Situated just a couple of hundred metres from a waterfall and a railway line. But due to the quietness of Swiss electric trains it is the muted roar of the waterfall that you hear. Ideal spot for day trips out hiking in a stunning valley. The site is well kept and clean with the added bonus of a bakery on site. We visited out of season so it was very quiet.

We stayed here when we were bouldering right around the corner. It was pretty quiet. Showers super clean, toilets enough and cleaned. Dishwashing area and garbage corner cleaned up. I also had the feeling that everyone was looking at it here. The little bakery in the campsite is also highly recommended. Happy to come back :)

Our annual stopover on the return trip to the Netherlands before we enter the 17 kilometer Gothard tunnel. We are here for 1 night so that we can drive through the Gothard tunnel very early the next morning. From experience, this saves you from very long traffic jams that arise in advance. The campsite has everything and delicious fresh homemade bread (bakery is also part of the campsite). The campsite has a separate large lawn purely for those passing through. We come back here every year and reservations are not necessary, there is always room.

The campsite with what I consider to be the “world’s best” bakery. In the last few decades, I have never experienced such a delicious smell of different types of bread and cakes as here. Great food and nice parking spaces too.

I really enjoyed the environment, the swimming pool, the bakery etc. There’s also complementary breakfast available till 9am I guess only for those renting a room. You can come with your own camp tents and pay cheaper or rent a room. Though the owner was a bit rude to us, we didn’t know the checkout time was 10am and we thought 12 noon. She came banging at our door my 10:30am and was threatening to call the police. She doesn’t speak English and we found it difficult to understand each other. I would love to stay there again regardless, at least now I know the rules.
