I celebrated here my 50th birthday with a light apéro and pre-dinner. All my guests have been happy about the place, the food, the service and the chance to be able to talk to each other since the music was not so loud at all.

As a Japanese person, it didn't really suit my taste, but maybe that's just because I wasn't used to eating it. Although it was Monday, there were many customers and the place was crowded. I think it's a popular store.

It is a great place to enjoy a cozy dinner with colleagues. I specifically enjoyed the variety of wines and the quality of their meat.

Wonderful place to indulge in the nostalgia of the past. Former military stable converted into a restaurant. Beautiful.

The food used to be much better. In the last few weeks we were back in the "Riithalle" after a 2-year break and each had a different meal (menu of the day, burger and cordon bleu). Everyone in the group didn't like the food, especially considering the very high prices. What I will never understand about restaurateurs is how you can charge Fr. 36 for a burger with fries and then buy the worst frozen fries. Every Badi fries is better than what you offer.

Cool location, beautifully central in Zurich and therefore easy to reach by public transport, but walking from the main station is also no problem. Food very good. Great vegan options. Service very friendly, personable and attentive.

The restaurant is visited more often for our business lunches. Not only is it nice and clean, but the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. However, the availability of the sausage and cheese salad could be improved, as it is often sold out or not on the menu. Nevertheless, the burger and cordon bleu are absolutely fantastic and make every visit worthwhile!

Creative and good cuisine, fast service, central location

No small or 1/2 portions, despite asking. Service mediocre. Half the restaurant is empty but all the occupied tables are only served in one half.

We just had an aperitif in the garden: the braziers full of crackling wood and the mulled wine created a wonderful Christmas atmosphere!

Despite its enormous size, it is very quaint and cozy. The food was great except for the potatoes, which were still very firm. The staff very attentive and friendly. I give this four and a half stars out of five.

A very nice restaurant/hall in Zurich. Great atmosphere, food good/very good (but not great), efficient service. Swiss prices. I especially recommend Goldig gebratene Rösti. Swiss potato casserole baked with cheese and topped with mushroom sauce. Heaven in mouth.

The Riithalle offers a unique ambience as a former riding stable. The food was also good and the service was friendly.

The food was carelessly prepared and unfortunately didn't taste good either. The whole thing had the feel of ready-made food. A pity. Rest was good.

You should go to this place for the atmosphere and drink a beer and nothing more. The quality of the food is really very poor. Fast processing in the style of Oktoberfest etc. Rating “Stomach filler OK”. When you consider how high-quality the cuisine in Zurich generally is, it's surprising that people here no longer want to be inspired by the benchmark.

A bit noisy, mediocre food, but attentive service.

The too many tables spoil the atmosphere. This makes it far too loud. The pre-made hamburger was lukewarm in the first service. It worked on the second attempt. Conclusion of the evening: I couldn't recommend the restaurant more.

Amazing place: the old horse stalls of Zurich's Gendarmerie. Good food at a relatively good price.

I was there in the evening just for a coffee and mineral water. The staff was top notch as always. The appearance of the restaurant is unique in Zurich. By the way, every last seat was filled. It is advisable to reserve.

- Food menu very small, plus 3 menus with French fries (burger, corson bleu) - Unfortunately it wasn't clear that you have two shifts (service confirmed that almost no one sees it on the reservation page. It's a shame that this isn't advertised more clearly). So it suddenly said: you have to leave in 15 minutes, the next guests are coming. - Service was top!

Staff was extremely pushy. We felt uncomfortable. It was clear that the only goal was to make sales and that the well-being of the guests was not the focus. Never again. PS: Fries were overly salty.

I've known the riding arena for a long time. But we've never had service that was so bad, uncoordinated, confused and unfriendly. There was always chaos at the food counter and the dishes often came out wrong, as was the case with us. It's a disgrace to treat paying customers like this.

Very warm, friendly, family service in a beautiful garden. The quality of the food wasn't bad, but it could be improved. But still good value for money for a lunch menu in the city of Zurich.

The four of us wanted to have dinner in the garden last Saturday. When we arrived there were only a few guests. We ordered our drinks and a melon salad for the aperitif. Everything came promptly. Afterwards we were ignored for over 30 minutes in front of the dirty plates and with the menus in our hands. Nobody wanted to take our food order. Two young men stood in front of the counter, their hands behind their backs and constantly looking away, we were sitting in close proximity. The gentlemen at reception and in service weren't interested either, preferring to look at the tablet in groups of three and run away again. After 45 minutes someone finally came to get the dishes. All we wanted was the bill without eating anything. If you feel ignored and unwelcome in a half-empty garden restaurant, you don't have to eat there. A pity. There is no second time for a first impression.

