Very good hotel, close to the train station, ideal for discovering Lugano, the breakfasts are great!

Fantastic location and staff. Rooms have what's needed. This hotel accepts payments in Bitcoin. The only downside: limited breakfast.

Accustomed to travelling, when I come to Lugano I book this hotel with certainty. I can always count on their full availability for any of my requests, they always give their best. Congratulations for your top quality service! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is varied and with fresh products. Not to forget the very central location, a stone's throw from the station and the center of Lugano. I highly recommend.

Stayed for a night on 9th December 2023.Excellent service at reception and restaurant .The starters were amazing,steak was excellent and we were served home baked cookies which was just so heavenly. Their two waiters at the restaurant was top notch.They were so warm and pleasant from the start to the end of our dinner. Reception provided us heaters immediately when we needed it that night. This is such a vibrant hotel which nakes you feel at home. Thank you to the hotel management and restaurant team once again

Our experience was great! This hotel has very nice, sweet and committed employees. The location was also perfect. Rooms are of good temperature, clean with nice beds.

Hotel Federale in Lugano - a very well-known and highly sought-after hotel, conveniently located near the train station and a stone's throw from the city center. Extremely friendly welcome at check-in, which was quick and uncomplicated. A beautiful room on the 4th floor - clean and well-kept, with a balcony and a beautiful view of Monte Bré. We stayed in this house for two nights and nothing was missing. A delicious and varied breakfast in the morning, as well as a fine nightcap in the evening - we enjoyed it in this venerable house. Gladly again !

Une cuisine raffinée, un service parfait, la qualité des repas est exceptionnel, avec un bon Merlot du Ticino à l'effigie de l'hotel.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, excellente Küche mit sehr guten 4-Gang Menüs und auch à la carte Gerichten, sehr schöne Weinauswahl!

Zowel het diner als het ontbijt de volgende ochtend waren erg goed. De beste huisgemaakte lasagne en risotto die we ooit hebben gegeten. Attente bediening, geadviseerde wijn en koffie ook uitstekend. Prachtige ruimte. Helemaal top!

Nous avons déjà manger plusieurs fois dans ce restaurent et nous avons toujours été satisfait. La mets sont de bonne qualité et la quantité également.A recommander vivement.

Wir haben im Hotel Federale übernachtet und daher neben dem Abendessen im hauseigenen Restaurant „Il Ristorante San Lorenzo“ auch gefrühstückt. Beides war sehr gut. Der Speiseraum ist - wie das ganze Restsurant und Hotel - ruhig gelegen, die Tische sind mit weißen Tischtüchern belegt, die Ober hilfsbereit, freundlich und schnell. Das Restaurant wie auch das Hotel kann ich ohne Einschränkung empfehlen (wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5. OG mit einem super schönen Ausblick auf Lugano, die Berge und teilweise auf den See...), wirklich traumhaft!

Posto elegante ed accogliente a due passi dal centro di Lugano, personale qualificato e competente, cibo fantastico!! Consigliassimo, si mangia davvero bene, ci tornerò sicuramente!!

Ein sehr tolles Ambiente und ausgezeichnete Küche mit top Service. Es gibt jeden Tag ein super preiswertes und ausgewogenes Abendmenu. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auch sehr gute à la carte Küche.

Si vous voulez faire plaisir a vos papilles c'est l'endroit idéal, les prix sont corrects et la carte est bien élaborée.

Nebst dem preiswerten Tagesmenue gab es eine schöne à la carte-Auswahl und alles war sehr fein zubereitet. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Den Abschluss haben wir mit Zigarre und Whisky genossen.

Unsere Erfahrung war einfach außergewöhnlich. Ein Ort, an dem du deinen müden Körper ausruhen kannst (nachdem du wochenlang von der anderen Seite der Welt gereist bist) und dich mit Nahrung füllst, die jeden anderen Gedanken der Welt ausstrahlen wird, außer dass du anwesend bist.

Il grande cuoco Thomas non ci delude mai! Torneremo sicuramente presto. Il ristorante non è purtroppo visibile dall’esterno per cui non fatevi problemi ad entrare nell’hotel federale e chiedere alla ricezione...

Il cuoco a lavorato prima per i migliori hotel di Berna (Bellevue e Schweizerhof) e la cucina è eccezionale. Anche la qualità dei prodotti impeccabile. Bravi continuate cosi!

