Very nicely located above Ricken, there are enough parking spaces on Rickenstrasse at the edge of the forest, very nice to walk up, summer and winter. Friendly staff and good barley soup😊

A short climb from the parking lot and you're in this beautiful hut near Lake Obersee. Fantastic views and the volunteers from the Rapperswil/Jona ski club help you immediately feel at home. Small musical program and full house, people had to wait outside on January 1st, 2024! It's worth taking a look here!

"FIVE OUT OF FIVE" I stopped here today as part of a short hike for a cooling cider and I felt very comfortable, the courteous service from the lady in waiting and an absolutely moderate price for a cider (0.5 l/bottle = 5 CHF). I'd love to come back, greetings from the Säuliamt!

Went to the Rittmarren alpine farm in Gommiswald this afternoon. Simply fantastic: beautiful view towards the upper Lake Zurich, cozy and homely restaurant and garden restaurant, small but delicious menu with all sorts of delicacies such as Zigerbrütli, homemade barley soup, sausage cheese salad, "schloziger" potato salad as you love it and, for dessert, meringues with whipped cream or a Glarner stem, etc. Friendly and cheerful hostesses!! Simply great, ideal for a hike whether long or short, something for everyone. A rustic mountain pub with good cuisine, wonderful views of the mountains and, above all, Lake Zurich. Simply homely and comfortable to linger.

Old mountain hut with changing restaurants (Ski Club Rapperswil-Jona). There is plenty of free parking space downstairs. Be sure to take your sleigh with you in winter. It has a cool toboggan run. However, if it is dark you should take a headlamp with you. 🛷🛖🇨🇭

Unfortunately, the summer season is coming to an end. Today we said goodbye to the very friendly waitress (with Rasta hairstyle). We are looking forward to spring so that we can be served in a very friendly and charming manner again. An alpine pub with a lot of charm, good, simple cuisine (no other option without electricity) and very friendly service. See you next year Paula and Urs

A great place to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Easily by car by bike or on foot in summer and in winter by sleigh.
