Westside in Bern

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars, otherwise I would! We wanted to have a nice drink after the cinema. There was only 1 waiter there (on a Saturday evening!) and 1 waitress who preferred to take a break. When we waved to her, she cheekily showed with her hand that we had to wait. She then came to us anyway (quite annoyed) and told us that she was actually on break and the other waiter was alone. We'll just have to wait, that's normal. We then decided to leave and were served very friendly at Nooch and received the drinks very quickly! So if you don't want to wait forever for your drinks, it's better to go somewhere else.

Don't seem to need guests. Saturday evening and despite few guests and my wife asking if she (unlike me) could have a cocktail without alcohol: "there is the menu". We looked in advance and didn't find anything, so we asked. But we didn't need this arrogant snapping and we left.

We (husband and wife) wanted to have a nice evening. Go out to eat and then go to the cinema. We've been to your place before and left because we still couldn't order anything after 20 minutes. We thought we wanted to try it again. Today we waited forever until we were served. (The restaurant was only 1/3 full and 2 women were serving). We ordered the food, and waited and waited and waited, after 40 minutes we asked. They said the food was coming from the main restaurant and she couldn't do anything, we had to wait. We said we were going to the cinema but we didn't get an answer. After 1 hour and 10 minutes we got up, pretty annoyed, and said we had to leave (3 other couples did the same, also in a very bad mood) otherwise we would miss the film. The waiter said we didn't have to pay for the drinks and apologized. We went to the cinema without having dinner. We'll never come back to you... Simply the worst service we have ever experienced.

Delicious drinks and very nice service. Atmosphere was quite good, but it closed about an hour earlier than the opening hours shown on the website. Otherwise we were satisfied.

The bar looks very descriptive and the employees and waiters are very friendly. We didn't eat anything here, just drank. I can highly recommend the drinks.

Every time I come to this place (after enjoying the attached place “tres amigos”) I always have to chat with the bar attendant “José”. He always kicks us out of the bar and tells us it's closing even though it's supposed to close at 11:30 p.m., or in this case it closes at 10 p.m. but we didn't come in for a drink until 9:30 p.m. and he kicked us out and told us he had already closed the bar, shut down the cash register and closed the bar. He speaks incorrectly to people, without professionalism, respect and education, on the other side of the restaurant the “Tres Amigos” are all friendly and care about our well-being. Unfortunately, this person is absolutely not up to his position and it would be better to think about changing and re-evaluating the staff.

We watched the Champions League broadcasts there and the bar was quite good. The service was always good, regardless of whether there were many or few visitors, except for the last evening (Man City-Real second leg), but it was extremely crowded there. It's a shame there is no vegan burger on the menu.

A good bar before going to the cinema. When I was there there wasn't much going on, so there was no waiting time. The bartender was always up for a joke and the prices were average.

I've been thinking about it for a long time today, apart from the 40 minute wait until we could place our order (after people who came after us were served and who had already received their orders the same time as we arrived and were already half empty) We were treated quite provocatively and condescendingly and we didn't even receive an apology for waiting. The bar only has a few customers. Service took 15-20 minutes to arrive. The 2 cocktails we ordered arrived after 15-20 minutes, my beer wasn't there. After 10 minutes I asked and it took another 15 minutes... 40-45 minutes for a beer with so few guests? Very weak!! Don't come back so quickly...

Very unfriendly staff. An hour before closing (checked the opening times on the internet) the glass partitions were already closed (except for one). Then you cashed in and didn't ask if you wanted anything else. The lights were then switched to bright and the music was switched off about half an hour before closing. How can you treat customers like that? Very uncomfortable atmosphere!!!

I like the atmosphere in the bar and of course the music 👍💃🥂💫. The staff is attentive and very friendly, good selection of drinks, moderate prices and so far I have always felt very comfortable as a woman. My main suggestion for improvement is the lighting. I would prefer the spots to be less glare🤣. Everything else is cool 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food was bad and the service was unmotivated :(

The large YB sports bar where Formula 1 or another game is playing at the start of the game...only after about 4 people complained was the switch to the desired game (Xamax-Yb). The staff was brave, but completely overwhelmed. More staff would be better!