Каждый год останавливаемся в гостинице Federale и ужинаем в ресторане San Lorenzo. Еда очень вкусная, есть комплексный ужин из семи блюд за 45 франков - стандартные цены для Швейцарии. Обычные блюда 18 - 40 франков. Блюда вкусные, но самое лучшее - атмосфера настоящей Швейцарии. Пожилая хозяйка обходит все столы и приветствует гостей. Летом можно ужинать на улице. Тихий дворик, вокруг зелень, парк... очень умиротворяюще...

Nous étions a l'hôtel Fédérale et nous avons naturellement diner au Ristorante San Lorenzo qui n'est autre que le restaurent situé dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel.Menus 4 plats de très bonne qualité, avec un rapport qualité prix excellant pour l'endroit.

Restaurante excelente, com tempo bom as mesas ficam no jardim do hotel. A comida é digna de um restaurante estrelado, o atendimento e muito bom.

Haben super gegessen. Der Wein günstig und gut. Der Service ist auch super. Komme wieder ins San Lorenzo.

Еда неприхотливая, но очень вкусная. Обслуживание превосходное. За ужином выходят здороваться с клиентами владельцы. Очень уютная летняя терраса. Идеальное место для тихого семейного или романтического ужина. Цены, по меркам Швейцарии, средние.

Le restaurant San Lorenzo de au rez de l’hôtel Fédéral dispose d’une très belle salle à manger boisée, le petit déjeuner était très bien garni de produits frais divers et le menu du soir, choisi, était très bon et très bien servi par un personnel compétant. Vous pouvez aussi disposer d’une belle terrasse calme.

Alles mit Liebe gekocht. Super entrecotes Medium gebraten. First Class Pommes frittes . Weinkarte mit moderaten Preisen . Angenehmes Ambiente , sehr zu empfehlen Marcel

Freundliche Kellner - diese waren sehr aufmerksam. Speisen sind regional und die Preise für die Region angemessen.

Eravamo ospiti dell'Hotel Federale (decisamente consigliato) e abbiamo deciso di provare il ristorante dell'hotel.Vista la bella serata abbiamo avuto la fortuna di mangiare nel bel giardino esterno visto che la serata lo permetteva.Abbiamo mangiato la dadolata di agnello con insalata di couscous, presentazione e gusto ottimi. Per terminare ci sono stati proposti dei formaggi perlopiù locali accompagnati da frutta fresca e marmellate, tutto accompagnato dalla gentilezza e svoir faire del personale, decisamente di ottimo livello.Unico appunto forse è da fare in merito alla selezione dei dessert che probabilmente non andava di pari passo con il resto.Se siete a Lugano e volete provare qualcosa fuori dai soliti locali del centro ve lo consigliamo vivamente! Es schmeckte uns wie auch im Jahr zuvor Ausgezeichnet. Es hat sich an der Qualität und dem Service nichts geändert. Werden gerne wieder dort speisen.

Wir aßen zweimal hier und das Frühstück doppelt so gut. Die erste Nacht, in der ich Kalbfleisch mit wundervollen Sauce serviert wurde. Es tut mir leid, ich kann Ihnen den Namen der Gericht oder Sauce geben, aber es reicht zu sagen, dass das Essen war wunderbar. Die zweite Nacht war ich serviert eine sehr gute mediterrane Whitefish. Es hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Unser Kellner war sehr aufmerksam und verständnisvoll wie wir zwei kleine Kinder mit unserer Gruppe von 4 Erwachsenen. Toller Wein, Vorspeisen und Desserts. Eine nette Geste war das Aussehen der Besitzer des Hotel (Hotel Federale), die jeden Gast persönlich begrüßt.

Wir haben 2 mal in dem Restaurant gegessen als Gast des Hotels Federale. Es waren beide mal das Abendmenü , eines davon speziell für den 1.August. Beidemal war das Essen ausgezeichnet. Es wurde schön angerichtet und vom freundlichen Personal schnell serviert. Das Preis / Leistungsverhältinis ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Die einzige Frage die sich mir stellte war : Weshalb hatte das Besteck unterschiedliche Gravuren ? Mal war es Hotel Federale , dann Hotel Adler oder Milan(o). Das wäre noch spannend zu wissen.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Das Zimmer war wunderbar mit Holztäfelung und viele, viele Fenster. Der Service war das beste von allem.
