We ordered the fondue. It is ridiculously expensive (even for Zürich) and it only comes with a bowl of bread, two baby potatoes and HALF a pear. I don’t recommend it. Service wasn’t good either.

The food was very good. I ate here with 4 other teenagers and everything was perfect. At other restaurants we weren't taken seriously because we were still teenagers, but here we were served very well and the treatment was more than excellent. I ate the fondue and there were no defects. I can only recommend it, very good service and the food was also very good.

We wanted to have our first culinary experience tasting a typical traditional Swiss fondue which very basically met our expectations but we were not amazed by the cost of what we paid. As a good Commercial Administrator and Publicist that I am, I can say that the costs are very high if the cow where the milk is extracted and the cheese is processed and ripened and the whole story is done by the restaurant owners, which is not the case. Despite this, we ate a fondue very fairly measured in quantity and quality to the basics, which is an area of ​​opportunity for this place. Maybe it wasn't the best option for our fondue but it could have been better. No photos, Not recommended. 😶

I've been living in Zurich for 2 years now and figured I'd meet my friend here, who was arriving with the train. When I sat down the waitress asked what I wanted to drink, to which I replied I would still wait for my friend who was arriving in 10min cause his train had been a little delayed. In the next 5 min she asked me one more time, to which I gave her the same answer. Much to my surprise and that of the other customers, I was then asked to leave as "this wasn't a waiting room. No worries, my friend arrived as I left the restaurant and we headed to get an oveprised beer somewhere else, ended up having a good time. I understand that it's not a waiting room. You would've thought a practically empty restaurant wouldn't have minded waiting 10mins to serve two customers happy to spend money on a couple of beers. Apparently not.

We had a very pleasant evening at this cozy restaurant. The owner or management was very nice and we ordered a small beef goulash to share, 2 black angus burgers on light buns that came with salad, chips. 2 glasses of house red wine and a beer. Tasty food. Finished off with rich choc and very good coffee local ice cream. The indian servers didn’t speak much english but they were polite. A lovely evening to round off our last night in Zurich and 22N holiday in Switzerland (Tue 4/12/23).

I have been visiting the St.Gallerhof for many years and am always amazed by the stately Swiss cuisine that is served here. It is a real pleasure to find a restaurant that has maintained its traditional cuisine over the years. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and it's nice to see that they are still the same familiar faces. Unfortunately, this is no longer a given these days. The St.Gallerhof is definitely a place that I would happily recommend and return to again and again.

On my first trip to Europe we stopped in attempting to get an authentic Swiss meal. We were not let down. The fondue was amazing and the main meal perfectly cooked and a good wine pairing was recommended by our waiter. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to or through Zürich. Fair prices and excellent atmosphere.

My husband and I had dinner here about two weeks ago. Food was delicious. Our host/server was so nice and very accommodating. He suggested local-inspired entrees, draft beer, and a local white wine. All were delicious. We chose to sit inside, and it was quaint and charming. It's a short and pretty walk from the Marriott, which was a big plus for us. We had a great time.

Absolute disaster! We personally experienced a bad racist incidence with one of the abnoxious South Asian Bangladeshi guy working over there. The guy passed unnecessary, irrelevant, racists comments on our Indian Origins and our manners and etiquettes which were absolutely uncalled for! The guy lacks basic decency on how to treat guests and is a black blot on the restaurant. My family (my mother, sister and father) felt humiliated. We strongly condemn and request the management of St. Gallerhof. To take immediate action over this filth of a person! Thank you! Located right next to Zurich main station and tram station. There are seats outside to linger and watch the never-ending stream of pedestrians. The service is friendly and efficient. Swiss dishes are offered at good prices - including fondue! Weak point: newspapers used to be provided to guests, unfortunately that is no longer the case!!
