We stopped for a coffee and a slice of blueberry cake with cream. Beautiful building, with a characteristic little bridge immediately in front. Definitely worth the break if you're driving on the pass.

I wanted to come to this valley for the bicycling opportunities, which are grand. I picked the St Gotthard as a base for its obvious proximity and how it is a small family-run establishment with plenty of favorable comments. In all respects the hotel, restaurant, staff and locale fulfilled and perhaps exceeded my needs. Josef and Joanna and their staff work very hard to deliver attentive service and a stay that complements whatever it is you have come there for. Sitting out front with a refreshment alongside that ancient bridge and its river will just make your day. The town of Andermatt with groceries, services and festivities is close at hand. The room was cozy, comfortable and equipped with all modern conveniences, including wi-fi. Josef is a trained professional chef, Joanna and Trix serving tables downstairs and outside are indefegatible. The bike garage was secure and convenient. Whether you are coming off a hard bike adventure or just on a meandering roadtrip, whether you want a full meal or just a refreshment, the St Gotthard will not disappoint!
