The staff was always friendly. The bistro is self-service. The prices are certainly adapted to the location and location of the restaurant. The food was average and okay.

We found beetroot falafel (pita) very tasty. Fish crispy salad bowl completely overpriced, as there were only four crispy ones without sauce and only iceberg lettuce with a few cherry tomatoes, cucumber and croutons, plus a ready-made salad sauce. We imagined a bowl differently.

Lunch: No fries as a side dish with the burger, which is a given for me. I had to buy some ice cream because I wasn't full. Breakfast: Was overpriced 12.50 Fr.

Hamburgers were very good, a bit too much sauce but otherwise great. Fries were very very good! It's a shame it's not served but self-service.

We eat here regularly. The food (including pita, burgers, tarte flambée) is always very tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and highly recommended even with small children. It also has a nearby playground.

Actually everything was great. Sometimes there are a lot of dog owners with their dogs. And yes, not everyone has it under control... A pity.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately the service was very stressed and unfriendly. It would be great if you as a guest were treated kindly and respectfully.

Pure heat... so nothing like going to the lake. Charly loves the park and the opportunity to cool off. The circular path is pleasant to walk, after a few meters there is another trash can with dog waste bags. Really cool, my owner can always dispose of my necessities straight away and a new bag is also provided. After the long walk, the master got hungry, of course he shared it honestly with me :-) My master has the fries and I have the sausage, lol

The employees were very friendly. Great for a family with children when the weather is good, as there is a playground and a lake with a few shady spots right next door. The atmosphere inside is rather cool and the coffee is mediocre.

Very friendly staff, great menu, nice atmosphere. Only for the veggie burger I would prefer a vegetable cookie instead of these meat-like burger cookies 😅

It was soon more pleasant before the renovation, it was nicely converted, but the concept is unfortunately poor 🙈

We ate at the Seebistro in Gwatt a few times this summer. Every time the food was great and the staff friendly. We'd love to come back!

Refrigerators are not nearly stocked so the beer is warm (not chilled). Queued at the checkout for 9 minutes. Ice cream melted during this time. Staff is friendly. ** Clean....

The Seebistro has gained from the renovation: it is comfortable to sit on the terrace. The self-service concept without queuing is also great and very practical. BUT: 1. the waiting times are unusually long, even with few guests; the organization still seems rather chaotic. 2. The map is still small but interesting. However, there are no gluten-free meals apart from salad (and here too you have to order it without croutons). 2 years ago: The location is great: children can play in the neighboring playground, campers can skip cooking, etc. Unfortunately, the menu is very small. After two visits at the latest, you hardly have any alternatives left. This is a pity. We found the service to be very pleasant but chaotic.

Location and ambience are great, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. They were also put off when it came to the lack of free lemon water (after asking several times), which is still missing today! Prices too high for self-service (pastries 3.50). Beautiful dishes, but combined with plastic cutlery - BOTTOM DRAWER! Gelateria prices are completely inflated. It's a shame given the beautiful surroundings with a great campsite!

There are good dishes. Also vegetarian alternatives. It takes a bit of time and the kitchen is a bit of a mess.

The restaurant is nice, but the staff's speed is lacking. Long waiting times are not uncommon. The organization can still be improved a lot.

So the atmosphere is nice. The selection was actually good, but the waiting time was a disaster and the crispy cookies were probably in the deep fryer for too long. Even if there is a high number of guests. Definitely almost 1 hour. Despite everything, the wait for food was too much.

Unfortunately since the "renovation" a couple of years ago the place has definitely outlived its usefulness. Since our daily walk is long, once a year I try to stick my nose in hoping something has improved. Alas, no. Very high prices, absence of table service, biblical times to order and pay at the cash register... Too bad: this season too it will remain out of our "refreshment breaks" during walks! Luckily, about fifteen minutes away on foot there is the "Strämu" terrace where you can take a break while looking at the lake!

Very nice place, but frankly much too expensive for what it is, more expensive than Geneva, and it's self-served! And 35.- for a bottle of wine that you have to open yourself!

I can't understand the bad reviews. 1. Location and facilities are perfect for people at the lake/park/camping place. 2. There is a wide choice for everyone - fish, meat, vegetarian and even VEGAN. They're all pretty tasty too. 3. The prices are absolutely fine for the location - where can you find cheaper prices in Switzerland? Even in a kebab shop, a falafel sandwich costs at least 10 CHF and is not nearly as good in quality. Falafel pita, vegan burgers and fries are definitely delicious.

