It has a boutique, friendly atmosphere, but their coffee was extremely bad. How bad can an americano be, right? we couldn't drink

One of my favorite coffeeshops in Geneva. Good coffee and a cool atmosphere.

Very nice atmosphere. I loved the variety of vegan options. Prices too expensive. I loved the experience of being at Café Boreal and everything was very friendly until it was time to close. Unfortunately, the woman in charge of picking up the chairs was very aggressive and threw the chairs violently. My recommendation to the owners is to select better staff… there are much kinder and more polite ways to tell customers that closing time has arrived. You don't need to be so violent. I hope that the quality of customer service improves because I really found the place very nice.

Experience punctuated by: a lack of welcome from the staff, too busy chatting while cleaning the juice machine, an offer to sit next to the fridge (admittedly, rush hour, but hygienically questionable), as well as "Otherwise you can go somewhere else too.” To which I respond "Yes sir, thank you, I know I can go elsewhere.". One thing said, one thing done, and believe me, I will never set foot here again.

We were greeted warmly and then served quickly. It was really tasty ☺️

I haven't been back to Le Boréal for some time. I ordered a chai latte which was really not good: spices mixed with water. Very disapointed. The service was good and the cinnamon roll was good! On the other hand, not very clean: we see that the place has “lived” but not in the positive sense of the term.

The best place in Geneva for getting work done. You will find tons of professionals, students on their laptops working on their deadlines. Gets you motivated to finish yours. A very warm vibe of the place otherwise also. If you’re a student, don’t forget to collect the free drink cat cards and definitely check out their hot chocolate.

At the moment the best breakfast in Switzerland. The prices are exorbitant, as throughout the country, so much so that you opt for a small cappuccino for two (5.50 CHF), but at least the muffins (about 5 CHF on average) are really good. Nice place, young and friendly staff.

The coffee is still good, but the place is really run down. I find it dirty, the sofas have become dirty and unorganized, the paintings on the wall have disappeared but the hooks remain. It’s no longer a pleasant place to settle down.

But where has the team gone that we used to see and with whom we used to chat and laugh? New people are not warm and very expeditious! We no longer feel this team spirit, it's a shame! However, the cakes are still just as good! Very nice to have added gingerbread for the winter period! The coffee beans I buy are also still good! Well done!

The coffee was okay but nothing super especial the truth. Is good if you want to spend some time working there in the computer.

Most of the servers are adorable and smiling except for one (black) who I have seen recently and who will never get you a smile!… A little expensive but we are in Geneva…

Very good coffee shop in Geneva. Has quite a bit of space but is often full. The cake slices are very good! Big thanks to whoever prepares them, they are always on top

We got two Frappuccinos, yogurt/granola and a pastry. The drinks tasted perfect! The shop was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our orders. There wasn't any open seats inside or outside, so we took it to go.

It is usually a little hard to find a table but we managed.The espresso tasted super good :)

Excellent coffee! Perfect for teleworking.

Great coffee and food. Very crowded. The deal breaker was that the temperature inside was somewhere between a blast furnace and the core of the Sun. Intolerable. It was a moderate cool crisp autumn day outside so no reason to be dripping sweat inside clothing.

The service is very slow. I often come during lunch and sometimes in the morning, it's always very long, even if there are 2 people in front of me, you have to wait a long time to be served. We need to improve the service!!!

Best hot and alternatively cold Matcha in town. Of course, for coffee lovers highly recommend.

Very good coffee and nice atmosphere

We had breakfast in this bar right at the bus stop, we were attracted by the colorful wrought iron tables and chairs outside. Inside there is a wide choice of desserts, coffee and drinks. In the center is a small table where you can help yourself to sugar, cocoa and packaged pancakes. The place is huge, with tables, tables, chairs, stools and armchairs. Great for being alone reading a book or in company. on the other side a second entrance, with other seats outside. The service wasn't particularly fast but the mochaccino and desserts were excellent, and the staff was really friendly. I advise.

This little cafe is very comfortable to work in with all those sofas. I recommand it! ☕️

The first coffee i got was tasting weird (maybe the milk was bad), then i asked to change it, and they did. From now on its better to test the ingredients before giving them to the costumer. The atmosphere is very good though, and also the service.

Asked the barista for his suggestion, and he explained why, helpful for the future! Made a great iced coffee and the atmosphere was very relaxed and got to pause on exploring for a while. Would go again!

Very large and beautiful room, nice quiet little terrace! Large selection of hot/cold drinks and small snacks (sweet/salty) Great service: fast and efficient. Smiling staff! We opted for an iced coffee caramel smoothie and a homemade iced tea: with this heat it was drunk in 2 minutes! Thank you for your welcome!

