Ristorante La Perla in Ascona

The restaurant clearly lacks a Maitre d'hotel in charge of not only welcoming new guests, but also asking for a drinks and providing menu cards within less than 5 minutes waiting at the table. The food was not very inspiring and choice was limited.

It's a good place to spend some time. On the one hand, you can stock up in the shop with excellent local and home-produced products such as polenta, rice, pasta, and on the other hand, you can also taste wines for a small fee. Six of us booked a Degu and we are very excited! We learned a lot about the history and the great products of Terreni and had a great tasting with Gwendolina. She also speaks excellent German and explained all the wines to us very well. We experienced pure surprise with the whiskey single malt and the gin. Both are also top-class products. Definitely worth a visit, and then also shopping and filling the cellar at home.

Young and elegant environment, welcoming and professional atmosphere. Unexpected culinary experience, delicious dishes prepared with passion. We will return to enjoy the magnificent terrace overlooking the lake. Congratulations to the whole Marina team❤️
