Great local. Food brilliant and service impeccably quick. The menu offers something for everyone. We hopped out of the local completely happy and full. Highly recommended.

We fell in love with this little gem of a restaurant! The raclette and fondue are simply divine, with cheese that melts in your mouth and flavors that awaken the senses. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff add to the experience. I can't wait to come back and enjoy these comforting dishes again. A must for any foodie!

Friendly welcome, very beautiful view of Bulle - La-Tour-de-Trême from the veranda. Very good roast sausage from the region. Very good gourmet coffee. I recommend this restaurant.

We had coffees and hot chocolates in the morning and enjoyed it so much we came back to the same place for a late fondue after visiting the castle. The staff are kind and welcoming, and the view from the enclosed terrace over the ramparts is spectacular. Very special location.

One of the best soups I have ever tried

The site is located in the heart of Gruyere. We ordered the two cheese fondue to share and the veal with the hot stone to finish making it yourself. The food was good and the Site has good views if you sit on the back terrace. Everything went well even though the waiters didn't speak any English and only spoke to you in French, even if you told them that you didn't speak French. When we ask for the coffee She brought me coffee the way she wanted and even though I told her she didn't even make an attempt to change it for me. I really wouldn't go back, there are many places and the treatment is not correct at all. We paid 87.40 Swiss francs

Fondue was good! However it was a busy day and we have asked for a drink once that never arrived. We also asked for water 3 times, never arrived. We waited to pay more than 20mins after asking for the check. That caused a delayed departure.

Excellent half-and-half fondue (with bread and potatoes) enjoyed at Les Remparts on the evening of my partner's birthday, the two waitresses even gave us the pleasure of bringing him the candles (secretly sent by me) on the dessert and to sing a song for the occasion. The restaurant has a covered terrace with panoramic views at the back, and at the front looks directly onto the main square of Gruyère which is very charming.

We had a great time! The fondue is excellent, we have never had one so good!!! The welcome is great, the two waitresses were very friendly! We have adored ! Thanks again 🙏🏼

Wonderful atmosphere and magnificent view

Half and half fondue of very good quality, a good meal overall. Big downside despite that, the veranda on the rampart side is infested with flies, both on the plate and on the people, very unbearable.. The service is pleasant and the staff has a smile! Mixed visit..

Rude owner, we just went in and ask whether they have any available tables for later since it was lunch time, the owner proceed to just shoo’d us out of the restaurant waved her arms and menu around, we felt so embarrassed

I came during my stay in Switzerland 🇨🇭 Passing through the small town of Gruyère 🧀 We wanted a fondue 🫕 And we enjoyed ourselves in this little restaurant at the entrance to the castle, the lady who was supposed to be the manager was very kind despite being understaffed, she was very available. We ordered two fondues and the charcuterie platter with two bottles of Swiss wine 🇨🇭 And my 3 year old son took a children's plate but he couldn't finish because the portions were generous. The little extra if you are installed indoors, the view of the valley! In short, I recommend it for anyone passing through the area.

Nice restaurant in the old town of Gruyere. Being the old city, the car leaves it about 100 meters away, until you reach the top, there is a slope. Very nice view at the end of the premises. My experience was very good, the food was very delicious, we didn't have much waiting time for the service, the staff was very friendly and attentive. There is a children's menu.

French customers, came last week. Atypical place and beautiful view. However, we were shocked that the starters were taken away from us while we were still eating, to put the dishes on us. Never seen. The prices are a bit high but the location surely justifies it.

This is the second time we have come to this superb restaurant with a panoramic view of the ramparts. Our friends were happy to discover this place! The half-and-half fondue is excellent! The value for money is interesting and the staff are very pleasant and attentive!

Restaurant with simple but balanced cuisine. The dishes are good and well seasoned. The panoramic terrace offers a breathtaking view of the ramparts and the service is impeccable and with a smile and humor! Prices are not given but we also pay for the location and the view.

Run away! The waitress is extremely rude and starts talking to us in French even though we only speak German. I haven't eaten there so can't speak to the quality of the food, but would never eat where people treat others so badly.

