Authentic, gourmet and refined Italian cuisine. Delicious !!! The service is attentive and gives good advice regarding the choice of wines in particular. Finally, the atmosphere is cozy and the tables elegantly set. A highly recommended address

The service is not at the level of the quality and work behind the food. For the price you pay and more importantly the great quality of the food, the staff should be able to do more than just announcing the name of the dish they are serving.

We were very well received at 15 on a Friday evening, very nice table, very nice menu offered and excellent service as well as good advice for wines. Thanks to the whole team.

Great restaurant! The food is excellent and the setting is very pretty. We had the 5-course tasting menu, it was definitely worth it. I was just surprised at the time of the bill because the two glasses of diplomatico for the digestive were charged CHF 80, or CHF 40 each.

The food was good, but the portions could have been a little bigger. The service was friendly but completely overwhelmed by the number of customers. We waited 90 minutes for our pasta. There was a lot of noise and conversations at our table were only possible because we were speaking at a very high volume.

Lovely place and excellent service, just a remark. When we arrived there were several two-people tables and I was not given the possibility to chose and had to get one I didn't like. I found this attitude quite unfriendly and honestly not quite understandable. For the rest all very good.

Wonderful pasta with lobster and burrata!

We were welcomed by Ciro in his cosy trattorietta. He explains his dishes of the day as well as those on the menu and they all sounded very appealing. We settled for various starters and primi and were very impressed by the flavours and also the combination proposed - really audacious in some cases and classic in others. Also an interesting wine list which we did not sample this time, but a good reason (if needed) to come again! thank you

We were booked at 8 pm after the Vivaldi candlelight concert & ordered lobster pasta . The young waitress was not sympathetic to our lack of French language. Our order was forgotten & arrived in two stages at 9 .15 . It was not clear from the waitress that the artichoke salad was a separately charged order . We are visiting from Melbourne Australia which has many fine Italian restaurants. Our son who resides in Geneva made this booking . It was a disappointing experience .

Last night, the 3rd time I went to eat at Ciro, I felt lots of taste emotions and more. The wooden and wrought iron tables, the parquet floor, the old tiles, the view of the kitchen with Ciro cutting, simmering, mixing, seasoning, and preparing before sending (clap clap), I don't know if it's a transposition of the trattorias of Naples, but we totally believe it. The dishes, above all, are delicious: traditional Italian cuisine (really not so simple when you try it), combined with the finesse of excellent products and successful combinations. It’s cooked, it’s delicious, full of comforting flavors. The lumaconi with lobster tomato sauce, the cacio pepe spaghetti with guanciale and truffle, no fault, perfect. I only wanted to join Ciro in the kitchen to learn something, a gesture. We don't forget the team, especially the service, always helpful and charming, there is even a contribution from Senegal. Good very good. But this time , the main dishes took for ever … sat down at 8:30pm. Main dishes served at 10:10 pm.

Simply THE best Italian restaurant in Geneva! I have been living here for 15 years and love Italian food so you can understand i have tried many Italian restaurants. Ciro combines the perfect atmosphere, excellent service and most importantly amazing food. All of that complemented with a great selection of Italian wines makes it an absolute no-miss!

Ciro aux Pâquis is certainly a victim of his success...it's a shame!!! Endless wait for a starter and 2 pasta dishes...we were talking about "gourmet" at Ciro...I Paccheri were overcooked (for a Neapolitan restaurant it's pretty lousy...) in short it's no longer worth it worth it...the Pizzeria at the Junction is still good, let's take advantage before it declines too!!!

A little noisy at times, but within reason.

I'm posting a last update from last week (January 2024): it took them a long time to serve us, they made the wrong dish, they made a mistake on the bill... but what's going on? A friend went on Friday, and the same thing happened to him? ************ Excellent Italian cuisine, with typical and local foods, tasty and surprising. Dealing with Ciro himself makes the magic of the restaurant. A reference without a doubt in Geneva. Bravissimo!

Very friendly and welcoming boss. Extremely charming place. Excellent dessert, well done to the pastry chef! I regret forgetting one of the starters, the first bottle of red wine which was late and the black truffle devoid of flavor. I will come back with pleasure.

