Today we were at the Igeho in Basel. Normally I can only speak highly of the Romer company. Today, however, you really hit the jackpot. Sorry. I was 4. including my mother, 85, and her partner, 93, absolutely mentally and physically fit. We were at Prodega at 12 p.m. and there was Chilli con Carne on the menu, which unfortunately wasn't what my parents wanted. Since we didn't have breakfast or a snack and we arrived at the fair at 12 o'clock, we were hungry accordingly. Well, I thought we'd go to Romer's, that's THE address. I asked very politely, can I buy 4 cheesecakes? The answer was no, you can't buy anything, which I also knew. However, I didn't want to cheekily just fill my stomach for free, which is difficult with small pieces of Apero pastries. I then said there were 4 of us, which didn't particularly impress the nice gentleman and he told me he couldn't give any more, okay. Right next door was Chicco Doro coffee where I knew someone. We enjoyed a coffee there and then my 85 year old mother said she wanted a nut croissant. I went back to Romer it was the size of apero pastries, I waited but I was ignored by ALL 5 employees and stood there for 10 minutes guaranteed!!!!!! It didn't feel like 10 minutes. Well a little later we went to Saviva and had Thai food including delicious sausages brought to the table. With a full stomach we went to Pacovis because I needed an offer. We were treated to drinks and a large slice of hot meat loaf, incl. Potato salad spoils you. And a delicious ice cream on top. We were absolutely well served and very polite and absolutely TOP. Well, I also realize that a trade fair is expensive if I want to buy something and I'm not allowed to buy anything and I can't get it for free either. Then I ask myself why you would take a 6-figure amount in your hand and present yourself. I'm sorry but I had to share my experience. I wish you continued good business, Mfg.

Great bakery! What I think is really great are the vegan croissants. I would really appreciate it if there were more vegan options. The rest of the range is very large, from frozen products to fresh goods. Top quality & friendly advice and support.

The rye bread is still frozen in the middle after 20 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees. It also contains ingredients (e.g. glucose, E300, etc.) that would actually be less expected in an original bread.

The people in the store are very friendly and helpful. But the office is a disaster. I applied for a customer number about 4 months ago. And despite multiple orders, they are unable or unwilling to make one for my small business. On the phone it always means we don't exist. Are small restaurants lacking good customers? ????

The selection is varied and the prices are appropriate for the package quantities. For a break with coffee and cake or other sweets after shopping or otherwise, the store's own bistro is ideal. The staff is friendly, attentive, polite and service- and help-oriented.

Every now and then our truck drives up to Romer's home bakery to deliver tons of flour. Everyone greets you in a friendly manner, there is space to maneuver, it is clean and, as if that wasn't enough, you can eat in your canteen as a delivery chauffeur. If only it were like this everywhere...
