The former ski restaurant is now visited by hikers, snowshoers and ski tourers seeking peace and quiet. Here you can eat very well and enjoy a magnificent view over half of Valais.

The restaurant is in a wonderful location with a beautiful mountain panorama. Good food and very friendly service.

One of the best mountain hotels(run by a local family) we’ve ever been to! Located in a best possible mountain top in Valais, offering you a unique and unparalleled experience with mesmerizing view of the snowy peaks and the valleys and of course the setting Sun. Friendly staffs. Cozy small rooms (some of them even with magnificent view of the mountains). Decent breakfast buffet and good dinner options with homemade brewery. Paid Sauna-service and Complementary sledging cart options are also you would love to try. Bonus is the- snowcart taxi journey that takes you from Ernen/Mühlebach to the hotel!

The hotel is beautiful, very remote and intensely relaxing. The sauna and whirlpool can be booked privately and the food in the restaurant is exquisite. The hike up is pleasant, alternatively, the snow taxi is a great option. We loved that the hotel is pet friendly!

The hotel is beautifully located a bit out of the way and can be reached via a steep path. The view is wonderful. The hotel is run by a young, very committed and friendly team. There are rooms with shared bathrooms and rooms with private bathrooms. Depending on how big your wallet is. We think it's a great option so you can enjoy the hotel's amenities for less money. Our room was very nice and clean, just a little small. But as I said, the price-performance ratio is great. There were even bathrobes in the low room category. You can use the small wellness area upon registration. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality. Particularly noteworthy: I had specially baked gluten-free rolls for breakfast. This is not something you find very often, at least as a standard. You can hike directly from the hotel or take advantage of one of the numerous activities in the nearby Aletscharena (highly recommended: hike to Märjelensee and directly to the edge of the glacier). We would definitely come again.

Excellent food with rustic presentation. Original and wholesome ingredients (btw beets on pulled Beef burgers), superior quality burrata on salad. Stupendous view. If access by car, 4km single lane (mostly paved) with turnouts. Otherwise hike or bike. A real treat!!

We stayed at the Chäserstatt hotel for one night. The hotel is perched on top of a mountain, which gives it a magnificent view. However, if you have opted for the standard rooms, expect a door that does not close from the outside, non-existent soundproofing and bedding that leaves something to be desired. We also ate at the restaurant. Besides the exorbitant prices, the dishes are very good. Concerning the service, as a hotel guest we received a paper placed on the bed upon arrival offering us an aperitif (2 beers). We had the 2 beers the evening we arrived and saw the paper when we went to bed. The next day, the staff did not want to deduct the aperitif in question from the bill. Just before, a member of staff told us we had to wait 30 minutes to check out even though we were ready to leave. In conclusion, surely a pleasant hotel if you take the most expensive rooms. The standard rooms are clearly neglected.

The strenuous 2-hour climb was definitely worth it. An incredible mountain panorama is waiting for you! Plus delicious, exclusive dishes. My recommendation is the Black Angus Burger - taste explosion! There are only a few working mountain inns in the area, so we enjoyed our stop here even more.

A dream! Up with snowshoes and then paradise is just wow! Great service and delicious food (the butter and fresh bread are worth highlighting) with the rich Chäserstatt plate, which is awesome and then the Chäserstatt coffee (great cream with lots of pome fruit schnapps) but hello??!! Be sure to experience it, because there is also the amazing view: Z'Wallis, in your heart. Phew... the descent was really easy after that. :-)

I had one of the best weekends away ever. The hotel is in a very beautiful location with stunning views. I loved the ride to the hotel by the snow taxi. when we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and genuinely friendly. It’s been a while since I’ve experienced such hospitality where every single member of staff have been authentically welcoming. we felt looked after at all times. The food was delicious and I tried every single beer they had and some wine. the spa was a perfect way to finish our stay. our dogs loved the snow. we feel very relaxed and will definitely come back. thank you and keep doing what you’re doing.

You can eat very tasty food there, especially the soups and stews are excellent. The climb is worth it every time. From Mühlebach it takes around 1:30 to 2 hours. You can walk down the road, which is 8km, but much less strenuous than the steep, narrow path up.

We stayed at the Berghotel Chäserstatt for 2 nights. We received a very friendly welcome. An absolute highlight is the wellness area with pool and a breathtaking view of the mountains. The rooms were simply furnished and very clean, but unfortunately very noisy and small. There were two shared bathrooms. All in all it was a nice stay.

The road to get there is a little complicated (narrow, quite a few curves and unpaved in some sections) but it is worth it. The staff is very attentive and pleasant, we arrived late and the kitchen was already closed but they still offered us a couple of options for hot dishes for dinner. The room was cozy, the bed comfortable, the shared bathroom spacious and clean. The views were fabulous and we were able to be with our dogs without any inconvenience.

Hotelzimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet. Kleiner Wellnessbereich mit Aussen-Whirlpool. Motto klein aber fein. Essen vorzüglich. Corona Massnahmen aus meiner Sicht gut umgesetzt.

Tolles Package, Restaurant ist super, einfache regionale Küche. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser 3er Standardzimmer war einfach aber hübsch eingerichtet. Aussenwhirlpool mit toller Aussicht. Empfehlenswert👍

Und es war jeden Rappen wert.Liebevoll eingerichtet, perfekte Mischung zwischen Modern und Alphüttenfeeling. Das Essen im Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die Schneeschuhe durften wir gratis ausleihen und das Schneetaxi war auch eine lustige Erfahrung. Das Berghotel auf 1777 M.ü.M ist wirklich ein schöner Ort um sich vom Alltag zu erholen. Das Essen in diesem Hause ist gewiss nicht billig, aber der Preis ist es allemal wert, bei all den frischen, regionalen, mit liebe zubereiteten Speisen. Auch das Ambiente und Personal tragen ihren Teil dazu.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!