Service was helpful and friendly. Food was tasty and in good portion. Outdoor area was really nice on a hot summer evening. Did not like the second-hand cigarette smoke, but that's somewhat unavoidable in Europe.

Although the place (terrasse) is very nice and service friendly, 36.- francs for an average burger with frozen fries is definitely overpriced.

Very nice location and atmosphere! However, the patty of our burger was unfortunately very dry and well past the cooking point. For a burger in this price category (36 CHF) I'm hoping for a little more. Unfortunately, the good service couldn't help overcome the disappointment.

Perfect location, good food, some waiters need to be shown out. We went there for a company event. It was all good, and service was not bad at all. It was just one waiter who took ok me for a Russian and tried talking Russian to me. At some point he got quite rude, probably because I could not speak Russian back to him. I hope it is his summer job, because I do not want to see him again

I haven't been to the riding hall for about two years. We had reserved a table for four, explicitly at a separate table. Logically, with sooooo many guests, you can't respond to everyone's wishes, but the fact that we were told that the comments wouldn't be read anyway was rather strange to us. I was very amazed at how the place has changed. Unfortunately there is no longer any self service for drinks. This increased the waiting time. I think there are too many tables, not enough staff and the food we wanted was then out. The noise level was correspondingly extreme due to the crowds. The menu is very reduced, although it's a shame about the great previous dishes, but rather little, it's also very good in terms of price-performance ratio. Hmm...unfortunately we were disappointed. Very basic, the potato salad as well as the grilled chicken fillet for a whopping 34.- The evening for us was fine, the staff made the best of it. But it's certainly no longer one of my favorite restaurants, although the graphically crude posters about "Sparkling Saturday" and the "constantly warm cuisine" (Ballermann?) also contributed to this. I don't actually write reviews, but when we got a text message the next day that we hadn't kept the reservation, it was clear to me that we needed honest feedback. It is only logical that a business must be profitable or, in the best case, even more than that. But to me it looks more like you want to make as much money as possible with as little as possible. But at the expense of quality and this could backfire. I will not recommend the riding hall (anymore).

Great atmosphere in the middle of the city. Just a few minutes' walk from the main station, nestled in a small oasis, is the garden terrace of the Riithalle restaurant. Even though the restaurant was full at lunchtime, the service was impressive with its attentiveness. Gladly again.

Very tasty food and it is served quickly! A clear menu that doesn't have too much choice, great. The atmosphere in the garden is super nice! We recommend! Since the restaurant is very popular and often busy, it can sometimes get a little too noisy.

The quiet inner courtyard with seating under bright parasols invites you to linger. The staff is friendly and attentive, the price is okay.

We received top service, despite the garden restaurant being full. The food was great, but personally I still prefer a physical menu rather than virtual. Of course it's a matter of taste. Price absolutely justified for the middle of Zurich. Requests for changes to the menu were implemented perfectly. Gladly again

The food was really tasty but also significantly more expensive than expected. (Burger about 35 CHF). Unfortunately, the terrace was so busy that we had to actively seek service staff. All in all, the price/performance ratio is not right for me. At prices in the higher segment, you can also expect excellent and attentive service. Otherwise a beer garden will do the trick - which is significantly cheaper. What is worth mentioning, however, is the absolutely successful setting and decoration.

Sorry guys, but 13 CHF for a green salad in which I voluntarily gave up radishes, but which then comes without any garnish and is totally unloving, just a few green leaves from the ready-made pack with a ready-made sauce and a few croutons from the bag too ...that just doesn't work at all.

A bit of a long wait but a lot of vegan food. The vegan tartare is awesome.

Chef de Service very very unfriendly we will refrain from visiting the restaurant from now on.. we were in the Reithalle restaurant for many years but something like that is not possible.. people like that don't belong in such a great business.. the other employees are always closed praise..

Unfortunately no. Location is great, service is good, food is… acceptable? Unfortunately, the price/performance level is no longer acceptable. Totally normal Riithalle burger with fries: CHF 36 Halving the price would be ok (for the location), McDonald's quality would still be better.
