The food was very good, especially the Cordon Blue. The only thing that you share a table with is that anyone can touch you; although it is worth it and is quite affordable.

Food : Way below average Employees: careless and rude! 2 waiters for more than 50 people ( we had to sit outside because of the double baby buggie - we wanted blankets - the waiter said to go eat somewhere who has blankets!) We had to wait more than 30 minutes for the waiter to arrive. !!!!!!The people that came after us had alredy eat inside and gone!!!!! Food was terrible - ( cordon bleu with fried supermarket vegetables with terrible Knorr sauce) ( chicken breasts - cold- with terrible Knorr sauce) !!!!! we had to go Mc Donalds after that. !!!!! Impossibly expensive for such terrible food !!!!! + Unhygienic & The toilets stunk like dumpster NEVER EVER AGAIN !!!

This is the restaurant where I decided to try Swiss food on my last day in Zürich. There were about 70% of customers in the restaurant, and the waiters seemed to be busy moving around. I wanted to eat Swiss schnitzel before heading home, so I ordered "Schnitzel paniert mit Beilage nach Wahl"! Unlike the schnitchel I had in Germany, it was simple, but the crunchy texture was the best I could get. I went around noon, and by the time I left, there was a line outside. It's a good idea to consider your time when you go.

Its beer is like water. Stay away from mac and cheese. Rösti wasn't bad.

The schnitzel was very delicious and filling. We visited during lunch time and it was very crowded, but luckily we were able to eat right away without having to wait.

Reserved two weeks ago, but suddenly didn't want to know anything about a reservation (despite proof that we had called). Extremely unfriendly staff, hardly speaks any German. Instead of doing everything possible to get us a spot and realizing their mistake and apologizing, we were gaslighted that we hadn't made a reservation. AW: No, because you said you didn't have a reservation. Another attempt at gaslighting. Dear Zurich residents, dear tourists: This restaurant here absolutely does not correspond to Swiss quality and service, and has no place in Zurich. It used to be an excellent restaurant. However, the Rheinfelder Bierhalle is no longer run by the same owner. The employees there barely understand German. It's no surprise that they can't manage the restaurant and reservations correctly.

Only bad. Not authentic. It used to be good under its predecessors and can no longer be recommended. @Bierhalle thank you very much for your answer, I think you are making it a little easier for yourself by commenting on all negative reviews with the same answer. You should probably think about whether you need to change anything about your service before making such statements.

Really bad. Service and food suck. Edit: The response from the beer hall is a stinking lie. We ate there one afternoon and the food and service were very, very poor. This feedback from a company with such poor staff tops it all off.

Place to recommend to anyone looking for a “typical” food place at a good price. Generous portions, friendly staff, the only thing I can't highlight are the beers. But it even has the distinction of a clean bathroom, many times and even more so in places with many people this is never fulfilled. Good location, would definitely return. I strongly recommend the cordon bleu.

when a stranger sits at the table with you - an older man - 🤫 you look at his hands, the lack of a smile and a deep look in his eyes. you ask the waitress about the bill and she is surprised, but how will you pay for this man? Best place for quality cordon bleu

Super local atmosphere, no frills type of spot. Was searching for a Swiss meal and this bierhall gives a you a good variety of Swiss dishes to choose from. Most of the tables are set up family style so you maybe be sharing a table with another family. The food was super yummy and portion sizes were large. Would recommend to anyone looking for some Swiss food while in Zurich.

We wanted to reserve a table for 3 people for last Friday because we came from 100 km away and wanted to spend a cozy evening in Zurich. The restaurant wrote that they only made reservations for groups and that we should just come. As expected, the Beit was packed and we couldn't find a place. We cannot judge the food, ambience, service and performance ratio. Therefore there are no points for this. There is one point for the cheap prices for Zurich according to the map.

Superb beerhalle in Zurich old town. The sausage with onion sauce was delicious. We liked the Sausage with Potato salad and chicken with mushroom sauce too.

As the name suggests, it is a hall and it echoes quite nicely, i.e. it is very loud. The food is quite good and cheap: the cordon bleu was good, the fries could have been fried a bit cross-fried, the hash browns were good, the shredded chicken was cut too coarsely. But whatever, value for money is right.

Fantastic food, they don’t really speak English but are so friendly and make it work. Communal tables but fun all around and you can make new friends. Highly recommend!

Very cozy place with excellent atmosphere for a meal.

A bit overrated. The dishes are mostly on the salty side. We did not have a reservation but were seated because we were early. The waiter put 4 others on the same table as us. It was like canteen style eating, jam packed front and back. Fills up quickly by 5.30pm.

Wonderful and very typical restaurant! When I went there was a man playing the accordion live. Excellent food. I ordered potato rosti with bacon and cooked egg and potato rosti with pork stroganoff. In addition to the excellent beer! Perfect!

Hyper local restaurant that is busy. We arrived right on time for a couple of tables leaving, so we had no wait. The restaurant is packed and many of the tables are joined together. They have a few staff, so there was a wait to order food, but then it arrived quickly. We ordered a couple traditional meals that were good, but not the best we had during our time in Zürich. We didn't order any beer, but everyone around us had beers and seemed to be enjoying them. It's a loud and bustling restaurant. So don't expect a romantic, dim lit vibe (lol). During our time there, a man a couple seats down from us became drunk and belligerent. He was attempting to talk to us in English, Spanish, and another language. As he got louder, staff asked him to leave. On his way out, he started yelling about eating meat (he wasn't a fan) and even rushed up to a woman who was eating. Staff acted quickly to remove him.

Great beer hall with super welcoming staff and the most hearty and tasty food. It took me a bit to get used to sitting with people I didn't know (I am traveling solo), but it's a great way to meet people and it's just what happens in beer halls. I loved it so much that I went back multiple times to try different dishes and beers. Definitely recommend visiting here if you're traveling solo and want a cheap yet fulfilling meal and want to experience the local culture.

Although it is open all day, there are many people and it is very busy. The old lady who entertained us didn't speak English very well and it was difficult to communicate. But the food was delicious, the hash browns and pig's trotters tasted great.

I ordered home. In the comment I asked for the sauce to be delivered separately and not to use onions, unfortunately both were ignored. Food was cold. Jumo Cordonbleu with fries. was delivered carelessly in a pizza box, also cold. It's a shame, the food used to come in higher quality packaging. PS: The picture is after I opened the box.
