Restaurant Caumasee in Flims

This is a self-service restaurant, luckily we visited in September so at least we didn't have to pay the entry ticket, but it was still very crowded. The food is quite basic and the choice is limited. Prices are high. After queuing up we still had to wait at the table until our food was prepared.

The place is of course unbeatable. The choice of food could be more varied. Usual “Badi” prices (a bit expensive). Dogs are only allowed up to the restaurant. However, you have to download an app so that you can order. Gets points for it though. (Great idea!)

Beautiful lake, but the swimming pool is a complete rip-off. We were on the driveway, i.e. before the bathing season and 15 Fr.-/adults and 7.50 Fr.- for children without being able to swim is a disgrace. If you just want to go to the restaurant you pay 9.50 francs and get 5 francs back with your consumption. With a daily entrance fee of 15 Fr. - there is no return in the restaurant where you eat anyway, as there is no other one far and wide. And the best thing is, with the restaurant entry for 4 Fr. - I can also go to the lake and everywhere, and there are no checks. That means whoever pays the daily entrance fee is the stupid one

Expensive snackbar type food. Self-service with long queues. Recommend to bring your own food and eat in the grassy area. Toilets are dirty.

Wonderfull place directly at the caumasee. Good, helpfull service and nice drinks. Kids playing at the waterline and we're nipping our wines!

Lake Cauma alone is worth the journey. Everything was very well developed for tourism. Maybe too good if too many come 😉. The restaurant is practical and has a nice view over the lake. What was a little unpleasant was the toilet, not clean and partially blocked. More attention should be paid here. Will I come back? Yes, of course ☺️

You can do mobile ordering with the Laax app. This is very practical. The food was good the view of the lake is fabulous.

Beautiful Blue Lake. Entrance Fee 19fr pp quite expensive, but they had to build a Wall against the hordes of tourists. We paid 5fr. for visit of the Restaurant max 90min. Walked then around the Lake to take pictures without the surounding fence. 5Fr. Fee is then also a voucher. But make sure to show it before ordering. Welcome to Switzerland! 😄

Really fantastic location and enchanting place. Good concept that you can pay back the (discounted) restaurant entrance fee straight away. Generally free entry in the evenings. On a beautiful summer evening, eating there is pure relaxation. Reservation recommended. Unfortunately I can only judge the food from the self-service area.

Food leaves a lot to be desired. Menu only fast food and snacks. Very expensive! Self-service like in the canteen.

A great place to visit with turquoise water, fantastic for switching off. You pay 5 CHF for entry to the restaurant, but this is considered a voucher and will be credited there. The food was good and tasty.

The location right on the lake is beautiful. It's a shame that the ordering service via the app doesn't work if you want to redeem the voucher.

Beautiful place. One of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland. The water has a wonderful color and is clear. Admission to the swimming pool is paid, but you can also walk the path around the lake for free and swim on the other side.

19 francs daily admission to a (albeit beautiful) lake is excessive. But that alone wouldn't have been a reason for me to review. The service in the restaurant left me speechless. Several employees were rude, only one young woman (blonde and with glasses) was helpful. The problem was that we couldn't order for half an hour - there were technical difficulties online and in person at the bar we were overwhelmed. The music was also much too loud on that Saturday, July 15th, and the DJ and his cronies were unkempt. Lake Cresta was recommended to me as an alternative.

Incompetent and rude personal (the one with the red short hair is the worst). The app to order food was not working and the order at the bar took 1 hour. Music played by the dj was too loud. Never again.

A place where you can sit peacefully, rest and have something to eat. Entrance is paid, but the entrance fee is deducted from the account at the restaurant.

Look, I just loved it. It's a shame that everything here in Switzerland has to be paid for. When you find something free you have to take advantage of it. In this lake the best side is paid. But if you're not too lazy to walk, there's the other side that you don't have to pay for. And with more shade than sun, you still get a lot of use out of it. Haaaa don't be like us, we didn't know that the elevator there is free. So take the opportunity to come up and pray for him.

Cozy place for swimming: pedalos, small island, raft, playground, picnic area, ice cream stand with a lot of selection, 2 restaurant terraces to linger, free lift up/down to the parking lot/lake...

Great place to switch off, beautiful bike paths/hiking trails through the forests.

Beatiful landscape, but the entrance to the coast restricted for the clients of the restaurant, that is not good.

Nice lake. The parking system requires payment with CH coins or a special app for smartphones. Payment by card or SMS is missing for people with ordinary phones. There are different tickets for swimming and for the restaurant...

For 19.- rather expensive... I'm willing to pay this... However, for this price I expect a certain level of cleanliness etc. But the toilets in the restaurant are an absolute disgrace. The doors were broken, the faucets were the same, the bucket was overfilled, and there was no paper in any of the toilets. Ordering food via the app is very tedious. But the food tasted very tasty. Next time I wouldn't pay the entrance fee and enjoy the lake and the walk behind the fence :)

Me and my best friend were there. We say once and never again. The food was good. But very expensive. We wanted to order food with this strange app. We tried to order 3 times but in vain. My girlfriend then personally wanted to clarify things with an employee. (Red hair) and was served very unfriendly. This woman even ran twice. After a long discussion, my friend was able to place an order. When our order was brought to us at the table, we immediately saw half of it was missing... Now we had to complain again. The toilet in short is a disaster, no toilet paper, not clean and you can't even close the door... As I said, 19.- entry and then something like that. NO THANKS

We were there with the family and paid around 20 euros each. That's just for the entrance fee and you have to pay extra for the equipment like benches or boats and I find that very expensive. You only pay for half of the space, which is cordoned off with a fence. Otherwise the rest is free and you don't have to pay anything. I recommend not paying either and visiting the free place of See.

