Restaurant Fontana in Scuol

Excellent, authentic Italian cuisine where you wouldn't expect it. The local dishes were also excellent. Friendly crew who speak almost only Italian.

Graubünden specialties were quite ok. Unfortunately, I was the only one in the group who ordered a Pizza Vegetariana. This was carelessly topped and moderately crispy.

We ate here 3 times during our ski holiday week. We enjoyed it so much! The service was super accommodating! Thank you! We would be happy to come back to the Fontana restaurant at any time!

All dishes were fresh, beautifully prepared and very tasty. Friendly and attentive service. We have been guests at the Fontana several times and can highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I was not served like a king (although I did wear a royal crown on my head), and the condition addressed us in gibberish of English and Romansh. Very disappointed (as there was no ice cream) we asked for another restaurant with ice cream, to which we received a clear no. When we then briefly went to the tourist information center and asked about the restaurant we were looking for, we were given a wide range of different restaurants and cafes that offer ice cream. Accordingly, we came to the conclusion that the waitress had brazenly deceived us.

In Restaurant Fontana the service and the food are very good. I can only recommend the Engadien specialties. If you are in the Lower Engadien, it is worth taking a detour to Sent. <Capun's Engadien style>

Tuesday 08/15/23 12:20 p.m.: Open since 9:30 a.m. according to Google Maps, but actually closed. That's not how you treat your guests! Restaurant responded. One point increased.

Burger with very tasty cheese and sauce! Pizza a super hit, with straciatella cheese. Service was very accommodating and warm (also kind) and above all funny. The house wine (Merlot) is recommended.

What a joy to find a restaurant with vegan options! We really enjoyed the excellent food prepared with great taste and love. Both the cook and Estela were very kind and had a big heart. Thank you very much and we can really recommend it.

We came to this restaurant by chance on our first visit. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. Funny conversations about Italy and Switzerland ensued, and Elisabetta spontaneously prepared Arancini di Riso for us. Wow, so welcoming. On the second visit we enjoyed the Mother's Day menu. There was tender roast pork, crispy, delicately seasoned fried potatoes, steamed carrots and breaded zucchini rolls. For dessert, a specialty from Elisabetta, indescribably delicious, a kind of tiramisu with strawberries. The house gave us a grappa to go with the espresso. Thank you very much! I can recommend a visit to Fontana to everyone. The language was also good, even though we don't speak Italian or Romanian. We'll definitely come back.

Visited at lunchtime. Good a la carte dishes. Portion size not big. Price/performance ratio is rather upper limit but overall it's okay. German language skills in service need to be improved. The visit is definitely worth it.

We were thrilled from A to Z. Starting with the service (attentive, friendly, fast), through the salad, the Engadine specialties (the Graubünden barley soup was a dream, as were the capuns and the pizokel), the tiramisù (wonderfully light) and the grappa. The prices are fair for the excellent quality of the food. If you're looking for something to complain about - the furnishings could be a little more comfortable. All in all highly recommended!

Since no other restaurant was open, we chose this restaurant. The decor is a bit old but the service was polite and attentive. The menu also has a variety to offer. No star cuisine but the price-performance ratio is ok

Not nice service, hamburger slimy, with canned mushrooms and far too many mushy onions, hamburger bread was cold. Fries ok.

The food was good but we were very surprised at the price of the Forelle. At CHF 52.50 way too high. Of course it was not on the menu and just advertised, without the price, on the board outside. So watch out for surprises with the prices.

A super cozy little restaurant, with very friendly, courteous staff. I can only warmly recommend the burger. It was super tasty and plentiful, I could eat one again.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of town with two small terraces. Some places with mountain views. Very nice service. Large menu from pizza to hamburgers to ice cream specialties. Unfortunately the trout from the inn was fried to death and therefore quite dry. The sticky plate decoration was in the wrong place so you could get your arm dirty. Since it was only open for a few days after the Coronimus closure, there is hope that the kitchen will improve once it is operational again.

We ordered spaghetti with clams and cozze marinara for lunch on Friday. Later we ate at home and it was sensational! Fresh mussels and the taste was excellent. The staff and the boss were very nice to us and we would like to come back!
