We took a day trip from eastern Switzerland to Bern. For lunch we decided on the Webern restaurant. Haven't eaten so well in a long time! Excellent and friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere. Despite the house being full, the food was served promptly and without any apparent stress. Eastern Swiss gastronomy could learn a lesson here! There is still a lot of catching up to do! It was the first time in this cozy restaurant, the dining room was well furnished, very friendly service, and the food we ordered was very good and the price of Menu 1 with soup or salad was okay, I would like to visit the restaurant again.

The Zunft zur Webern restaurant is in the middle of the beautiful old town of Bern. There is a large menu here with many meat dishes. Among other things, hot stone, fondue bourguignonne and the best tartar hat in town are on offer. Of course you can also find very good wines here. It's cool that Fegi dishes are offered. So you can also go out to eat with Fegi Frau. The prompt and friendly staff are also up for fun. The location is super nice. Mid price.

The service was great and also joined in the jokes. The food was very tasty. The atmosphere is old town and I like the Madame Pottine style lamps and would have liked to have taken them with me. Tassilo was still missing... The student association's round table is also great. Including the chairs.

They seem friendly, but they seem to be subtly ignoring me. I don't know who told me to eat quietly at a restaurant, but it was too noisy, and the wine was served in a small gourd rather than a bottle. I don't know what the pasta tastes like, and the fondue is not recommended.

The “Wäbere” belongs to Bern like the Zytglogge or the Bärengraben. It is a place where you simply feel good. The welcome and service is always warm and professional. The map is pleasantly clear and has a clear line. What chef Eva Forrer conjures up on the plates is always extremely tasty and far surpasses the monotony of today's gastronomy. Whether in summer or winter on the unique terrace under the arbors or in the wood-paneled restaurant, you always feel comfortable. A value that is just as secure as it is a flagship of the Bernese gastronomy industry.

Food good, service actually good too, but understaffed.

Was recommended to me, service was good, ambience was perfect, but I was unlucky with a cordon bleu - the ham in it was spoiled. That doesn't work.

The rösti: salt and dry. The price: high The service: okay update after a few hours: meal is like a brick on the stomach.

Authentic Swiss dishes without any frills. We were there in autumn and there was a seasonal menu with traditional game dishes. Very fine. The vermicelles were also a delight.

Unfortunately there was no Averna or Ramazotti

The service was top, but the food was not at all edible - the pumpkin soup didn't taste like anything except spicy. The Zurich Schnitzel for CHF 38.- had a watery sauce, the meat was not well cooked at all and a very small portion, my bratwurst with Rösti CHF 26.- was also not edible, the Rösti was dry and had almost no taste, the price in both courts is not justified at all. Cordon bleu was very fatty and carelessly prepared. For 4 people without dessert CHF 233.- hence my conclusion that the price performance is not right at all. Once and never again!

We arrived at 5 in the evening, without reservation. The manager left the employee table to us, and the waitresses were very attentive. Classic Swiss cuisine (fondue, rösti). The röstis were very good. Really great service! And rare value for money in Bern.

We had lunch yesterday and we were very happy with our meals 😋 Rösti with Raclett cheese we had . The portions were generous and it was delicious .The service was quick, friendly and very professional 👏 we sat outside and watched the people going past, it was a very busy street, so lots to see. During our visit to the city of Bern, we had Bernese Rösti with raclette cheese, bacon and fried eggs. It was sensational. Crispy and juicy. We can definitely recommend them.

We ate lunch at the Restaurant Zunft zu Webern. The food was excellent, highly recommend the Läberli. The service was outstanding. Our server, Frau Bütikofer, was an absolute delight - friendly, engaging, attentive. We highly recommend this eatery in the old town of Bern.

I kind of liked the fondue okayish, but it could have been better

A great place, the kitchen does not close (good for Spaniards who want to eat at 2:00 p.m.) and the waitress is excellent. Very attentive at all times and the fondue is delicious!

AVOID - keep walking up hill.. Trying to get late lunch outside, the place is empty, the waiter annoyed by our presence but shows us the table. Only “small menu” is available at 3pm, ok. Half the group got a drinks-only menu, the other half the correct one. Trying to order hash-browns - surprise, turns out we have to move inside to eat. This time he succeeded and we left.

The worst Rösti I have ever eaten in Switzerland. And the gentleman who served us was a complete disaster. Never again....👎

Delicious steak on hot stone in this nice restaurant. Nice piece of meat too. 👍The service was very friendly. Unfortunately, many other restaurants were closed on Monday, but in our case it was a blessing in disguise.

