was very kind and our lunch of soups and breads perfect with a selection of nice wine. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

After eating at several other Wengen restaurants we thought we would try Pasta & More for our last dinner. We had made reservations earlier in the day so when we arrived, getting seated was accomplished promptly. The menu included several vegetarian options so we selected a large salad and a ravioli plate to share along with two glasses of white wine. The salad arrived without the addition of seeds which the menu said was an ingredient in our salad. When this was called to the waitresses attention she quickly went to the kitchen and returned with a small plate of mixed seeds. The salad and the accompanying dressing was quite good. The cheese ravioli came with an interestingly spiced sweet balsamic sauce and was quite tasty. We were both happy with our meal and thought that Pasta & More had a nice well lit dining room, staff that was very friendly and our wait time was not unreasonable. The prices were average for the area.

We enjoyed a traditional Swiss fondue on the Terrance as the sun set over the alps and the sky turned pink! Our server Daniel was perfect with suggestions and timing. The fondue was delicious.

A deux pas de notre hôtel , un établissement sympathique avec du personnel avenant et efficace. Une carte relativement courte mais avec des plats de qualité et de bonne portions. Le cadre est décontracté . Bon choix de bière et de de bons vins.

We had a very rainy night and so it was easy to walk from our hotel to eat inside. I ordered the spaghetti and my husband had a fish dinner. He said his was good. Mine lacked flavor. The waitress was pleasant and engaged in conversation .
