Quite okay, but waited 20 minutes for a portion of fries... the chef is behind the counter with little passion. Cashier staff very friendly.

It is ok when you are hungry after the mountains, but the waiting time at 14:00 on Sunday was 45min for all dishes (only soup was ready).

Seldom seen something so disorganized. I had to wait 35 minutes for fries. Cashier friendly. Kitchen unfriendly and unsuitable. A short time later, the kitchen was closed. A pity

A very welcome opportunity to eat after a rainy run from Kriens to Krienseregg. Tagliatelle very well done. 👍 Cheese croissants with applesauce are delicious. A fine Gotthard beer with it....

FURTHERMORE, ALL EMPLOYEES - FROM THE SERVICE TO THE COOK - (EXCEPT THE EXECUTIVE FLOOR!) ARE PAID UNDERGROUND AND AS A RESULT, THERE IS ALWAYS A LOT OF STAFF CHANGE... OF COURSE THIS HAS BEEN A CONTINUING ISSUE FOR THE LOCAL FOR YEARS! -- IT'S A PATH THAT THE STAFF IS NOT REALLY APPRECIATE AND PAYED DECENTLY; IT'S A COMPANY WITH HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS IN REVENUE... Great lunch stop! While it's a pretty small menu, we all found something delicious. Our favorite was definitely the mac and cheese (I know that's not the official name of the dish, but I don't know what else to call it). Beautiful setting overlooking when of my kids' new favorite playground.

Unfortunately, since there was a self-service restaurant, it is no longer so recommendable!

Today we were allowed to have a coffee inside at 5 to 4 (four was our own closing time)...

A bit chaotic in terms of operation and service in general. A lot of hectic. There was also no time to check the (existing) certificate... How is that supposed to work when one person checks out, serves coffee and then has to check... You can't share. Food was great.

It's a self-service restaurant, rather small and nice. Don't have too high expectations. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The location is a dream, as you can enjoy the hours of sunshine to the full on the terrace. About 20 - 30 meters further down is the Pilu children's playground with at least 6 barbecue areas where you can grill your own sausages. There are enough seats and tables, definitely worth a trip when the weather is nice. Whether on foot or by gondola, kids enjoy it.

Oh well. 'Menus' very, very, very simple and yet quite expensive: fries and chicken nuggets or spaghetti with a ready-made sauce or pizza a la 'frozen'. Don't get me wrong: I understand that not everything (or nothing) can be freshly prepared here. Then the prices should be accordingly.

Simple option for a quick decent meal. My pizza was good and there was a few beers to choose from.

We were able to enjoy a great birthday dinner with good food and great hospitality and service. The ingredients were fresh and beautifully presented and the fine tiramisu was airy and delicate. Thank you for this wonderful day.

Went there first thing in the morning and had a drink. Very nice and friendly staff. We stopped there in the afternoon to eat. It was a very good pizza and again friendliness was very important... I can only recommend it...

After a nice hike, I would have been happy about a delicious Röschti with bratwurst, Älplermacronen or something similar. Apart from pizza and pasta and nuggets with fries, there was only one plate (for 10.50 with bread from the day before yesterday), which is a shame... Next time I will consider other restaurants on Krienseregg.

Unfortunately the food is below average. The whole restaurant smelled like rancid grease. Prices were okay. One had the feeling that the boss was extremely overwhelmed with the Corona situation, as if it had only been there for a day. I think there is still a lot of potential for improvement.

We spent a lovely day on Krienseregg on November 15th, 2020 in the large playground. Everything was perfect until we decided to eat something in the Krienseregg restaurant because we were very hungry. We ordered 2x chicken nuggets with fries (large portion which cost 19.90 each!!!) and 1x penne with ham cream sauce, a Sinalco and a still water. All in all it cost us 68.-! When we first waited at least 20 minutes for the food, we were actually shocked when we saw the mini portions. At first we thought it was a joke. But no, it was just a fact! We paid a whopping 19.90 for a children's portion (which a 3 year old child would have managed to eat alone)!!!! Absolute impudence when it comes to the price/performance ratio, we have never experienced anything like it! It was definitely our first and last time eating there!

Now I'm disappointed! Why is it only open on weekends?! on a day like yesterday or today. High fog, wonderful sunshine on the terrace and all the tables full of disappointed sun-hungry guests. The playground is busy. Just the rest! Why ??????????? I wrote this 9 months ago...with 5 stars. The location is simply great. Sun terrace all day in summer and winter. The former Swiss kitchen would be converted into a pizza pasta self-service. The freshly made pizza tastes delicious

...«the family-friendly Krienseregg restaurant is all about pizza and pasta.» It's pathetic - how the management allows such a restaurant in a fantastic location to deteriorate. Step by step, season after season, the guest experience goes down the drain. We were (and still are... thanks go to the remaining, super-friendly staff) always enjoyed going to this restaurant. But the offer, the now even more limited operating hours and the atmosphere devoid of comfort are already sending an unmistakable message to my face as a guest: We don't want or need you! With friendliness and attentiveness, the staff goes out of their way to disguise the poor catering concept. Actually - if I remember my/our last visits - we ONLY go there because of these people. Otherwise: failed! Sad but true. It probably won't be long before even the most stubborn people will stay away. Which then becomes confirmation that the store can now definitely be closed and used for an unconcealedly commercial and dehumanized function.

Good location (especially with children because of the playground). Nice and shady when it's too hot in summer. Unfortunately - typical of mass tourism - a processing of customers. The food is good.

The restaurant really has the potential to become my new regular restaurant. The staff is always extremely eager and consistently obliging! The armchairs are very comfortable and I find the distance between the tables very appropriate. There you don't get the feeling at all that you're eating dinner like fish in a can. Because I was hungry, I would have loved to try it out first, but then there would have been no room for the unique food.

Open Mar-Oct 9-17, medium prices, regional specialities. Direct beneath cable car with terrace and view to Pilatus Mountain. Playground close by.

Go up the mountain and enjoy the scenery, another world Another landscap after...

Prices are not cheap. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good... some of the staff were in a bad mood and visibly stressed. Next time you should bring something to grill yourself.

Was really surprised at what a cool playground was built there. Especially for such a "remote place". I could imagine that a lot of families in particular can spend a nice time there.

Typical Swiss style restaurant as many others in Swiss alps, but what amazed us, was the waiter. He was so optimistic and happy to help, it made our day even better.

It's a wonderful place and if you get noticed the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The path from the gondola to the restaurant is problematic for people with walking difficulties and the toilets are not wheelchair accessible. The giant slide right next door is an experience for young and old.