Always end of work early. Staff quite distant. No comparison with the old pub... where service was still served. It's a shame!

Is what you expect from a camping restaurant. Fair prices for the food and simple but good menus. Only the drink prices are a bit too high.

Everything is perfect from the furnishings to the service.

Price-performance ratio absolutely inadequate. Burger without side dish costs CHF 16.- - and that in a self-service restaurant. When I bought a bottle of wine, the cashier opened the bottle and tried it himself - that's not possible! At least the burger tasted good.

Sehr angenehm zu fairen Preisen

Waren gestern im Bistro. Essensausgabe ist super organisiert, Lage am See ist wunderschön. Leider haben wir es mit dem Essen nicht so getroffen, die Fischknusperli waren definitiv nicht knusprig und kamen sicher nicht aus einer Friteuse, so weich wie die waren. Der enthaltene Fisch war gut und das Fleisch des Burgers super, bei den Beilagen gibt es noch Luft nach oben. Für das Gebotene war der Preis eher zu hoch. Positiv zu vermerken sind die guten Bärner Frittes und die grosse Auswahl an Thuner Bier!

Leider sehr hoche Preise und lange Wartezeiten. Preis Leistung steht hier meiner Meinung nach in keinem Verhältnis. Darum leider nur einen Stern. Leider sind die Wartezeiten immer sehr hoch egal zu welcher Zeit man kommt, ich war meistens ausserhalb der stosszeiten bei ihnen u d leider gibt es da keinen Unterschied. Auch der Service ist noch sehr schlecht Organisiert. Sie haben viel mehr Personal als vorher und bei solchen Preisen finde ich es eine Frechheit mit stosszeiten zu Argumentieren. Wenn ich der einzige im bistro bin ist das schon sehr speziell vorallem war es nicht einmal sondern leider jedes mal bis jetzt. Dann sind Flaschen teilweise mit debot Aufschriften versehen welches es anscheinend gar nicht gibt. Das im zusammenspiel mit sehr unklaren und Unterschiedlichen Angaben vom Personal, sorgt für Verwirrung unter den Konsumenten.

Mega feine Würste und Fackelspiess vom Grill. Frische Pommes, feines Brötli, gutes Bierangebot. Preis für die gebotene Qualität absolut im Rahmen, kann das gejammere in gewissen anderen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.

Da es eine Selbstbedienung ist, war die Schlange durch die Bedienungsgeschwindigkeit sehr lange. Die Preise zudem sehr hoch. Einzig, das Ambiente und die bernische Freundlichkeit zog die Bewertung nach oben.

Sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre... Selbstbedienung gut organisiert Freundliches Personal Burger könnte etwas mehr"Explosion im Mund"vertragen😉

Schön renoviert. Mir gefällt's. Gute Karte. Die Preise sind leider an der oberen Grenze. Irgendwie typisch fürs Berner Oberland... Deshalb 2-Sterne Abzug.

Nach einigen Stunden Anreise mit dem Motorrad durch Gewitter und Sturm, freuten wir uns auf was warmes zum Essen. Auf die Frage bei der Ankunft, wie lange das Restaurant offen hat (was wir mit der Möglichkeit zu einer Essens-Bestellung verbunden haben), wurden wir mit "bis 22:00 Uhr" informiert. Die Schweizer Präzision (oder war es Spissigkeit?) hat uns dann aber voll erwischt, als wir um 21.02 ins Restaurant gingen und schonungslos von der putzlappenbewaffneten Dame informiert wurden, dass es nur bis 21.00 Uhr zu Essen gäbe. Auf die Alternativen Nussgipfel und Toastbrot hatten wir nach diesem Tag echt keine Lust....die Stimmung war im Keller und die Meinung gemacht... Gut gab es den örtlichen Pizzaservice, der in 20 Minuten Top Pizzas und Flammkuchen an die Tore des Campings geliefert hat. Schade!

Menu Auswahl sehr klein. Zum Burger gibt es keine Pommes nichts. Essen ist ok. Die Lage ist super schön Personal auch freundlich. 5Sterne würde es geben wen zu einem Burger oder zu den Fischknusperlis wenigstens eine Beilage dazu wär. Preise find ich zu Hoch.