Food is like trash. They serve the lowest quality of food and advertise it a premium food for a high price. You get better food at any fast food restaurant. I ordered fried chicken and got industry-like mix of a white paste that did not resemble any chicken and probably never was a chicken. What a shame for this beautiful place.

It is a must-see, because in addition to being a beautiful and quiet natural environment, the walk along its paths until reaching the lake itself is very pleasant, it has an elevator to return (perfect for people with reduced mobility) but the distances from the multiple Parking to the place is around 1000m. Something that must be taken into account.

Were there today and spent a wonderful day at the beautiful Lake Cauma. It was still early season and we had the lake almost to ourselves. Great restaurant with very friendly and motivated employees.

A cozy restaurant with a lovely terrace right on the lake. You could order the food in the restaurant and then it would be brought to you. We were completely satisfied with everything, then a nice walk through the forest, with a partial view of the lake, back to the car.

A very beautiful lake, but not freely accessible. For the restaurant 5 chf which will then be charged. Admission to the lake with a guest card is 8 chf and the lounger costs 8 chf extra.

A magical place in the middle of beautiful nature. A true miracle and a fascinating color of water. I recommend everyone to visit this place and relax.

A black-haired cashier who spoke very broken German told me the cash register was closed and billed. Your friends who came 5 minutes after me were able to pay for their coffees and muffins and take them with them. When I asked her about it, she reacted quite annoyed and aggressively. Tip from me, take your drinks with you!

Short and sweet... A DREAMY PLACE.

A large outdoor seating area right on the sweet Lake Cauma creates a great atmosphere. The staff is very open, young, dynamic and friendly, which makes it easier for you to ask anything that is unclear. The kitchen is very good and has that certain something, the whole thing just fits together really well.

Unfortunately the restaurant is closed even though Google says it is open. Too bad, please don't kid anyone

You have to order and pay for food and drinks in the restaurant using the app! 5.50.- for 5dl Coca-Cola. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! The mountain lake is breathtakingly beautiful!

Beautiful lake with paid entry during high season. It is powered by underground currents. There is a children's play area and the possibility of renting sunbeds for tanning. You go down on foot and if you want to go up the steepest stretch there is the funicular. Refreshment point. Ideal for walking in the summer.

Beautiful lake with a fantastic color. Unfortunately, it was completely overcrowded in the summer due to the Instagram hype. Would never come here in July/August. Nice walk around the lake 20-25 minutes and free lift/funicular from the restaurant.

Superb lake but very busy in summer during this season there is an entrance fee. There is paid parking but it fills up quickly. You can get there easily by bus.

Serene and beautiful place in Flims. It is a touristic hotspot and would therefore recommend not to go during main holiday season. Nevertheless, never fails to impress!

Unfortunately only 3 stars. Only applies to that restaurant. We were there early in the morning. The restaurant team was still busy cleaning. I expect every restaurant to be ready when it opens. Sitting on wet chairs outdoors and waiting for the tables to dry is a no go. If you're not 100% ready, I'll be the last person to say anything. Incidentally, you only finished cleaning 1 1/2 hours after opening. I've been at Lake Cauma early in the morning for years, but I've never experienced anything like this. The staff also implemented what they saw...e.g. latte macchiato with cinnamon on top.

Nature belongs to all people and not just wealthy payers. Maintenance must be carried out using tax funds or the lake must be completely fenced in with a ban on swimming.

The entrance fees to the swimming pool are far too high! At the moment the lake is not turquoise, but "only" greenish like Lake Cresta.

The place is idyllic, at the bar-restaurant (self-service + Natel) there is a bit of everything, lots of places to sit outside, in case of bad weather it's best to avoid it, there are few tables indoors, but the nature is beautiful , the lake can be reached with a covered chairlift if desired, the paths are in perfect condition, a perfect trip for all young and old, entry cost 19.- francs for adults, and 9.50 for children, in the park it is possible to rent pedal boats, sunbeds, and there are many children's playgrounds

No table service. The table where we seated (the only one available) had glasses from the previous guest and nobody took it away. The staff was totally rude: they don’t greet you, don’t thank, they barely talk. We ordered 2 cappuccini and a slice of cake (20CHF, after the 19CHF per person entry), needless to say it was overpriced and -to my taste- not that good. They don’t tell you anything so you’re left waiting, wondering where you have to go. My mom tried to take a trail to put the coffees and from the other side of the room there was a lady shouting that she can’t use that. Also another fun fact: they don’t even give you sugar with your coffee, you have to ask for it. The location is nice because the lake is pretty, but the restaurant is nothing special and the staff definitively should be a bit more mannered. I don’t recommend coming here at all.
