Restaurant Pavillon in Luzern

Atmosphere - is what you make it, given the location, and we have enjoyed it a lot, even tables facing the road and the station. The place has a waterfront terrace too. Service is prompt given how busy it can get, food is good. Will be going there again, definitely.

Came here last Sunday evening to have a nice dinner and celebrate after getting engaged. Not only the food and drinks were great, but the staff was beyond amazing making sure we had a special dinner and even treating us to a cake to-go!

We had a pleasant time with a lovely view of the lake and the mountains. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed.

I worked here in the mid 90s as a Praktikantin. Came here yesterday for a nostalgic moment with my family. Wanted them to try the best profiteroles. However the pavillion was full. When i asked whether my Chefin still working there or not to the wait staff or she seemed to be a supervisor there. She was a bit annoyed by my question and said that i probably was in the wrong place. She said she s been there for 20 years which means in 2003. I worked here for a year in the mid 90s. How could i forget that fast… perhaps it would’ve been a lot different if i were white. Very disappointing Too bad…. So we just went off to find a different cafe #sigh The hotel receptionist though (a man) was very polite and good in english. Thank you.

Menu said lamb. Gave us pork. They knew. This type of fraud disgusts me.

The tartare is simply outstanding and the club sandwich is one of the best in the city. A place to feel good and be pampered.

The Pavillon restaurant at the Hotel Schweizerhof is a unique experience. The ambience is elegant, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is simply incredible - from the presentation to the taste. The prices are certainly high, but you really get what you pay for. Highly recommended!

Very good lunch in a good atmosphere. The service today was carried out by very young people in apprenticeship.

Very harmonious restaurant with friendly, competent service. Our meal before Paul Carrack's concert was excellent and the wine selection was very good. The process was well organized. A big compliment to the crew.

Reservation didn't work out. We made a reservation in the pavilion, but then sat on the terrace, which is uncomfortable and loud. At least after 30 minutes we were offered a place in the pavilion. Essen: I would like to start by saying that my father and mother were there. They are both very good chefs, my father was the catering manager for Asia for Swissair. En Detail: Cold soup with shrimp: small portion, otherwise perfect. Lucerne Kügeli Pate: great Caesar salad: perfect except for the chicken breast, which was very dry Vegi menu: Risotto was more like rice pudding Crevette: under-marinated and dry, potatoes were good Dessert: enjoyed it Ladies toilet: clean Men's toilet: wastebasket was overflowing, the seat toilet was not clean or cleaned carelessly Service: The head of service went to extreme lengths to iron out the deficiencies Conclusion: expectations that I have of such a house are not met, ambience well...
