I would like to go out on the terrace in the summer.

Really good food. It's a step up but it's not otherworldly. Service was standard. Everything was well presented. Unfortunately, a business dinner so no food pictures. Was with five other people everyone enjoyed the food. For one, the portion wasn't enough.

Stopped in for coffee during a Sunday walk. Very friendly conditions, we were able to enjoy it on the terrace even though it was written that it was closed.

Super good food and very good service. The brunch on Sunday is simply sensational. We come here regularly and always enjoy coming from Baselland.

We are fans of this restaurant. So far, the food has always been great and the service has been friendly (including an Italian accent). I would happily recommend the restaurant again and again. 😁

Beautiful restaurant, it's just a shame that you reserve a table and the restaurant is a third full and you get the backmost, darkest table. Unfortunately we had to read the menu with the cell phone light. The service and food were excellent and highly recommended.

We were able to have our civil ceremony with around 30 people on September 29th, 2023. Celebrate in the Restaurante & Bar Lago. Everyone was just thrilled! Appero, the starter and main course everything was wonderful and delicious! The staff was very friendly and implemented all of our wishes! Thanks again to the team. We will come back in any case.

Went to dinner at the Lago restaurant this evening. Unfortunately we decided to eat on the lovely terrace. The sometimes strong wind turned out to be unpleasant over time. The super good food cooled down quicker than we would have liked. So after dinner we retreated into the busy interior of the restaurant to at least enjoy the dessert and coffee in the warmer area. We were served very nicely and they made an effort to fulfill our wishes. My wife ordered Saltimboca with spinach and risotto, I ordered Taliata di Bisteca with potatoes and rocket. Both dishes were very, very good and the meat was tender and well seasoned. An Italian who doesn't know pizza and pasta, but can also prepare meat really well. We were definitely very satisfied and can only recommend the restaurant. We went out to eat in Lago again today before our onward journey. We were greeted almost like family. Our menus today were also superbly prepared and the boss gave tips on how to make them taste even better. It's great how much effort was put into looking after the guests. Today my wife enjoyed the Casarecce finocchietto and I had the Gamberoni picanti. Again, both menus were well seasoned and perfectly prepared. Unfortunately the way is too far from us, because then we would be here more often!!!

We had a birthday party with a beautiful view. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, we sometimes had to wait a little longer for service and drinks.

We waited 30 minutes without even saying hello and were ignored despite making eye contact. We then left without being able to consume anything. I hope you work on your hospitality!

Pizza was delicious. The service was really bad (no napkins uncovered, after the aperitif I wasn't asked if I would like something to drink, no asking if the food was good, no coffee, no dessert offered. Simply ignored. It's a shame

Even though the terrace was closed last night due to the weather, we had a wonderful evening at the Lago. Not only did we enjoy delicious food, but we appreciated the kindness, helpfulness and competence of the staff, as well as the pleasant ambiance of the dining room.

Not a bad location but it needs more. Would have expected the pasta to be warm, the service more than in a "Bahnhof Buffet" and the ice creams should contain the fruits we ordered. Perhaps we should have turned around when the restaurant had no parking and was not helpful in providing direction to public parking... I think that says all.

For the first time we had dinner at the Lago Restaurant and we were very satisfied. Homemade tagliatelle (and it felt) with truly exquisite seafood. Squid appetizer slightly too tasty for my tastes, otherwise nothing to complain about. Very kind and quick service with a very quiet and familiar environment. Keep it up guys!

Not greeted properly at first, just put the card on the table. We had to ask for the aperitif ourselves. We also had to pour the mineral water ourselves! The place wasn't full. Food wasn't great. For these prices I expect top quality! After I let the plate go back half full, no staff showed up! In the end, something was even charged twice. I think this is an arrogant rip-off! I was definitely in Lago for the last time!

We wanted red wine with our meal. Seems difficult. When asked, the waiter accused us. He argued...instead of making a sales pitch. We also had to ask about water. Apparently you don't need it in Lago. Food actually good.

The ambience and atmosphere is really nice and pleasant, you immediately feel at home. The food was really tasty. The staff very friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back so we can eat outside on the terrace with the beautiful view 😀

Average food at above average prices and service that leaves a lot to be desired in terms of attention.

