Regina in Beatenberg

On our "Jura-Cher" we like to stop in Les Rangier and have a coffee! The service is very nice and the restaurant is something special! Old military clothes, old banknotes and a canopy! Highly recommended for all kinds of occasions!

I love the hotel Regina. It's very comfortable and feels instantly inviting. The staff are friendly, the price is right, and the location is stunning, and I haven't even mentioned breakfast. The coffee and croissants were perfect.

The service is really lovely. The rooms are functional and clean. The hotel rates are reasonable and you get your money’s worth. The location is ideal for hikes, there are hiking trails all around.

Not very welcoming, and a shame because it's impossible to communicate with them. Good lunch except the bread is dry. And when leaving, don't ask us how our stay was.

Nice and extremely affordable hotel in a beautiful and quiet area. Traffic will not keep you awake here, because it is high on the mountain. The staff is really friendly! The owner came to have a chat and offer us a drink. The hotel itself is dated, but the beds are fine and the rooms are clean. The bathroom is cramped and less comfortable for tall people due to the high shower tray and low ceiling. Hence three stars for the room. A big plus is the roof terrace to which some of the rooms have access. A short distance from tourist attractions such as Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald, and a beautiful view over the lake at Interlaken. If you want to enjoy this environment, but not pay the top price, then this is definitely recommended. In the restaurant at the hotel they serve some local dishes and there is also a very extensive Asian menu with delicious dishes. Breakfast is well prepared. If you arrive before check-in time, you can drop off your luggage in advance. Sufficient parking space at the hotel itself. A bull's-eye for us for the second year in a row on a motorcycle transit through Switzerland.

Cheap hotel for being in Switzerland in August. In fact the structure is a bit dated, it should be renovated. If you arrive on Sunday there is no one to welcome you and you have to self check-in. Not that on other days you will have the opportunity to come into much contact with the staff, who are always busy elsewhere. The rooms are basic, I'm not sure if they have double beds, no they gave us two single beds pushed together but the bed frame didn't allow the mattresses to stay together, with a large gap of 20cm, which makes it a bit uncomfortable for a couple. Classic sheets were missing, replaced with single duvets. The bathroom had a bad smell, old too. There were no power outlets at the sides of the bed, making it difficult to charge cell phones or any other devices. The location is not bad, it allows you to enjoy a good view and in summer it is cooler. The breakfast was plentiful and varied of an international type. We didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant, so I can't comment on that... In the hall there are various arcade games, also dated but they are there, from billiards to darts, table football, etc. Overall it is a good solution if you don't want to spend too much in August or other facilities are already fully booked.

The hotel rooms are very old. Starting from the WiFi routers laying on the floor in the corridor, to completely unacceptable bathrooms. The room was clean and tidy, also the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast was good and the staff were polite. It's in a great location, but I consider it to be overpriced for what was offered.

I stopped only for a cold drink and a mango sorbet. Very friendly and tasty the things I ordered.

It needs renovation... The floor we were on was raised... I can't say that it wasn't clean, but the room was unacceptable... And of course very expensive for what it offered (148euro) The only good thing was the breakfast

If you're in the area or just in Interlaken then this is one restaurant you gotta try. Note that the hours are below: 11:00-14:00 17:00-21:00 Wow, hands down best food I've had my entire trip here in Switzerland. I might be a little biased since i am familiar with the dishes I ate but they were cooked perfectly. The satay came out hot and the sauce had the correct consistency. The crispy duck was perfectly cooked, but the brown sauce needed a little more depth. I am surprised they didn't list all the sauces as options for this dish since i am used to this dish coming with sweet and sour, brown, or peanut sauce. Either way I used my leftover peanut sauce from the satay as my 2nd optional dip. Note that the duck dish does not come with any vegetables. Update: I couldn't resist the crispy duck and came back again but this time had the Sichuan Duck with fried rice and it was even better.

