Restaurant right next to the Muttenzer indoor swimming pool. Outside seating under beautiful old trees. Good, attentive and very courteous staff. We were served very well, but not very quickly, but it was also very well staffed that day.

Very fine food, beautiful garden under the chestnut tree. We had a cordon bleu! 😋 What was great for me was that there was a wonderful vegetable garnish (5 different vegetables) and fries.

Only recommended!!! Super friendly service. Really fine home cooking! Always my pleasure! Very clean and nicely furnished, the outside seating is a real dream. There is also more than enough parking space. Prices are also totally okay. Bowling alley available. Even an enclosure with small animals, really nice with children too. What more do you want... 👍👍👍

Here I have Kegel training on Friday. And you can eat really tasty food here and that's why I eat here every Friday. And the prices are okay too.

Really a good old workers' pub with good food and service

Pork cordon bleu. Nicely presented. Four different vegetables and croquettes. Meat and croquettes very tasty. Unfortunately, vegetables were just pulled out of the water, not seasoned, beans and carrots without onions - very boring stuff. When I commented, it was explained to me that beans and carrots don't last as long once they have chopped onions on them. There are restaurants where the guest can choose with or without onions... What a shame.

As the saying goes, good home cooking. The chef really has it under control, even more than 10 different a la card orders are served together, compliments!

Als Auslandschweizer findet man hier eine gemütliche und typisch ländliche Atmosphäre. Die Wirtin und das Personal sind sehr freundlich und absolute Spitze und nicht zu vergessen den Koch der als Alleinkämpfer sämtliche kulinarischen Wünsche erfüllt. Das Lokal und die Gartenbeiz lassen keine Wünsche offen. Man fühlt sich hier richtig zu Hause.

Rustic rural restaurant with good home cooking

Wir waren wieder einmal im Schützenhaus essen. Wir hatten das Menu. Ein 4-Gänger zu diesem Preis (CHF 25.00) ist schlicht der Hammer, zudem das Essen sehr gut war. Die Wirtin und ihr Team verdienen ein Lob. Auch während des Jahres finden immer wieder interessante Spezialitätenwochen statt. Wir gehen ab und zu in diesem Restaurant essen und waren noch nie enttäuscht.

When we ordered we found out that unfortunately we couldn't order food because there was supposedly a problem in the kitchen. So we switched to a cheese and salami platter. The waitress told us delivery time is 45 minutes. For a cheese plate...? An explanation would defuse the situation. We didn't feel welcome. We probably caught a bad moment, maybe a mishap in the kitchen could happen. So after a beer we left again.

Was there a few weeks ago for a birthday aperitif, it was really great, friendly and there was plenty of parking

Price/quality OK If you sit/eat outside, there is only a limited à la carte. Staff could have been a bit more attentive, you had to actively try to be seen. Of course we were a larger group, but it usually works elsewhere too :-)

Wenn Montag-Nachmittag über 40 Mann und einige wenige Frauen im Garten zusammensitzen, sind dies leider Ausnahmen in der Schweizer Gastronomie-Szene.Der Wirtewechsel im Schützenhaus hat der "Beiz" nochmals deutlichen Auftrieb gegeben. Schnelle, freundlichste Bedienung, rundherum entspannte Gäste, die sich untereinander höflich per Hand (!) begrüssen und verabschieden.Ein SEHR GUT wie für ein Sternelokal? JA, ganz bewusst, denn es ist SEHR GUT, dass es genau solche Lokale noch gibt, SEHR GUT, dass Wirtsleute und Gäste sich so gut verstehen und zusammenhalten. Das ist Schweizer Gastfreundschaft!

I'm one of the regular guests here, pleasant atmosphere, friendly landlady and waitresses and a great chef! The landlady and cook are cooperative if you have a larger occasion with them, such as a birthday or a club dinner 👍 you feel comfortable in the Schützenhus! 😍
