Very cozy place with good food options and great drinks. Pina colada is a must try.

It feels like going to an old Mexican bistro. Don’t expect something fancy. Everything there feels local and cozy. You can have diverse choice of drinks and some good Mexican tacos or nachos to go with the drinks. It’s underground so, you feel completely isolated from everything around you. Unless, during summer or a good day, you plan to sit outside. The drinks are ok. For us, you could feel the strong sent of alcohol in Margarita while the pina colada was quite sweet.

Great food at a great price in the center of Bern. We had the nachos, the quesadilla and the tacos. Everything had a great taste, service was quick, the atmosphere was nice and chill.

Genuine mexican food at very reasonable prices. The michelada is among the strangest drinks I have ever had, but oddly tasty. It's family run, with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

Delicious tacos and very friendly, attentive service. Prices are totally ok for Bern and there is actually a pleasant atmosphere. Typically Mexican with a corresponding atmosphere. The only criticism: We wanted to spend a cozy evening and have conversations. The table next to us started playing karaoke songs, equipped with microphones throughout the restaurant. The volume was reduced slightly when we asked, but only for 1 song. The host asked again personally but nothing helped. However, the majority seemed to like the ambience and so we left the restaurant :-) I would like to come back but probably more Monday-Thursday... if a cozy evening is possible. Karaoke is ok, but I think it needs to be announced (then I'll go eat somewhere else ;-).

Does not open at 11.30 as suggested on the door. Have not tried the food, but waiting in front with a hungry kid for them to (not) open was not a good experience...

Without a doubt it is an authentic piece of Mexico, the authentic Mexican flavor!!!! 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 It's not another TexMex type restaurant that you usually get used to abroad, it's Mexico in Bern!!!! The birria is very tasty, the cochinita pibil is delicious, well balanced flavors, the tortilla is authentic corn tortilla, as if you were in Mexico! Good drinks, good beer and good music! 100% recommended.

Fast service and nice staff. They had great food for cheap but the alcoholic drinks were not the best. This place is worth the money though so make sure you get some hispanic food while in Switzerland.

BEST TACOS IN SWITZERLAND! My son was craving tacos while we were visiting him in Switzerland and we visited Bern and found this cool restaurant. We ordered the Nachos and Chicken Tinga tacos. The chicken tacos were flavorful and chicken was tender. The nachos were a great starter, fresh chips and the service was great. It is is a small place with big flavors and get ambiance. Food came quickly and the service was excellent. A fun little reminder for my son of his Mexican culture while in school in Switzerland. Thanks so much!

If you love authentic Mexican tacos and want to enjoy a good Mexican beer with them, this bistro is the right place in Bern. On special holidays, the family business serves special dishes. There's always good Mexican music playing in the basement!

Que Rico Bistro is a much needed Mexican food outpost in Switzerland. Everyone working there as of my visit in September 2023 was from Mexico making this an "authentic" team. Is this the best Mexican restaurant? Nope. Is it great based on the location/distance from Mexico? For sure! The green salsa is amazing, but it and the other bottles are imported and not made in house. The tortillas are okay but the weak point of each plate. They're good for what they are but not in general. The nopales are good tacos. The cocinita pibil were okay tacos because they were possibly over cooked. Indoor cellar and outdoor street seating are available.

A marvel!! We came here for vacation and stopped for dinner. Great atmosphere, great service, incredible food. I would repeat without a doubt!!!

The tacos are so small that you have to eat at least 2 portions to be full. The cocktails are bad and expensive and we were told nachos and quesedillas couldn't be ordered, but we saw them on the neighboring table... never again!

6 tacos and 2 beers of 3dl each for 55.-. Carelessly prepared and almost no filling. Tortillas almost hard when served. Mexico would laugh at this restaurant if it could. The waiter insisted on a tip, which made my face blush until an older employee stepped in and let it go... I laughed and thought, never again... another "Mexican" flop in Bern. When I look at the comments, I notice that many have probably just made their first comment, or just happen to be from Sursee like the staff...buying positive comments is a no-go...