We came here after searching for a place to raclette in early August. After searching far and wide for those cheesy taters we finally found this heaven of cheese. After some weird looks by the waiters and a small kerfuffle with the electrical outlets to get the raclette working, we were ready. As they brought out the massive block of cheese, taters, pickles, apples and small unions we even more ready. As we slowly but surely melted the big block of cheese that was laid before us our stomachs rumbled. As we took our first pull of cheese and laid it upon the taters we knew, we were in heaven. Pull after pull of cheese the block got smaller and our stomachs more full. Nearing the end as the metal spikes that were holding the cheese greeted us, telling us we were done and we agreed. All in all, amazing raclette, amazing staff, 10/10 would eat big molten ball of cheese again. Big love, Martijn

Among those very few bars where you can even ruin a coke... Not very clean glass, hot coke and without ice or lemon. All served by Parisian-style waiters (only regarding the obvious lack of friendliness and zero joy at work). What saves the place is the terrace on the main street

Very attentive and friendly service staff. Unfortunately, this is not a given these days and is therefore worth mentioning. :-) We were thirsty and were extremely well looked after. ;-) In addition, the food was very tasty, be it the crispy fish or the cold platter, which was very generous and easily enough for two people. Also a cozy spot and the arcades/parasols. What more do you want?

Waited an hour for overpriced food. Was it good? Yes. Would i have just gotten a mcdonalds cheeseburger if i’d known i would take so long? Yes

Great dishes that would have been so much better in cooler weather, but we're tasty even in the summer heat! They did have food for cooler weather but it was great to get a what I think of as more traditional swiss food. The waitress was amazing as well.

Nice brewery. Good products. Don't go there if you're in full swing because it's quite rich :) The welcome was friendly, the waitress (a Portuguese lady) was super pleasant but the chef made no effort to help us in another language. He gave us a smirk when we asked him for a map in English. The presentation is simplistic but the taste is there. We enjoy. The perch fillets are excellent but... breaded! Traditional Swiss dishes. The dessert menu doesn't have too many choices.

The pomfrits were a little under-fried, and the ventilation wasn't that good, the clothes smelled like I had eaten in the kitchen! Otherwise all good.

Very friendly staff, food was excellent, one star deducted because it was rather loud, there was a strong smell of cheese in the clothes, and the table was very uncomfortable to eat because it constantly wobbled, despite the stands. But would come again because the cordon bleu was incredibly tender and so was the zürigschnätzle!

The food was pretty awful here. Maybe it was an 'off' night, but the Rosti was incredibly oily and salty, the oil literally running into the calves liver, which was also incredibly salty, and not that tasty. For the food we had, even for Switzerland, it was very high. The service was also incredibly patchy. No one asked if we needed anything or if the food was okay. Nothing. We would not recommend.

The restaurant was busy but all the staff were super friendly and very accommodating. You were served and said goodbye with a smile.

It was a little late and most restaurants are fully booked. So I stepped in and one of the staff was very friendly and gave us a table. The salad for the appetizer was good. I had a pork steak served on the sizzling stone it comes with butter and fried was okay. But I expected more for that price.

We came for dinner, had the entrecôte steak and fondue and pumpkin soup. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

This was some of the best schnitzel I've ever had.

Location: it's around a 10 minute walk from the main train station and at the main shopping street. Restaurant: as it isn't that big the waiters are always available, which was very comfortable. Food: it was tasty and therefore the price was worth it. Staff: super friendly and efficient Bathroom: it was clean and good smelling. You just had to walk a long way to finally get there.

We came for a fondue! Exquisite, and we are connoisseurs… plus Patricia our waitress was adorable and spoke impeccable French. THANKS !

The food is very delicious, the service is good, the restaurant is in the heart of the city.

Meeting of old friends, 16 people, the food was pre-ordered based on previous menu selection between three menus and neatly listed. Still chaos, from the starter to the dessert, pretty much everything went wrong. We didn't let it spoil our good mood in the beautiful vaulted cellar. The highlight was a rock-hard deer medallion that several of us ordered. One can at least take credit for the fact that after the complaint we didn't have to pay for the meat and we were offered a final drink. The date was October 18, 2022, immediately after a change of tenant. The new tenant is not a beginner, his name is Tobias Burkhalter and he is well known in the gastronomy scene and is also president of Gastro Bern. He also became known on Tele Bärn during the Corona period, where he negatively criticized and condemned every Federal Council decision. However, if he continues to muddle along in his job, the "Wäbere" will soon come to a sad end.

Great address in Bern. Uncomplicated, simple, good. The service is particularly praiseworthy, always friendly and yet with the necessary mischief, and the kitchen delivers what you expect. We felt completely comfortable and had a very good meal. I/we will be back.

Service leaves much to be desired, 10 francs for a salad which was literally 5 leaves of lettuce on which you have to add the dressing yourself and we were unlucky with the main course: we ordered just what was not tasty and again a small portion for 37 francs… part bad luck, part work to be done for this restaurant.

We have been there for dinner. Against all rating, the place is totally mediocre. Food is good but neither special nor outstanding. Staff is not listening to what you order and does not know much about common drinks. Nice and friendly but again nothing above standard level.

It was good but expensive. They were out of potatoes, all we had with the cheese and the Fondue was bread. The service was fair.

15 years ago it was an above average restaurant...now it's just disappointing and not worth the prices