It is a very quiet place, the rooms are a good size, the breakfast buffet is good, it takes a weight off your shoulders if you want to save a little. The boys are friendly. Very good place to stay, it's worth it... And it has a very nice view. Right in front of the hotel there is a Bus station, they run approximately every 30 minutes.

The whole hotel was no longer up to date and needed a general renovation. The breakfast was very clear, there was a salt shaker in the dining room!!! However, the location is great, with a view of the 4000 m peaks of the Bernese Oberland. The restaurant in the hotel was good.

Simple but good. I had a very simple single room with no closet, no table, no chair. Could be renovated. But clean. The price was reasonable for that. Very friendly staff! Good croissants for breakfast.

We only ate in the restaurant, without staying overnight Price/performance is right Friendly service (only English speaking, but that's ok).

Cute little place in Beatenberg. Authentic thai food. Family run restaurant by Thai people. Food is really good. We tried spicy and sour soup, veg spring rolls and fried noodles with chicken. Ice cream in the end was the winner. Must try if you love thai food

Online order. Everything was as ordered, very fine and cooked to perfection. Sauces separately in small bowls including chopsticks, fork, napkin and toothpicks. We always order here when we are in the region and have never been disappointed, we would happily do so again!

This hotel needs upgrading starting by removing billiard table and gaming machines from the reception area. Also more attention needed to cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms. Breakfast starting at 0830 is far too late. Otherwise an adequate hotel.

Best Asian restaurant in the area I have now really tried all the Asian restaurants in Interlaken and the surrounding area and I wouldn't order anywhere else, and all the people are really friendly and accommodating

It is an old hotel with a lot of overdue maintenance, it actually doesn't look like much. Reception was simple, nothing was said, here is the key.. The room is old-fashioned and very simple, there are 2 beds with bad mattresses, 1 of which has a broken slatted base. 2 chairs and a table. There are only 2 sockets in the room. No TV, refrigerator, safe, coffee or tea making facilities, no air conditioning or fan, nothing really 'luxury'. There is WiFi in the room if you sit against the door, there is actually no WiFi in the rest of the room. The bathroom is very small, the toilet seat was loose and the extractor contains so much dust that it hardly works. No hot water on the first day, this was resolved after we reported it. We had booked a room with a terrace, this was a roof terrace that you share with 5 more rooms, so 0 privacy, our 2 chairs were broken. The hotel is very noisy, you can hear the neighbors snoring. The breakfast is nice, nothing special, you have to cut your own bread, nothing wrong with that, but the knife is so blunt that this is almost impossible.. Conclusion far too expensive for what is offered, this was once and never again. Shame

Some of the staff are nice and some of them are not But the rooms are very bad The furniture and bedding are old. There is no TV, refrigerator, or kettle. Some rooms have a shared bathroom, and the balcony is also shared. What I advise I asked the employee to use the kitchen to make coffee. She also refused. There was no cooperation or interest

If you are planning for a week in Switzerland, I would highly recommend this place for couple of days. The staff is just amazing. Food is awesome. Bus Stop is right in front of the Hotel so you will get good connectivity to unterseen and Interlaken. Primary reason for my recommendation is the Terrace view, oh my goodness, what an experience. Just wake up, enjoy the view and walk around Beatenberg area. You will get good Swiss Experience. If you are like me who likes peaceful natural surroundings, you will love it. Make sure you take Terrace room only. Mr Jojo Tenzin you are awesome.

I've been ordering again and again for over a year. Delivery is quick and the suppliers are very friendly. The food also tastes very good. The only downside: I would like Thai food to be much spicier or would like the option to order it very spicy because I love eating spicy food. But as I said: Otherwise everything is perfect.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel. It's just a shame. We were looking forward to a delicious Thai meal. It wasn't really good, you could eat it but nothing more. The beef was of poor quality. The fried noodles and rice had a strange taste, something like fish, possibly fried in a pan where there was fish in it. The noodles were burnt. I don't think the good reviews are real.