My salad was very rich and tasty. I had avocado, pomegranate seeds and a very tasty sauce with pieces of chicken in the salad. I would order this dish again as a main course at any time. The negative thing was that I didn't receive my salad at the same time as the other guests.

New menu is very disappointing! Never had such disgusting nachos before. Compared to the old nachos recipe, which was very tasty, it's just frustrating and not even worth half the price. Do they even test their recipes before putting them on the menu? 7 francs for half a liter of soft drink are further arguments to avoid this restaurant chain, at least until the menu is revised again... too bad, better use one of the many other options to eat in the Westside!

Enjoyed the SportsBar burger. Outstanding taste. I also like the large selection of drinks. Perfect to spend some time before a movie.

Very nice staff, great atmosphere

Very bad, the service barely understands German or any other language, long waiting times and half of the things we ordered didn't come. So half of the table was fed and the other half had to go home hungry. Also worth mentioning are the above-average prices and very small portions, at least for the starters. Unfortunately we didn't get any further. I advise against the location!

J'ai pris des pâtes à la caprese à midi, ce restaurant ne proposant que des pâtes et des pizza je m'attendais à mieux, les pâtes étaient tièdes et pas assez égouttées, l'assiette était froide donc a contribué à refroidir les pâtes, le parmesan à disposition provenait d'un sachet industriel, le tout accompagné d'un peu de mozzarella de bufala et quelques mini tomates coupées en deux J'ai vu des pizzas sur d'autres tables et elles avaient l'air mieux que ce que j'avais commandé

Das Spiga befindet sich im Einkaufszentrum Westside in Bern Brünnen. Ich habe das Spiga in der Mittagspause besucht. Die Bestellung gibt man an der Theke auf und erhält dann mit dem Plateau das Getränk plus einen "Piepser" der sich duch Vibration und Leuchten dann meldet sobald die Pizza abgeholt werden kann.Bestellte mir eine Pizza Hawaii und eine Cola. Preislich, um die 25 Franken. Dessert und/oder Salate kann ich hier nicht bewerten.Die Pizza war dann auch schon nach kurzer Zeit abholbereit und schmeckte mir wirklich sehr gut! Dank dem Food-court Prinzip kann man sich auch in anderen Restaurants das Essen holen und gemeinsam mit Freunden essen. Angeboten wird Sushi, eine japanische Ramenbar und der Mc Donalds befindet sich ebenfalls dort.

Received starter after a long wait. Then waited about 45 minutes for the main course. He did not come. Instead we were asked if we would like some more coffee ^^ Then a few bad words and then came the food. For once it was what you ordered. All in all OK. But the inconsistency is glaring. I can only agree with the previous speakers, long wait, not particularly friendly, food not necessarily a hit and way too expensive, no matter what. If I were to sit there again at some point, I would be kidnapped.

It was Barcelona - Atletico and about 20 people were watching. During the half-time break, they suddenly switched both TVs to a different game that 2-3 people wanted to watch, instead of leaving Barcelona - Atletico on one TV and Man on the other. City-Chelsea. Unnecessary? Also unfriendly and expensive...

Wahnsinnig gute Qualität, super schnell zubereitet. Eignet sich für hochwertige Speisen, wenn man zeitlich knapp ist. Ambiente gemütlich, würde aber ein Update vertragen. Sicherer Wert im Westside.

Die Pizza Hawai hatte frische Dosenananas. Und war in 5 Minuten fertig. Schneller als daheim. Das 6,50 chr Mini-Erdinger (0,3l) war niedlich.

Worst service ever! We waited over an hour for the food because they forgot it and then when we had to leave because the film was starting at the Pathe, they wanted to charge us for the menu that never arrived. Never again!

Ich war schon mehrmals hier aber die qualität so wie die quantität hat nachgelassen. Die teigwarensauce ist zu flüssig und früher konnte man ein zweites mal holen gehn wen die portion nicht gereicht hat.