Neu gestaltet, schöner Ort am See für eine ungezwungen Pause. Kleine Karte mit Klassiker wie Burger, Flammkuchen oder Hörnli und Ghackets. War lecker.

It's to traditional make yummyier food

Ich war sehr enttäuscht über die Neueröffnung des Seebistro im Gwatt. Neu ist dort leider Selbstbedienung... Dafür sind die Preise jetzt höher als vorher! Die Mitarbeiterin wirkte zudem äusserst gestresst, inkompetent und unfreundlich! Ich komme nicht mehr, wenn es nicht sein MUSS! Schade, da ich mich sehr oft am See aufhalte und dort in den letzten Jahren immer wieder einkehrte. Ich bin nicht anspruchsvoll, aber das ist für mich ein absolutes no go!

Das Ambiente ist gut und das Essen fein aber die Preise eher hoch für das Angebot. Super ist es dass dort ein cooler Spielplatz ist. Leider hat die Person an der Kasse praktisch kein Deutsch verstanden und hat nicht einmal die Gerichte verstanden die wir bestellen wollten. Zudem war er mit der Bedienung der Kasse überfordert und auch sonst generell und dies obwohl fast keine Gäste dort waren.

Zu wenig Auswahl auf der Menuekarte aber sonst ganz in Ordnung.

The most awful food I ever eat. Place is expensive. Photo of the dishes differs from reality. Lake view is fine. But overall, this place not worth to visit it. I'll never wish to come back here again.

Superlage. Legere Camping-Atmosphäre!

Extrem enttäuscht..wohne seit über 20jahren in der Gegend und nun lud ich meine Freundin auf ein Essen im Thunerseerestaurant ein. So weit so gut. Dann die bestellung: ich bestellte den Gwatt Burger und meine Freundin bestellte Fischknusperli mit Salat und Onion rings. Der Salat kam nicht und man musste dem extra nach gehen, dass sie den Salat bekam! Dann merkten wir, dass die Fischknusperli billig verarbeitete Chicken Nuggets waren und schliesslich fanden wir ein Haar (!!) im Salat! Das schlimmste: wir mussten auch den Haarigen Salat bezahlen..keine Vergünstigung, nichts....Leider eine riesen Enttäuschung!! Erst fehlt Etwas, dann das Falsche und am Schluss ein Haar sowie die Rechnung die dann Gesalzen ins Haus flatterte:( Muss nun dennoch anmerken: war vor kurzem wieder dort und diesmal war das essen extrem gut und korrekt! Kann das Entrecote oder den Gwatt Burger empfehlen..beides ohne worte sehr zu geniessen:)

Sehr schlechter Service .Hamburger war innen noch roh.Für eine Kugel Erdbeereis mit Rahm warteten wir eine halbe Stunde .2mal fragten wir nach ,ob das Eis bald serviert wird ,weil das Kleinkind langsam ungeduldig wurde🤨

Das Restaurant wurde unter neuer Führung am 10.04.19 eröffnet. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das Angebot ist übersichtlich und bietet vom Snack bis zum feinem Mittagessen oder Nachtessen feine Köstlichkeiten, wo sehr liebevoll, originelle und schön dekoriert serviert werden. Die Dessertkart biedet eine grosse Auswahl an Köstlichkeiten. Generell sind die Preise im normalen Rahmen. Die Neugestaltung der Terasse und Umgebung, mit dem freien Blick auf den Thunersee läd zum verwilen ein.

Sehr schöner Ort. Leider ist der Service unterirdisch schlecht. Da muss nachgebessert werden - zur Zeit kein Besuch wert.

Bedienung freundlich. Leider wurde bereits um 19:45 während wir noch am Essen waren bereits geputz und aufgeräumt. An ein ruhiges Abendessen war nicht mehr zu denken. Selbst der Klobereich wurde vor unseren Augen geputzt und die Tür offen gelassen. Das eine Menuezutat gegenüber der Karte mal fehlt bzw. getauscht wird kann ja mal passieren, dann aber bitte vorher anmelden und nicht erst wenn das Essen bereits kommt.

August 2018 Unfreundlich, Fischknusperli gummig, Flammkuchen latschig wie aus der Mikrowelle. Schon lange nicht so schlecht gegessen.vorallem dafür , dass es aus dem Tiefkühker kommt.

Nähe Bahnhof praktisch für einen schnellen Kaffee.

Nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Gutes Essen und faire Preise.
