Very nice restaurant with delicious food that you can choose and put together yourself. Very attentive and nice service. The toilets are very clean and smell good. The only thing that disturbs the beautiful ambience is the hip hop music, which is too loud (for me) - but that's a matter of taste.

Large portions with lots of protein in one menu. Definitely worth it if you're very hungry like me. Utensils like chopsticks are also available for free. Interior is very nice and well thought out. Right next to the main train station, so the perfect location actually.

You get relatively little scooped here compared to other rice-up locations. The bowl is maybe half full. The staff is also no longer as friendly as it used to be. What a shame!

Have been here with my brother. Not many people have been sitting in the restaurant so we had plenty of space in the nicely decorated room. Impersonally love the concept of rice up and specially value the choice of seasonable vegetables. Vegetarian options are also available. Only if you pass the staircase which leads to the toilets, there is uncomfortable smell…

Shut up!! You have no right to run the store. I've been sitting with my head in the trash can for 2 hours and I'm constantly throwing up because of your food. I don't know if it's due to hygiene failure or that you just have no idea what you're doing, but I've been constantly vomiting for the past two hours because of you and your food. When I had lunch there today my portion was surprisingly small. When I asked why this was the case I was told I had paid so I was okay with it so it wasn't my problem. He simply didn't care that my friend got almost twice as much for the same price on another day. The gentleman behind me also got a lot more than I did for the same price, which was dismissed by saying it was a regular customer. It was about the third time I ate there, the food was good as always, but it was also the last time because I find it shocking how unfriendly the customers are treated.

Directly in the Winterthur main station building, where people usually go to/from the train, there is one of six Rice Up! Branches in Switzerland. I put together my bowl myself in 5 steps and 1 employee creates what I want for me. I don't use any meat, no tofu or planted on my red rice, but I get more vegetables. I add the red curry sauce and some chilies on top. The whole thing is quite a filling portion and tastes quite good to me, perhaps a bit lightly salted. There was actually no waiting time, even though people were lining up. There was just enough staff on duty. I think fresh, regional, palm oil-free is great, as is the recycling concept. The dish I put together is not vegetarian because there is fish sauce in the curry sauce. But I was informed about it.

Get freshly made soup at 7:25 in the morning! Insanely good service!!!!

In terms of ambience, it's still a bit of a train station buffet. The food is really recommended for rice lovers. It's a bit fast food, but the "individual service" definitely gives it a better note. Particularly noteworthy is the waste regulation, which should be a model for other fast-food restaurants.

We've had a bowl at Rice Up for lunch a few times. My friend liked it so much that I got some for dinner that evening. It doesn't have a large selection, but every combination is delicious and very filling. My favorite is red rice with red curry and chicken. I can also highly recommend the matcha drink in the refrigerated section. I think the price is fair, especially since I rarely eat everything completely. I'll take the rest with me. The staff is very friendly and well-positioned; they now know each other a little. You never have to wait longer than 5 minutes, even if the line goes outside. There are so many staff at lunchtime that one person can order one after the other. I think it would be good if they changed things up and offered new sauces or toppings. Otherwise it will just grow out of your ears at some point. But we still enjoy going.

Rice Up! is a successful concept with Asian cross-over cuisine. The bowls can be put together individually from various delicious ingredients. The quality is top with good value for money and generous portions. The staff is friendly and helpful and explain the bowl concept patiently and competently. We'd love to come back.

First of all: the food was great as always! However, the lovely woman with the “beautiful” St. Gallen or Thurgau dialect unfortunately knows nothing about customer service. She was very harsh, direct and seemed very unfriendly. I don't think she does it on purpose, it's just the way she is. Nevertheless, such customer behavior should not be acceptable in the catering industry and should be noticed early on when recruiting employees.

So today we ordered 1x normal and 1x vegetarian portion from To God to Go. When we arrived at the restaurant on time there was only a normal portion left. (Nothing vegetarian) The gentleman behind the counter just said you were too late... But of course everything was available and already paid for beforehand. The employee has and accused us of being to blame and being “inferior” In my opinion, the worst thing is not being able to admit your own mistake but insulting customers.

Cool location right at the train station… The staff are super friendly and explain how the order works.. the food is super fresh and very tasty! Price-performance ratio is very, very good :) you can go there often.

Always friendly, well positioned and fast employees! I'm often in a rush because I have to catch my train and I've never missed it thanks to their good service. Always happy to go there and can only be recommended.