Very unfriendly staff. Didn't feel like working. I waited a quarter of an hour for service before I went to order my drink at the bar. Another ten minutes later the drink finally arrived. You would have to wait again for the bill. So I went to pay at the bar and what did the super bored staff say. “I don’t have enough money to change you a hundred.” What can I do to help ensure that the machine doesn't spit out smaller bills and you can't change them. Then you just have to make sure you have enough. It was definitely the last time I was there.

The ambience is certainly correct, but you can't take the staff. We all ordered a large bar and got it Beer in a 0.25 glass. Afterwards we ordered another pitcher, but it was really good.

Cool sports bar to watch sports with friends and have a drink.

Nach langer Zeit wieder einmal im Spiga gegessen, dieses mal eine Calzone-Pizza. Der Inhalt war roh, das rohe Ei ist beim ersten Schnitt wie Wasser ins Teller ausgelaufen. Auch der Pizzateig war ungeniessbar, halbroh. Das war so offensichtlich, anstandslos wurde mir eine neue Calzone gebracht. Leider wieder in dieser ungeniessbaren, rohen Qualität. Ich habe versucht davon zu essen... Das war mitunter etwas vom Ungeniessbarsten was ich je in einem Restaurant serviert bekam, und ich bin nicht empfindlich. Auch meine Freude konnten Ihre Pizza's mit bestem Willen maximal zur Hälfte essen. Offenbar war oder ist da u. a. mit dem Teig etwas nicht in Ordnung. Das Preis- Leistung-Verhältnis für diese Fertigprodukte ist jenseits. Ich möchte Ihnen diese Zeilen als Anregung senden.

Sehr stillvoller und stimmungsvoller Ecken vor dem Food-Corner. Wir haben auch schon etliche Besuche absolviert und waren immer zufrieden. Vor unserem Kinobesuch wollten wir uns bei einem Aperitif einstimmen. Die Bar war wirklich voll und die Bedingung im Stress. Trotzdem waren alle sehr freundlich und bemüht alle Gäste rasch zu bedienen. Zum Glas Weißwein gibt es leider nichts zum knabbern, ausser man kauft etwas.Tipp an die Geschäftsleitung - wenn ein Salznüsslein oder ein paar Chips nicht in der Kalkulation eingerechnet sind bitte in Zukunft einrechnen. Es geht ja nicht darum den Bauch zu füllen. R. R.

Great bar, but with the exception of "Mami" (who is the only best at the bar) extremely bad staff. You constantly get the wrong thing that you didn't order, even after the second mention as reassurance. It's a real shame and very questionable who would hire such bad staff. A service employee once mixed two different whiskeys together, but later the fraud was discovered (the whiskey ordered was apparently not enough, so the portion was mixed with another whiskey)!! The employee of Asian origin is very unfriendly and often sits with music headphones in the smoking room or somewhere else when there is a lot going on and leaves his work colleagues in the room and the guests can then wait until it is no longer possible. Great, you ask yourself who is a guest now?! The opening times are also very unclear and stated differently in different places, but sometimes the staff closes at 10:45 p.m. even though according to the homepage it should be open until midnight. The managing director has probably failed on all sides and has no control over what exactly is going on. After so many bad experiences over several months, I no longer go to the SportsBar. That's a shame, but in your free time you want to have fun and not be constantly annoyed because of poor service.

Essen ist gut aber kleine Portionen bei der Pasta. Pasta wird nicht frisch zubereitet sondern aus dem Beutel vorgekocht aufgewärmt. Pizza und Salat hingegen guete Portionen. Preis Leistung aus meiner Sicht zu hoch.

Really great idea and well implemented too. The selection of drinks is great and the combination with Desperados opposite for various snacks is also great. But you have 13 screens hanging and can't manage to broadcast anything other than football! You are showing a repeat between YB and Thun on Friday evening at half past ten o'clock, then you could also show any other repeat! In the USA the MLB is running, the NFL will soon start and the NBA and NHL will also start soon. Ruggby would also be great, or WRC or MotoGP... You can split the 13 screens, do that too, otherwise rename the Baar to Soccer Baar!