Food was delicious. We really liked the Spaghetti Aglio Olio especially after we were given the homemade chilli oil. The staff served us really well and they were very respectful and kind. We had 4 kids and they were very patient with them. The desserts were also delicious. The ambience of the restaurant was subtle and understated. All in all a great experience.

Modern atmosphere, very friendly service, good food

We were very satisfied with the dishes taken. I was very undecided about two first courses and the very kind waiter suggested that I have both, in small (but still abundant) quantities. We took the agnolotti dal plin on braised sauce with fondue, rigatoni with sausage and mushrooms and tajarin with black truffle. It was all really very good but the first two in particular. For dessert we opted for the chocolate cake and panna cotta. Again very satisfied with the choice made. Ice cream was offered to my daughter. Excellent value for money. I recommend this place.

A wonderfully decorated restaurant - simple and beautiful. The employees are always friendly and the food is good - sometimes the portions are a bit small and the price-performance ratio is not always balanced.

Great ambience (including a beautiful terrace) and fine food. Pure Italianita, you feel like you're on vacation. The only thing that needs to be tweaked is the prices, which are too high in my opinion.

This restaurant has hefty prices. Too expensive in my opinion! For this price the food is not excellent. My saltimbocca was too salty and the sauce was too constant and the risotto, which was served in a small bowl, was bland. There are better authentic Italian restaurants in the Bern region!

When you come to Ristorante Lago you feel like you are on vacation in Italy. Excellent food from the kitchen crew - great service team and Italian friendly we come back to the lake Uschi Urs Marianne Marco Therese and Chrigu

Waiting at the terrace entrance until someone takes the time to greet us in a friendly manner is a no go. Menu very good, food itself so-so, Vitello Donato with veal with tendons in it and dry a no go, fish skewer good. We will forego another visit. Sportgastro AG can make a little more effort.

Good and calm atmosphere. Food was very good. Pizza Margerita was very crispy. Service great, employees very friendly. I can highly recommend the Lago. It's a shame the seat covers aren't replaced because there are cigarette burn holes.

The service made us wait for 20 minutes even though the store was half empty and there were over 5 service staff. We then left. 0 stars would be appropriate. Not recommended arrogant juice shop.

The Fritto Misto consisted of 50% fish that were too large, with huge bones making the food inedible. There was no apology or anything from the (slow) waiter. 2 stars for the risotto which was good.

Nicely located above Lake Wollen, the terrace allows you to relax even though it is right next to the road. The service is impeccable and friendly. The meals are also very decent and the pizzas are good. Lots of inventiveness in the cocktails of the day... To do... The slightly more sensitive point is parking... Sometimes not easy.

The best Italian restaurant in Bern, just awesome.

On Sunday I invited friends over for brunch at Lago. It was just perfect. All 40 guests were thrilled. The selection, presentation and quality of the dishes was wonderful. The service attentive and courageous. Special thanks to Claudio, Alessandro and Fabricio. The price/performance ratio was also absolutely fine.

Very nice and authentic service. Food was super delicious. Unfortunately, twice with the Spaghetti Vongole there was sand in the shells or broken shells in the plate. It can happen - it usually does. It would be nice if the kitchen optimized this. Otherwise really great. Nice terrace. Consistent.. would love to come back.

We went last week, we ordered the well-cooked steak with risotto, the raw meat and the savory risotto, the pizza without salt, the waiter with the chef's jacket washed the plates and pots and then brought the dishes to the table, we are regular customers and in any case we do not recommend it and we will not return again not recommended for the food and the service🤮🤮🤮

Ich war in meinem Leben über 70 mal auf Reisen in aller Welt. Ich weiss somit die Bewertungen, negative wie positive, gut einzuschätzen. Kurz nach der Eröffnung des Lago kehrten wir zu einem Kaffee dort ein. Schon damals war die Bedienung, wie dies offensichtlich auch heute noch z.T. der Fall ist, ein Problem.Da in der Umgebung weitere Gäste-freundliche Restaurant vorhanden sind, verzichteten wir bisher auf einen Besuch im Lago. Dies werde ich in den nächsten Tagen jedoch nachholen.Der Mittagstisch wird sehr günstig angeboten. Warum wird die Wochenkarte aber nicht rechtzeitig aktualisiert damit man sich den Tag aussuchen kann?? Und warum werden die Bewertungen seit Jahren standardisiert beantwortet statt die Fehler zu beheben?? Schwankungen in allen Bereichen schädlich für ein Restaurant.Ich schau mal!
