Restaurant Kapelle in Benken (SG)

This is a family-run restaurant, and this is very clearly reflected in the experience you get. The place is small, traditionally decorated, and cosy. Food is traditional, Swiss-European cuisine. But boy what a food it is! We had a three-course dinner there: pumpkin soup for starter, deer sirloin with red cabbage Spaetzli and other sides, and plum sorbet/red currant parfait for dessert. The quality of the food exceeds the expectations and it is an outstanding quality at a good price. Fresh, home-made, elegant but not at all intimidating, highly recommended.

Food was very tasty, really good cooks. The Cordon Bleu was also very tasty! Really inexpensive. The restaurant also looks very nice. Only the service left something to be desired. Didn't even ask if everything was okay, didn't notice that we all had empty glasses and their motivation wasn't apparent either. We still gave a tip, but we weren't thanked, which was a shame. It should be mentioned that the restaurant wasn't full, so stress can't be an argument. The temperature in the restaurant is relatively high, so you get very tired very quickly ;) But we would go again if we are in the area.

Entrance for unloading here 47.188129, 8.995157. Then we go straight and left. I was met on the street and while they were unloading, they hospitably offered me croissants and coffee in their indoor dining room. The documents were handed over on the ramp. 10 stars