Fast food de alta qualidade. Comida italiana variada. Possui opções vegetarianas e uma ótima carta de vinhos e cervejas. Está no shopping westside.

Da wir Spiga Fan sind und wir einen Badetag im Schwimmbad im Bern Westside verbringen wollten, verpflegten wir uns auch dort. Das Essen war super, aber die Bar, so stimmungsvoll wie da, gibt's sie in keinem anderen Spiga. Tolles Ambiente und herzliche Bedienung. Einfach gemütlich!

Ich übernachtete im HolidayInn Hotel und gingen zum Abendessen in dieses Hotel, das Essen war gut und der Preis war vernünftig. Das Restaurant ist wie ein halb PKW-Service von guter Qualität

Wir genossen den Aufenthalt bei einem kleinen Getränk und netten Gesprächen. Ist ein idealer Ort um sich mit Freunden auszutauschen

Kurz bevor man in die Kinowelt des Westside in Bern kommt ist das Spiga platziert. Vor einem Kinogang kommen wir oft noch vorbei um je nach Beginnzeit des Films einen feinen Espresso mit einem Tiramisu oder einer Panna Cotta oder einem Glas Weisswein mit ein paar Oliven oder Antipasti zu geniessen. Beides ist jeweils sehr fein. Man kann im Spiga aber natürlich auch Pizza und Pasta essen und - das weiss ich aber nur vom hören sagen - das sei beides gut. Das Ambiente ist mit einer kleinen Lounge und im hinteren Teil ein paar normalen und Hochtischen ansprechend. Für ein romantisches Dinner wähle ich aber etwas anderes.

Die Pasta und die Pizzen sind sehr fein, bei der Pasta sind die Portionen leider etwas gar klein. Was mich am meisten stört ist, dass das Restaurant bereits um ca. 21:50 schliesst, so dass man nicht mehr bedient wird, wenn man bis zum Schluss im Bernaqua bleibt.

Schöner Ort zum Ausruhen. Bar und Polstergruppen. Der Service ist durchschnittlich, die Preise hoch, wenn man bedenkt, dass man sich manchmal selbst bedient. Das Speiseangebot ist eingeschränkt. Ein Zwischending zwischen Systemgastronomie und Restaurant. Trotzdem empfehlenswert wegen des sehr schönen Intérieurs und der Ruhe inmitten der Hektik.

Wir hatten Spaghetti mit Pesto und solche mit Butter und Salbei. Beides war lecker und eine normale Portionsgrösse. Preislich eben was man so zahlt in Bern. Nicht für jeden Tag. Die Deko ist sehr elegant.

Perfekt zum Abendessen nach einem Aufenthalt in Bernaqua mit Kindern! Pizza war sehr frisch und schmackhaft. etwas zu salzig für meinen Geschmack. Salat war frisch. Nettes Personal. Schnell serviert! Preis in Ordnung.

Das Spiga ist enttäuschend. Hungrig bestellte ich eine Portion Ravioli Spinat für 19,80 Franken. Der "Koch" in der einsehbaren Küche riss eine Tüte auf, deren Inhalt kurz erhitzt wurde und ich bekam eine klitzekleine Portion Ravioli auf einem riesigen, stylischen Teller. Das Restaurant verließ ich dann hungrig und machte mich weiter auf die Suche nach Nahrung. Für den Preis verzeie ich weder Aufreisstüte, noch Miniportion.

I like bolognese sauce but i find it in most restaurant not so good, basically too sour or sweet, or too much tomato sauce. Here there is a perfect one, more like ragout with lot of carrot in it. It is basically self service restaurant but prices are like it is normal restaurant, wich meal little bit higher that it should be.They also offer pizzas and salads.

Das Essen ist durchschnittlich. Wer italienisches Essen mag, der wird das Essen mögen, aber er darf nicht erwarten etwas überdurchschnittliches auf dem Teller zu haben. Die Portionen sind klein, und für ein Restaurant mit Selbstbedienung zu teuer. Die Bedienung erinnert oft an Burgerking oder McDonalds und lässt ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig.