Authentic Neapolitan cuisine that makes you rediscover this beautiful region with a warm welcome

Misleading reservation system. On their website you must select between the pizzeria and the tratoria, but once you get there they place you wherever they want, without respecting the reservation you have made and that they have confirmed. It seemed more like a matter for the manager than for the waiter, who apologized several times.

Da Ciro, we don’t come there to eat but to have fun. The impeccable service, the extraordinary cuisine in a perpetual evolution which sees its menu renewed regularly, but what more could you ask for? An address not to be missed if you like Italian cuisine. (It's not a pizzeria)

Very bad for the price we paid. I've ordered their candele pasta, my friend ordered the same dish. The pasta was almost cold and was not well cooked. The taste was very average and I suspect that they took one portion and split it into two with my friend, as the quantity was really little. I got asked if I wanted some Prosecco and after finishing my glass, no one came to ask if we wanted other drinks. We ordered water which never came. The dessert was the worst part - particularly their sorbet with orange, dark lemon and pepper. The pepper did not match AT ALL and made the sorbet really terrible. We also had some profiteroles, which were quite average and mostly tasteless. The choice of cutlery was also interesting. I had a fork and a spoon. The pasta I was served was quite big in shape, so I had to cut each one in half using the spoon (people at other tables were doing the same and it was quite funny to be honest...). Complete disaster.

We waited 1 hour 45 minutes for the dish (pasta) after having waited 45 minutes for the wine to be served... The dessert was terrible, a tiramisu that was bathed in water (I'm not used to it, but I I sent it back, and surprise, it was on the bill!!) Never seen that, worst restaurant in my life. Run away!

From the start, the waiter who opens the door and seats us is not very pleasant, no smile, a table for 4 set up between 2 benches.... no aperitif offer. the restaurant fills up quickly, the owner who comes to talk to us about the dishes is finally friendly and explains to us well what we can eat. As an evening specialty, tagliatelle with white truffle. We do not ask the price (we will discover that the small portion of dough will cost us 80.- pp at the end!). Very good starters. The 2 people at the next table stayed more than an hour without being served (they left!)... around 9:30 p.m. we were asked if we would like to leave because they had a 2nd service and people waiting (we never warned us that there would be a 2nd service). In short, yes it's good, but with the prices charged... we will have to review the service 100% because the level is not there for this kind of asking price! I wouldn't go back!

The follow up to the reservation was exceptional. They proposed a menu for our big group. Everything was excellent until they took a very very long time to bring us the dessert. Every time we called the waitress she gave priority to other tables, and at the moment the bill arrived and discovered that the filter water was charged at 5CHF per jar of 500ml. We thought those were brought to us as "caraffe d'eau" . They did not clarify that and we paid 55 CHF of water!! We were very disappointed.

We booked a table in this rather small restaurant at the last minute and we had a very pleasant surprise. Short menu - which is usually good news - featuring an interesting diversity of meals made of fresh qualitative ingredients, well prepared. No fancy plates and presentations, rather family style with a touch of creativity. Very interesting wine list, with a good mix of "grands crus" and small producers offering a wide range of prices. Friendly service but rather disorganized this evening, with (new?) waiters being a bit lost, leading to some delays, orders and counter orders. All went well in the end when the most experienced ones brought things back on track (and offered us a better table after our order, when other customers left). The chef said hello to everyone at the end of the dinner and asked for feedback. Nice touch. Very "lively" atmosphere. In other words, if you are looking for a quiet place, try somewhere else. But rather pleasant in the end as everyone was really enjoying their time. We'll come again.

The service was very attentive, relaxed atmosphere. The starters were original, surprising and delicious. The spaghetti alle vongole was a little too loaded with garlic for my taste but I didn’t leave a single one on my plate…

Incredible flavors. Perfectly balanced. And pasta cooked “al dente” to Perfection.

As usual, the food was delicious, mackerel, with burrata and fennel starter and the pigeon main course. Service was excellent and I noticed that the waiters spoke several languages (Fr, Eng, Span)

Excellent and authentic Italian cuisine. Fine and delicate dishes, careful presentation. We feel the chef's passion with this cuisine prepared on the spot. The disadvantage is the slowness of the service, especially if you are part of the second service. My recommendation for dining at Ciro: reserve at 7 or 7:30 p.m., to avoid an interminable wait for the dishes

Overpriced and underwhelming food.

