The latter is starting to be clean!! when my grandson wanted to go to the toilet for his needs he did not dare to go to the toilet, afraid of the hand drying machines. I still found the atmosphere on the terrace too quiet for a campsite. Quiet is good but too much is a bit sad, I would have preferred to hear people and children having fun. I also noticed too many notice boards concerning prohibitions, like don't do this, don't do that, don't do that etc... also at the swimming pool right next to the terrace

I'll say it straight away: the place was nice, the sanitary facilities were clean and the attached restaurant was good - actually 4 points. But something really bothered us: as day tourists, we wanted a place for a small tent and our bikes after a 100 km trek. We drive without a battery, so we don't need a power connection. So we checked in at reception. Clearly something wasn't right with the lady at the reception. Was it our poor French? Was it our bike packing gear? "Avez-vous réservé?" she asks harshly. We dont have. Should we? Yes, because they had no more space available, everything was reserved and fully booked. After a lot of back and forth, she offered us “one last available seat at the bottom in a corner.” When we moved into the place (see photo) we were amazed - yawning emptiness as far as the eye could see! We knew immediately that these free spaces would never be filled until the gates closed and that we would simply be brushed off as uninteresting cycle tourists (who don't even need a power connection). The fact that the lady from the reception then visited us with a guilty conscience and half-apologetically asked how we were and how satisfied we were didn't make things any better. It should write in capital letters “CYCLISTS NOT WELCOME - CYCLISTES NON LES BIENVENUS” on the website or at the entrance. So we could head straight to a place that welcomes cyclists.