Staff are probably racist and treat people of colour with considerable lack of respect. Coffee is fine.

The coffee is nice and the croissants are nice. Their price is 7.4 francs for both of them, but unfortunately the chairs are wooden and hurt in the back. If someone sits in them for more than 10 minutes, Cordoba comes in the back.

Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, coffee was good but a little pricey, iced options available. Staff spoke good English

TOP coffee in downtown Geneva. Very nice staff and delicious breakfast. The whole ambience is very attractive and decorated with a lot of love. It's best when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. We'd love to come back.

Visited Boreal Coffee recently and was truly impressed by their V60 coffee. This place has mastered the art of coffee making to perfection. The V60 had a rich and smooth taste, enhancing the nuanced flavors in the brew. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance of the cafe added to the overall exceptional experience. I’d highly recommend Boreal Coffee to all the coffee lovers out there looking for an extraordinary cup of joe. Can’t wait to return and try more of their offerings.

The quality of the coffee was good but not excellent. The atmosphere of the place is super quiet and very modern. The prices were quite high and I didn't think it was the best coffee I've ever had. The sweet to accompany it is very good. Good staff attention.

I found this place while looking around on the internet to see if there was a cafe in Geneva where I could freely use my laptop. Everyone has their own laptop, so the cafe is relatively quiet and not noisy. The space is not very large, but you can find a place to sit. I visit often because I have a lot of work to do on my laptop. The price can be considered the average price of water in Geneva. There are several sweet coffees on the menu, so it's fun to choose.

The best coffee in Geneva. The service is perfect and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed, I love it 🥰! The choice of cookies, especially those from Freely, a real pleasure! The only thing I find a bit of a shame is the option of Alpro milks for the plant-based alternative. Offering a good organic coffee and adding milk of dubious composition spoils the pleasure a little. When will Rude Health or Provamel return?

I like coffee here. Big choice of types of milk. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Not so many options for non-sugary desserts.

We got the Flat White, Vanilla Latte, Matcha Cookie and Lemon Coconut Cheesecake bar. The atmosphere was great. The baristas were very nice and spoke both English and French. Both coffees were phenomenal. The pastries were great as well especially the matcha cookie.

Went there today for a coffee to go. It was so sour I couldn’t drink it. Asked for a re-do and the waiter was a bit rude. The second one was still sour and I had to add a ton of sugar to make it drinkable. Maybe their blend of coffee is not the one for me 🤷🏻‍♀️, but neither is their customer service.

Very good coffee, I go there from time to time to work. The staff is always pleasant, and the coffees are good, but a little expensive (at the same price of other competing coffees of this quality). The music is a little loud to work efficiently, but the place is quite warm.

Today was the 4th tine that I had taken a chaï latte at boreal and the 4th time that I am so disappointed with it. They have no idea how to prepare a chaï latte, they don't infuse it, my latte was ready in less than a minute and the taste was of just milk...as a customer I prefer quality! especially since I paid 6.5chf for it. They do know how to do coffee, but nothing else. I recommend they remove all the non coffee drinks from their menu as they have no idea how to correctly prepare them, it's just milk at an extra price.

Good place to get quality coffee. Definitely one of the best. They have options to order v60 and aeropress with single origin beans.

Well, went to have a coffee and some muffins on the Google reviews. But didn't feel anything special about the beverages. Even the coffee served to us was at technically "room temp". Better to get w coffee from Starbucks

Pleasant context for having a coffee with friends, hence the success which means that it is often full. Good drinks with unfortunately relatively high prices.

The Boréal is the best coffee shop for many reasons. The coffee is great, the staff is sympathetic, and the place is chilling. But above all, you feel that they want to make clients feel good and welcome through some small actions. It makes difference.

Beautiful setting, as does the excellent coffee which I recommend. The local roasting is very appreciable. Excellent meeting place, or simply to work quietly. Prices very close to those of Starbucks, but with coffee a hundred times better.

Disappointing. Three young people behind the counter and a cold welcome. The service is not great. I took a flat white to take away: it was piping hot and I didn't even ask for it to be very hot. The milk was absolutely burnt and made the drink undrinkable. I completely threw away 6.- chf. A little will and passion in your work could improve the customer experience.

I tried the flat white and carrot cake and it was perfect. The store located in a busy area and can be crowded when you visit. It is not easy to find a seat but the coffee worth it!

Big fan of the muffins they sell here. Coffee is also good. The other cakes look tasty too but I can't help myself from choosing a muffin. There is outside seating here and plenty of seating inside. You can also get takeaway and enjoy your coffee and muffin elsewhere.