The food and service wasn't great... The noodles had a burnt taste. Red Thay curry was very bland and you hardly noticed any of the curry. Fried rice with vegetables was also very bland and had hardly any vegetables in it. Red Thay Curry with beef had a fishy taste. I don't think the other Google reviews are real.

The food, service and location is great!! Don’t hesitate. Stop in for a bite and/or a beer! Really enjoyed the patio!

Good clean and different food .I can recommend it.

Food was good. Tofu and jasmine rice had an idiosyncratic taste to me. There was a huge portion for that. Salad was very tasty and fresh.

Service is on point. But the food wasn't great. For Asian there is better. Duck had no sauce. There were vegetables underneath and the meat was dry. The noodles are very soy-heavy. Ambience and menu very touristy. For me, fries don't belong on any Asian menu. It doesn't matter whether there are tourists there or not. I don't feel like spring rolls with fries when I want real Asian food. There were no chopsticks either, but I was too reticent to order them. I never eat Asian food with a knife and fork... but you should learn. Dessert was great for that.

The hotel and restaurant was purchased by the new owner about a year ago. The Chinese specialties are always top and very tasty! The service was friendly and attentive. A reliable and prompt delivery service and takeaway are also offered. Keep it up!

15 minutes from Interlaken. Good public transport connection. Great view from the terrace and the silence, made it perfect. Quick check in. Billiard and dart in the lobby. Breakfast was a ok. You get what you pay for and more. The Regina team is amazing.

Why this hotel has such good reviews is a mystery to me! Interior 60s! Facilities not available. Listen up! Normally you should close the part. This is a pure imposition. I suspect that the recessions are all faked. By far the worst place.

SUPER FRIENDLY SERVICE • VERY FINE FOOD • WITH PANORAMA ROOM • AT VERY FAIR PRICES A few days ago (during the lockdown) me and my wife went on vacation for a few days at the Hotel Regina in Beatenberg / Waldegg. It is a simply furnished hotel. However, it is clean and cheap by Swiss standards. The very kind manager Mr. Han and his employees did their absolute best (during this extremely difficult time) to make us comfortable. Kaffi was simply there for free! From the large terrace of our room, we had a wonderful view of the prominent mountains: Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and others. We can recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't need luxury and can enjoy the simple things in life. Unique nature with a “place of power on the Beatusweg” directly behind the house! Wir haben 2x während unseres Aufenthaltes hier bestellt. Speisen immer schön heiss, alles wie geordert und mit Besteck, wurde bis aufs Zimmer geliefert!!! Kontakt sehr freundlich und unkompliziert, Speisen super gewürzt und vom Reis, Ente bis zum Nudel Gericht sehr schmackhaft!!!!

Ich hatte die R sti mit Spiegelei - im Grunde eine Pfanne mit Rösti mit einem Spiegelei an der Spitze - und es war ziemlich gut! Die Kartoffeln waren schön gewürzt und das Ei war perfekt. Aber Sie zahlen viel - nicht nur hier, sondern überall - für einfache Rösti und ein Ei. Das Essen war eigentlich besser als das durchschnittliche Mittagessen, aber die Lage ist an einer belebten Kreuzung ohne eine anständige Aussicht. Aber wenn Sie in Waldegg eine Pause brauchen - oder einfach nur eine Wanderung beendet haben - können Sie es schlechter machen!

Wir versuchten ein paar Mal hier zu essen, aber es war nicht geöffnet. Als wir endlich eintrafen, war das Essen nur durchschnittlich. Wir hatten beide einen gemischten Salat, der gut war, Gerstensuppe, die mittelmäßig war und ein Schweineschnitzel, das auch mittelmäßig war. Wir und ein anderes Paar waren die einzigen, die aßen. Wir würden nicht zurückkehren oder empfehlen, dass jemand anderes gehen.

Comida rica, cara y poca variedad. No hay mucho donde escoger en Beatenberg y si uno no quiere manejar hasta Interlaken, no está tan mal
