When it's sunny, it's a nice place to set up.. The service would be friendlier if they also spoke and understood German.....a smile on their face would be nice..

For me the best restaurant in Chur for 25 years. Always great, attentive and friendly service, Always eaten very well. There is still classic cuisine, which I really appreciate. The game dishes are particularly recommended.

I ate roast beef this time, the tartar sauce was great, it wasn't always like that 😎👍

Our first meal in Switzerland. Food was too salty for our liking. We had the rosti, carbonara, pizokels and 2 coffees. Bill came up to CHF85.60.

Among the four destinations on my Switzerland trip—Zurich, Grindelwald, Zermatt, and Bern—this meal was the worst. Despite the nice service and atmosphere, it was hard to grasp the value of the food, especially because these dishes were listed as chef recommendations. Also, we wanted to try the tomato soup which so called signature of swiss dish, but it tasted like it came straight from a pasta sauce can. Disappointed 😢

I still enjoy being there, the service is good and friendly

Until recently we were almost regular guests at this restaurant and the food always tasted good. Then the kitchen changed its strategy and served mostly pre-prepared and warmed dishes, which also tasted appropriate. I really regret that I can no longer visit this restaurant for the time being.

Our hash browns weren't really good. The white wine from the region was good, and the salad was also ok. However, we were very satisfied with the service.

We wanted to have a drink at 1:15 p.m. on a Saturday and were sent away with the statement that we had no room for only drinking guests, even though there were at least four tables still free. We've been there for dinner on other occasions and will definitely never have a very unfriendly waitress again

Very friendly staff for many years, a well-coordinated team. There were 16 people, everyone ordered according to their taste and it was served to everyone at the same time!!👍

The food was very good. Salad was a bit small as a side dish for 6.50 CHF. But the fact that 0.5L of still water costs 7.- is absolutely extortionate. I simply forewent a tip if you were robbed like that. A small reason, but reason enough for me to leave it at this one visit.

Great restaurant for outdoors seating on a summer day. The Hirschpfeffer was excellent.

On 5 Sept 2023, a group tour of 27 people and a tour guide from Singapore had our 'first decent and very delicious' lunch since 1 Sept in this restaurant. The baked chicken with creamy mushroom sauce and broccoli was tasty and well cooked after a "much welcomed" appetiser of mixed carrots and peas soup. We ended our lunch on a high note with a very beautifully decorated dessert bearing the symbol of the Switzerland flag. Thank you Carmen and all the friendly staff who have made our quick stopover at Chur a memorable one after a 5.5 hours of train ride from Zermatt.

On Bahnhofstrasse. Lots of people walk past. Good and attentive service.

Good Swiss cuisine. Fast service.

From the Chur train station straight up into the city, the yellow parasols can be seen from afar. Although it was rush hour, the service was very quick, no matter what was on the menu, it was very finely cooked. Love for the job came through completely.. attentive service, too, I can only recommend it here! Because it's in the pedestrian zone, it's easy to reach even with a wheelchair. NOT the last time we were here.. just go there by public transport, also easy to reach. Bus stop is very close.. as I said, no long waiting times.

This Pork Liver Swiss Hash Brown is very delicious, except for being a little salty, there are no other drawbacks! The portion was huge, I couldn't finish it by myself.

Honestly, apart from the kitchen, which isn't that bad, the rest is pretty bad. The boss never smiles and is unfriendly (but it is well known in Chur) and the staff is also unfriendly, which is not surprising given the cramped atmosphere and furnishings. It would be so breezy.... Luckily there are other restaurants in Chur where you can find a warm welcome, professionalism and flexibility (which the Rätushof doesn't know). In comparison, I think the prices are too high because the food is good, but not exceptional! I hope I don't have to go back one day!!

Called in for a quick bite to eat, had a local beer and chicken and chips. All good no issues, was in a bit of a rush so no photos. But would recommend, staff very helpful.

Maybe we visited at a bad time? Service was poor, in that they allowed us to vastly over order. We had a meat platter for two, that we assumed was a starter. It was huge. One of our rosti mains was really good (chicken curry) the other (picante) was pretty average. So for the afore mentioned and two beers to cost £100+ just felt like poor value. They did wrap the meat up for us to carry out but I left feeling disappointed.

Today I went to the restaurant and felt unwelcome. They asked others if the food was good, and with us they just asked if we were ready. They were quick to pay the bill and didn't even ask us if we would like anything else. The food was ok, nicely prepared but not entirely good.

Very fine food and great service. Here you can find dishes that have disappeared from many menus, as well as "modern" dishes. Fine burgers, hash browns, steaks (!), tartare, and much more. Fast and friendly service. Everyone will find something here. Large portions at a fair price.

I ordered Rösti and was unfortunately disappointed. It was tasteless, poorly fried. Ambience not pleasant, very old and not maintained. Too large a selection of food but poor quality.

Expensive high price Also, don't ask for coffee after a certain time, we will tell you we are not a cafeteria.

The restaurant is okay, the food is tasty, but the sauce in the Pizokel dish is very salty, and the toilets are not renovated. I recommend visiting because of the Swiss dishes.
