I must say that we ate well but the behavior of the waiter and I believe the owner, a somewhat large guy with a full voice, during lunch on Saturday 24 February 2024 let's say that in a certain sense he pampered us but in his own way, I I even showed him the nice review I had given him on Google and he authoritatively told me, after all, I'll give you a nice gift. Let me start by saying that it was the third time I ate there, twice with local friends. We choose from the menu and order, 4 crostini as a starter and 1 cordon bleu with 1 elephant ear, we eat and feel good. I ask for the bill and it arrives on the table, I get up to pay with the master card, I type in the pin and I pay and once he gives me the receipt in my hand, he, the one who served us at the table, starts to say in a loud voice of Mussolini, let's arm ourselves and leave, Italian thieves and then he disappears leaving me embarrassed in front of everyone, an Italian who discriminates against another Italian!!! It came naturally to me to immediately say (taking back the nice words I had to say to him "my wife and I had a great time and we will be back soon!!") look that Ticino was created by the Italians many years ago and that Switzerland was created from the French, Germans and Italians!!! And in here we are all Italians!! But crazy stuff!! But also analyzing the price for what we ate, therefore, 4 slices of bread each with some already made sauces, 1 bottle of water and 1 can of coke, second course, 1 cordon bleu and a pork Milanese, 120 francs !! And I didn't object to both the food and the price, so who is the Italian thief? But it's not the expense that bothers me, this is a consequence of what you told me, it's useless for me to write on the site or anything else for 31 years in Ticino, yes but she arrives with a cardboard suitcase or from Calabria or Sicily many years ago, so how dare you do racial discrimination? Shame on you and if you have to continue like this, change your job immediately so that you don't disgrace your origins!!! In that room on Saturday there were many Italians and from what I understood a family who had recently moved to Lugano!!! Among other things, before this he had discussed with another customer about a seat and added that his mother and brother were already sitting there. Are you from Ticino? But only on paper, perhaps his great-grandchildren will be true Ticinese because it takes 7 generations to become pure!!!

The dishes are plentiful and generous. Perhaps a little disappointed with my expectations on the pizza, I gave it a rather low rating.

Whenever I go to Lugano, a couple of times a year, I eat at this restaurant. I have never eaten a tastier 4-cheese pizza in my life.

I won't say anything about the atmosphere. It was a moment of reflection for us. But seeing the place it must be good. There is room for children outside.

I practically live in this restaurant. The menu has been excellent for 20 years. Wide choice and super abundant dishes.

The pizza is always very good but the last time we were the spaghetti was still hard, it felt like eating rubber and the turkey was dry with a cloying sauce. Very full as always. Informal environment.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was little, there is always the usual warm welcome from the owners and waiters, a familiar, joyful and fun environment. The food itself is always excellent, I have never eaten something I didn't like, and their portions are really large, I think this is also one of their greatest strengths.

I called at 1.40pm to ask if there was a table for 6 by 2.00pm... affirmative answer and "triumph of rock" for 5. It seems that the sea is just a few km from Lugano due to the freshness of the raw materials . Fantastic!

For years now it has been a point of reference in the Lugano area, there is always room, a peaceful environment, fast service and truly 🔝 pizza (but not only that). Compliments to the always attentive and helpful staff.

The pasta dishes with fish are fantastic. In the summer the Salmon Poke is also very good and in the autumn the game dishes.

Strategic location, helpful staff and affordable prices, pleasant quality of food. I ate a pizza but the dough was a little "chippy", I didn't understand if it was under-leavened or under-cooked... in any case, overall good. The rest of the pizza ingredients were great. I loved the cordon bleu!

The restaurant fully lives up to its name! The selection of pizza is incredible! If you can’t handle the standard one (like me), you can order a small one! In addition to pizza, there is a fairly large menu of different dishes: appetizers, main dishes, desserts... We had lunch on the street: very nice, cozy and comfortable! By the way, if you want to go there, you need to book a table in advance, everything is booked! The restaurant does not deliver food, but you can always come and pick it up! There is enough delicious pizza for everyone!

Excellent restaurant, great food. There are outdoor places to enjoy the summer with lots of greenery around. There is also inside seating. Rustic restaurant in a quiet area. Prices are a little higher than average but if you want to eat well something extra is worth the money. I've always had a great time, I highly recommend it.

Once upon a time it was a nice place where you could eat well, now the pizza has been burnt more than once and if you get a breaded one it's basically just breading without meat. Sin!!

The menu is rich and varied, not to mention the portions which are immense, tasty fresh both for lunch and dinner... The desserts are very good and the prices are fair. I would eat there every day

We always eat well. A guarantee, the only note I have to make is to update the end time of the kitchen which, compared to what is written on the site, closes at 9.30pm and not at 10pm. I hope you take note of it.

Variety of meat and fish, both excellent and abundant dishes, even the pastas are no joke. There's the pizza, but in our opinion it's a waste to go there to eat a pizza with such good food.

🍕🍝🍷Il Sole is a genuine and historic Pregassona's restaurant. In synthesis: good quality, right price, large quantity and kind service. It's just a bit crowded (always)..I love pizza(ask for their secret and super special "Lo vede che Stuzzica-Pizza"). Pasta plates are huge!!! Buon appetito.

During our visit the owner was incredibly nice and even though we only had 30 minutes to eat he cooked us two extra good dishes in a short time and with impeccable and friendly service. I'm sorry because I've seen staff who speak more loudly than customers.... the pizza was poorly made I ordered an oil the pizza chef replied that he already put it. I'm sorry before the Sole pizzeria was an example 🌞 now NO . But I didn't expect to find pizza 🍕 prepared that way. I hope the rejecter tastes sauce from the pizza 🍕 and tells the staff not to talk loudly to each other when they are guests. The dessert was good.

Last night 4 of us came to you at 7.00pm, at 7.10pm we ordered 4 pizzas, at 7.55pm 2 arrived, after 5/6 minutes 1 more arrived and at 8.10pm we canceled the other because we had to go, but the thing that personally bothered me during our wait was that many takeaway pizzas came out and we were waiting!! I believe that if a customer is in your restaurant having dinner he has priority and the take-away pizzas were probably ordered later. At the time of payment the waiter was even offended without us having said anything!!! The staff should be reminded that it is the customer who gives them the opportunity to receive their salary at the end of the month.

despite everything being full, the service was surprisingly very fast, in fact I started eating before those sitting at the tables next to me, even though I had arrived after them (maybe because they had ordered the pizza which was in great demand that evening). Be careful with bottled beer: mine was expired a week ago, which is still fine however the taste could be affected

A big thank you to the owner, i felt the warm italian hospitality when i visited on 10th Jan 🙏🙏. I arrive at about 250pm, and they had already closed for lunch...however, the owner was really kind to ask the chef and team 'hold off' closing the kitchen. He asked me if I was okay with a simple Arrabiata. I said, of cos! Its what i actually wanted! So, no guesses, I had the Penne Arrabiata. The portion was huge and the sauce was good. After i was done, the owner asked if I wanted desserts or coffee. I had an Espresso and tiramisu to complete my homely italian meal. It was very delicious too! I recommend visiting them if you visit Lugano. Please make sure you call before heading over (i think they close at 230pm for lunch)

Very high prices (€110 for 3 pizzas and an appetizer with 3 beers) and not excellent quality. Then the 4 cheese pizza with mascarpone pieces and grated parmesan on top, I've honestly never seen it before