Today around 6 p.m. in transit with a hungry stomach with 2 children we went to the Rice Up restaurant, right at Wthur main station. We were served straight away and quickly, a bit rough but maybe just a language problem (Schwyzerdütsch) is not welcome everywhere 😉 - we then continued in standard German so that it worked. Large portions, jasmine rice was good, glass noodles and RedRice too. Chicken satay was ok for kids, but a bit too boring for me. Beef and Vegi Signature Bowl Tip Top. Drinks (red lemonade, classic lemonade in PET) are very, very sweet. Food was sufficiently hot and tasty. Also affordable. What I find unfortunate and unnecessary is serving dishes in cardboard bowls with plastic cutlery in a restaurant. Pet bottles are also completely unnecessary in a restaurant. It is also an expensive affair and eats up margin for the operating company. Maintaining a scullery costs money, of course. But disposable tableware, cutlery and PET cost more. There are other more sustainable options. E.g. ReCircle etc. It also really devalues ​​what are generally very tasty dishes. Eating out of cardboard, plastic cutlery and drinking out of PET bottles seem absolutely unnecessarily cheap. The fact that these containers are supposedly biodegradable doesn't make it any better. Composting such materials is only possible under industrial conditions. This again requires transport and a lot of energy. Reusable tableware is simply better from many perspectives. We were there as a small group at lunchtime. The selection is good, the portion is big enough. The staff very friendly. The biggest advantage is how quickly the food is ready. Sure, it's snack-like, but quick. And surprisingly comfortable to sit on. If I'm in a hurry, I'll happily go there again and that's why I rounded up 5 stars.

I urgently needed to go to the toilet and asked very politely if it would be okay if I could quickly go to the toilet here. The employee then told me I could go outside in the public toilet and was very unfriendly. She told me the code for the toilet in the restaurant and I asked again very politely where the toilet was. She then replied, “You can read it yourself.” The whole restaurant then knew that I had to go to the toilet and had to make me justify going to the toilet URGENTLY.

Very, very tasty! A good alternative when things have to go quickly and you still want to eat something “real”. Lots of space in the restaurant. The star deduction is only for the plastic cutlery. Doesn't fit with the food and the ambience in the restaurant.

Good take-away and also nice to sit there and eat. The music was too much and especially too loud for my taste. The food was really very good, fresh, and good marinade (tofu) and sauce. Since according to their website everything is supposed to be lactose-free, I suspect that the vegetarian ingredients should actually be vegan too. Better labeling would be welcome here (there is a "leaf" symbol but there is no explanation anywhere about what this exactly means (I assume vegan?). The lemonade was good, but a little too sour for my taste.

While waiting for the train I wanted to have a drink and a snack, but I waited outside in vain. Self-service is definitely not a problem in principle, but it would be nice if this were clearly marked somewhere and the guests don't just have to figure it out themselves. I've already lost time and just ordered something to drink; CHF 10 for a small latte and a mineral. That's not a problem in a high-end restaurant, but I think it's pretty cheeky for a snack bar where you have to make sure you get something yourself. The staff was rather abrupt and the area outside could definitely be made more inviting. For me personally, there is no incentive to go here again.

Today we spontaneously visited Rice Up Winterthur for the first time after a long train journey. Ideally located right next to a prominent train station, the large restaurant with plenty of seating both inside and outside was not very busy. It may be that it was after 7 p.m. on Sunday evening and therefore there were few guests. And now about the service and food. First the positive: I was served quickly and friendly by a young employee. Unfortunately, the music was a little too loud or the employee was too quiet, so I had to ask more often. The food was quite ok. Had curry chicken, broccoli, some chopped nuts and of course rice. There was also a spicy sauce. The whole thing is packed in a recycling tray and with a lid. I was then allowed to grab my own chopsticks and napkin and if your food didn't have enough spiciness and spice, there was also a Sriracha bottle and soy sauce for seasoning. What I noticed was that unfortunately not everything meat was on offer at that time. Bad luck or shame for me. I already knew the Rice Up from Bern and even then I didn't give it full marks. If you need a quick meal and a good amount of rice and a side dish, you can take some from the Rice Up with you.

The food at Rice Up! is very delicious. The basis (rice or rice alternatives) can be chosen at the buffet. You can also choose a meat or vegetarian side dish. It is complemented with various toppings such as vegetables and various sauces.

My absolute favorite restaurant. Price-performance is right. Very tasty food. Great quality. Motivated, lovely employees where you can tell that they love their job.

Large restaurant in a top location but unfortunately no longer a place where you linger because the concept doesn't invite you to do so. I don't think eating always in disposable take-away formats is very up-to-date. But as I said, the service was very friendly.

I am very excited about the Rice up in Winterthur. Very polite, nice staff, the interior is beautifully designed and there is a lot of space (not so cramped). I am very pleased that planted chicken has now been included in the program. The green curry sauce is awesome and the vegetables have a bite and aren't cooked to death. I would be very happy if this company stayed at this location (there have been many changes in the last few years). A thank you to all employees on site.

I first noticed you in Zurich. Great quality (e.g. vegetables have a bite, meat isn't overcooked,...) Winterthur simply has the better location. The thing about the drink prices could still be discussed...🤔 But then I have to say to myself again: It's Winterthur, right in the train station, so the rents won't really be a bargain - ergo - the price is okay. 😎

Beautiful branch, fast service and delicious food. Everything worked perfectly and the food was very tasty. There is enough seating inside and also a terrace. It's right next to the train station next to the tracks, so it's very easy to reach.

I ate here for the first time a few weeks ago and was immediately impressed. The employees are friendly, the food is extremely tasty, healthy and nutritious. I'm literally addicted to this food and can't get enough. At first glance the prices seem rather expensive, but if you consider the size of the portions the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. At lunchtime there is sometimes a queue, but don't let that put you off, it usually moves very quickly! The only point of criticism is the high prices of the drinks. Tip: buy drinks at the coop next door.