We had a large group and everyone had something they wanted. Everything was very good! It is better to book and be a little patient in case of high traffic.

The WORST service. Very rude waitress, speaks bad and calls customers stupid when they can't talk French! Sorry for her, thinking we couldn't understand her. Trust the negative reviews here, we fell victim to her too. Management should do something about her attitude, specially this is a tourist place. Food was okay, not the best. But bad service will be worse than bad food. Not very kind at all. Will give a negative review if possible!

If you are a tourist and you don’t speak French better evitate having some food even if the fondue was good. Rude waitress bad talking about me and my fiancée with other costumers well was funny we can understand her. The atmosphere is ok but no air conditioning at all and there is fire going on for the different type of food cooking live so it was very hot.

Good food, lousy swiss waitress. We had lunch on 18/06/23. Waitress refused to explain us deserts taken on the table next to us, saying that she doesn’t want to waist her saliva (spittle) and that all deserts are explained in the menu. We paid without desert and coffee, and without tips, given the circumstance. What a miserable waitress we ran into, the exact opposite of what hospitality should be.

We came across this restaurant by chance during our trip to the village of Gruyères and it was a great experience. The food is very good, the setting is idyllic and the staff are really kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is wonderful. The welcome, the service and the cuisine nothing to say. I really advise you to eat a fondue and the double cream meringue. If you go to Gruyere, you must eat at this restaurant.

I highly recommend this restaurant, we were very well received and the final touch of chocolate filled with Gruyère cream with the coffee was incredible!!

Unpleasant staff, the waitress told us that she did not have time to wait 5 minutes to take our orders. While some of the customers do not speak French or German. Looks like we're bothering him. Unpleasant service, I do not recommend everything, absolutely do not come.

There are many cheese fondue shops nearby, but a Swiss foodie brought me here and said this one was the best.

Quality, fast and attentive service

We enjoyed Traditional fondue, it was great. Rose wine, blanche beer and pizza for kids were also lovely.

Quality service, very welcoming waitresses and the half-and-half fondue is a must-try. The little extra to have is the green salad which is also excellent. Go there with your eyes closed!

Very warm welcome, but it is preferable to book. Fondue is the specialty but other dishes are very good too. The wine is excellent. The bill is a little steep but in Switzerland that's normal. We asked for a second bottle of water but it never arrived.

We ate very well, the staff were really very helpful. The Chalet soup, the platter and the gourmet coffee dessert, top! We have adored ! We will return

A sublime setting, impeccable service from friendly and smiling staff, very good and affordable dishes, what more could you ask for?

The fondue and raclette were excellent! It came with plenty of bread and potatoes. The kids also loved the chicken nuggets and fries.

The view and the desert was nice but the service was aweful. You won’t get a smile and even if the place is empty, be ready for a long wait.

Food was pretty average overall. The portions were big but the dishes were quite salty and the rosti seemed a little under grilled.

TO RUN AWAY! I'm not the type to rate an establishment poorly but this is obligatory... unfortunately First we arrive at 8:00 p.m. we ask kindly if they have a table for 4, the waitress who is angry coldly seats us… Afterwards the food is not bad but the service is cold, it seems like we are bothering them. And finally the CHF - Euros exchange rate is at the head of the client, I asked where the rate she gave us was displayed, and she told me that it was in her head and that it would not change not.

There were 9 of us, including 5 children aged between 5 and 1 year old, and we were very well received. The half and half fondue was delicious, we really enjoyed it. The kids had (homemade) nuggets and fries! We will come back

Excellent lamb finished on a hot stone. The pickles were missing from our potato and cheese fondue. The creme brûlée was not fully formed. The local Chasselas was excellent!

We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday when there weren't many people there. The atmosphere was therefore comfortable, there was no tourist noise. We enjoyed the taste of the dishes and the beautiful view from the window on the terrace.

Really a very good surprise, I didn't expect to eat so well. One of the best cheese fondues of my life, the people with me ate other dishes that were also very good. Atypical with the waitresses in traditional outfits, crockery and a period restaurant. (A smell of cheese) However reserved if you want a place on the panoramic terrace on Sunday there was no more room.
