Delicious Indian cuisine, homemade and full of flavor... A real journey into spices and textures that delight the taste buds. The service is simple and attentive. I recommend for a trip of color...

Exorbitant prices! I ask for a dish from the menu and they serve me the menu with a few small modifications but at the price of the real dish! Then an inedible dessert. Very, very disappointed. I strongly advise against it!

After a short stay in India, I really liked this cuisine. There I find myself there and the culinary flavors of this restaurant happily invite me there. The menu prices are reasonable with 2 menus to choose from at lunchtime: 1 vegetarian, the other non-vegetarian, in the beautiful Indian culinary tradition. For allergies and intolerances, they are open and adaptable. Meals on site and to take away. The food is good, well served, we eat hot and the space of the place (small terrace on the Palais de Beaulieu side) makes it a serene and friendly place. Yes, I like to be there alone or accompanied.

Owner is greedy.. created new rules as he saw us (tired and hungry) who came from all the way from Paris to extract more money… stay away from this hotel(specially Indians).

Having grown up with an Indian family, going there made me feel at home. The Nan fromage minute is incredible, and every dish I had was always full of flavor. The change of scenery is assured thanks to the setting and the music playing. I recommend any Indian food lover and anyone who doesn’t know this cuisine to go there for a guaranteed good experience. My friend and I went there on Friday the 11th of March 2022. Absolute horrible experience. Being an Indian. The restaurant was empty, my friend and I ordered water as we did not want to have any alcohol that night, the owner and the lady who served us talked about us being stingy and talked about Indians being stingy in general. The owner was super rude and did not want to serve us at all.when I confronted the lady, she simply told me to not talk about it too much and apologized on his behalf. I don’t have anything against her , but the owner should not be talking about his customers like that. He was very rude, extremely unprofessional and I can correctly guess that, this is the reason his restaurant was empty on a Friday night in Europe. He should really see to it that he mends his ways. The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Maybe he should focus on the food and the service than pass comments on his customers. As customers we cannot order items that we are not interested in having just because it would mean more business for him. He should retrospect and thinks about his actions and the consequences they would have on his business. I work in business management and I know for sure that this business would definitely fail if this attitude of the owner of the establishment continues to be so.

Authentic quality cuisine! A wide choice of meat or vegetarian dishes, each more succulent than the last. A true journey for the senses with exotic, spicy and intoxicating flavors. An excellent address that I recommend

This is the same people that ran the old Indian takeaway by the same name from av de France. We had always wonders where they had gone. They’re here and the food and service are just as good except now in a warm convivial restaurant space. The tastes and flavours are the most authentic in Lausanne. I’m so glad that the team opened in a great new space right beside Beaulieu congress zone.

Disappointment when receiving the dishes (oily, floaty and flavorless dishes). Exorbitant price for quality and quantity. We contacted the restaurant upon receipt of the order made via Uber eats to inform them of our opinion but the owner responded in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Being regulars of Indian cuisine, this restaurant is by far a false representation of Indian gastronomy.

➡ The owner is disrespectful, intolerant and contemptuous of his customers ☡☡☡ I asked him about certain dishes to check if they were vegan and non-vegetarian (which may contain milk, cream, cheese, eggs, etc.). Indeed, every vegan knows how complicated it is to trust carnist restaurants, which often do not know about veganism and present their dishes for vegans, when they are only vegetarian. In short, it is therefore normal that we inform ourselves in advance before ordering. But the owner (the one who is at the cash register, and who is also the server as well as the owner) is extremely intolerant. He can't stand being asked about these dishes. Instead of informing these customers kindly, he was arrogant with us and asked us to never come back because next time he won't serve us. I was really shocked by his attitude, I have been vegetarian for almost 20 years and vegan for almost 10 years, it is the first time in my life that I have had to have maintenance workers who are so disrespectful and contemptuous of their customers • e•s. ➡ It's a shame because the vegan dishes were good and inexpensive for Switzerland.

Very rude owner. He seems to not remember that he has essentially opened a restaurant and should at least have a basic level of courtesy. The food is all pre-cooked and no idea, how old. The hygiene of the place is questionable since I overheard the staff pointing out the presence of pests in the kitchen. All in all, the food is not cheap and not that great. There are better Indian restaurants in Lausanne that will value you as their customer. Do not waste your time here.

The service was good and the prices are decent. The food was fine but nothing exceptional. The naan bread was not traditional naan but instead a sweet tasting cake-like variant.

The lunch meals are very easy to order as daily you have 4 plates... (2 vegetarian) and it s always delicious... I have never been disappointed... Spicy with lots of flavour and taste inside everything I tested... Cheap food as well... Lots of restaurant should test their food like this restaurant before giving the food to customers... I have no complain... Yes the manager is awefull he s a very bad guy and never smile or kind (maybe only with me I have no idea)... But the girl : she s just great and smile and is wonderful with all customers.

Very good Indian cuisine. For years in Lausanne, the Maharaja has been the best Indian restaurant in the city for me. Always consistent quality and low prices. The place is not very big so it is true that you have to leave your seat after eating... logical. The boss is friendly and knows how to run his shop as best as possible.

Racist and disrespectful. This Wednesday, we had a more than unpleasant experience in this restaurant. Arriving at 11:45 a.m. I asked if there was room for two, the owner responded aggressively that the table had to be vacated by 12:30 p.m. at the latest.  Surprised by his reaction, I suggested that he wait until Another table becomes available so you can eat without stress. That's when he replied, "No, because you're taking too long to eat." I didn't know the regulations on the length of the meal and having only been to the restaurant once a few months ago I think by "you" he meant "the blacks". I advise against it, unless you like to be treated with condescension; )

This is what we call traditional Punjabi/Indian food with an amazing balance of various Indian spices. I have tried other Indian restaurants in Lausanne but the flavor in here is what we look for in any typical Indian dish.

The this owner was so rude that he was giving Home cooked remade dry roti at the best of his attitude want to throw on his face if it was not my vegetarian day I would have never eaten that food

I went there with my husband, as we live nearby. We sat down and ordered our food. When it came out, it was quite good. Not great, but definitely better than cooking for myself after a long week at work. As I ate, I decided I was thirsty. I went to the counter and asked for water. The man working explained that they were "a caterer" and not "a restaurant" so they did not serve glasses of water. Okay, that was odd, but I was okay with it. But I was still really thirsty, so I pulled a bottle of water from my bag. (It's not that I didn't want to buy a beverage, it's that I don't really like bottled water, the waste of plastic and all). The man came back out from the kitchen and yelled "PUT THAT BACK IN YOUR BAG NOW". He was EXTREMELY rude. If he had asked politely, my thirsty self might have even been okay with it, but he was straight up rude. We almost got our food boxed up to eat at home, because it was such an unpleasant experience. In the end we ate it there and left. I don't think I have ever written a bad review online before, but this was some of the worst service I have ever had. Don't eat here if you like 1) Water with your meal 2) Polite service