A little piece of Mexico in Berne! Since we found this place on the cd. old lady from Bern we have not stopped going. They have always welcomed us and attended to us with a smile. When we, 3 good friends of Central and South American origin, visited the Rico Bistro in Bern, it was partly because of the advertising that we recently saw in the media. We ordered tacos, based on the order of one of the three of us, she ordered 3 different tacos. One plate contains 3 tacos. When the waitress came to our table with 2 plates and 6 tacos already prepared, we tried to solve the misunderstanding. At that moment it was explained to us that the last 3 tacos were not yet prepared and that mixing the tacos was not possible. However, this was not explained to us beforehand. At that moment the waitress apologized and stated that she had to throw the tacos in the trash one way or another. We could therefore eat them and they would take the incorrect order into account when paying. Surprisingly, we were still charged in full for the 6 tacos and there was no sign of “we will take this into account when paying” anymore. We asked the waitress about it and she subsequently denied what she had said twice with “I never said that”. When we complained about this service, the arrogant answer came: "The service is exemplary" and we were greeted with a "goodbye" which was not long in coming, and our stay ended very unpleasantly. So it can be said that in this restaurant, media presence or not, every franc is one too many and this is not because of the kitchen, but because of the young waitress and the young waiter, who are probably attending a gastronomy school.

Terrible customer service from the waiter and the cook. When ordering three tacos with different ingredients, the waiter never told me that it was not possible to get a mixed order, so at first he brought me two plates with three tacos each and I told him that I had only ordered three tacos. He took them to the next table and minutes later the waitress brought back two plates with three tacos each and I explained the same thing again, that I had only ordered three tacos with different ingredients. It was there that she explained to me that you couldn't order mixed tacos but that there was no problem, because in the end an agreement could be reached on the bill, since anyway if I didn't take the tacos they would go directly into the trash. At the time of the bill I had to pay for something that I did not order and I did not eat completely and I was not given the purchase receipt. The cook denied what she had said with a pedantic attitude. I told them that they gave very bad service and the waiter replied, perfect, everything is perfect, goodbye! It's a shame this place has such poor quality employees. The despotic, arrogant and rude attitude of the waiter and the cook is not to be returned. The owner was very kind and attentive and you can see the love for his restaurant, but with those employees it is a shame.

The food is great, they are really the best tacos in Bern. My favorites are tacos de birria but the other (cochinita pibil and tinga) are also really good. I always go there to order my michelada with clamato and beer Indio. It is delicious and it really has the taste as in México. The atmosphere is so nice because there is Karaoke, you can sing and have a lot of fun. I highly recommend for eating good, drink a delicious beer and have a nice evening with friends or your Partner.

The tables are very close together at the front door of the restaurant, it is very difficult to get in and out, other people had to get up and make room for us. The price is expensive and the menus are not satisfactory. The main course is not served with a lot of goodies like in other Mexican restaurants, but only with a little sauce. The toilet was very dirty!

Stopped here to have a drink. Had micheladas and nachos. Both were excellent. Service was outstanding. All of the staff were nice and friendly. Best Mexican food we've had in Europe.

Everything delicious. They welcomed us after closing time and still served us. And on top of that it's a real Mexican, they use corn tortillas. Phenomenal wow.

As a Mexican visiting Bern, eating at Sergio and his family's establishment was an absolutely wonderful experience, authentic Mexican food, long live Mexico!

I have to recommend this place. My experience was the best in terms of the michelada since I went and it was closed but miraculously they were working on remodeling the store and they were able to sell me a michelada. (I haven't tried their food yet, but I will return 🤭) Their hours are Wednesday to Sunday from 11-12 to 9 p.m. or Friday later. Truly as a Mexican, I can say that their micheladas are one of the best I have ever tried inside or outside of Mexico omg!!! The prices are incredible the order of tacos (3 pieces) $16 chf, the beer 7chf the clamatos 10-12 chf They also have tekila, and jarritos 🤤 Go go, you won't regret it!!