Helpful staff but extremely long service, error in the order and error in the bill. Excellent food but too expensive (candele pasta with zucchini and caciocavallo chf 35.-) for the quantity.

Food quality is ok, but pricey for what you get. We paid CHF for 2 dishes, a glass of wine and fruit juice. Service was very pleasant but slow.

Arrived at 7:30 p.m., dishes served at 9:30 p.m.!! So I'm fine, the weather is nice, warm etc. but the service was totally irrelevant. Apparently the waiters were starting out that evening and had no idea what items were on the menu. One of the waiters even asked us what was on our plate when serving us 🤔! The prices also absolutely did not justify what was on our plates! Basically not much if you don't take pasta! Very disappointed

The city is full of foreigners, I was for a WHO work, but the waiter could not communicate, not in English not with body language. No one wanted to attend us, bad service, expensive and food just ok.

Horrible experience. Very bad people. They serve bad food and they bring it as they want. We ordered well done steak and they cooked it raw, we insisted but the cook came from the kitchen to our table to say he was not going to cook it more. The pasta is spicy as hell, not Italian pasta, impossible to feel any taste. They do not speak English, only yes or no, so they cannot understand their customers that do not speak French. They do not care about tourists so I do recommend avoiding a very unpleasant expensive experience. Other Italian restaurants on the same street are much better and they will respect you. Here, we were sent back to the bed with no dinner. And of course they gave us the bill with everything included. Choose others, there are plenty.

Excellent management, friendly and competent staff

As soon as I walk in, Coner high table with out a reservation. The restaurant was empty and the music was so loud. I asked why I couldn’t reserve they walked away. They didn’t answer the phone all day up until opening. I had to walk out. A better welcome and a way to reserve on line or just answer the phone. One more thing. Please don’t sneeze and laugh in the kitchen so loud that the only customer in the dinning area can hear you. Good luck

A little disappointed. The food was good but portions were small and quite expensive (and I've been in Geneva for 3 years). There are plenty of other Italian restaurants in town. I'm trying to update all my reviews to answer the important question "would I go back?" Probably not.

We went to this place with high expectations, knowing Italian cuisine and the choice of Geneva well. Aside from the wait, which may be justified, I realize that my plate (paccheri with red prawns and burrata, 45 francs) is missing burrata. I ask to review the menu to make sure I'm not wrong, and realizing I'm right I ask the waitress to ask the chef where the burrata was. He comes back apologizing saying it's over (even though we were the first service at 7.30pm...). But the serious thing is that this was not communicated to me either at the time of the service or before!!! If I hadn't noticed, they would have calmly let the incident pass by, serving a half-off dish and billing it full price... The manager (manager? owner?) present in the room didn't even spare us a glance or an apology. Icing on the cake, health pass (Green pass) never checked on anyone. For the same price you can find much better quality and service in Geneva! Date of visit: January 2022

Elegant and well-kept restaurant. Choosing the dishes was difficult because the whole menu is interesting. Presentation of the dishes, taste and quantity rated 10/10. The service is very satisfactory. The waiter was attentive and precise. The table was cleaned for us after each course with grace and elegance. Excellent Italian dishes, freshly cooked! On the other hand, the staff and servers are totally incompetent… 30 minutes for us to finally be offered an aperitif, As Italian we had the misfortune of asking for the chef's round, even if only for an espresso.. The boss got on his high horse and abruptly refused us the “chef's tour...despite an addition of 320.- to 3 people.. It was a great experience in terms of food and drinks but I'm definitely not going back.. Beautiful day..

We tried the Ciro menu which was a great disappointment, especially considering the prices. The pasta was just mediocre and some of the starters and the dessert where just terrible. The red fish was tasteless and the pigeon was not properly cooked. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone even though the service and the general ambience was just fine.

We tried the Ciro menu! Portions were not enough! The main dishes and the dessert were a disappointment! From the starters we only liked the focaccia! The rest was below average! Would expect something more for such prices !

I keep coming to this restaurant because the food is delicious… but the service is incredibly bad! Each time, i’m always disappointed. We had three different waiters who took care of us but it always takes an eternity to get basic stuff like the menus, drinks or the bill. I honestly don’t understand how this place is still running. Too bad because the food is truly amazing.
